Hey everyone, I hope you enjoyed the video! I just wanted to remind you all that settings here are super personal - what feels nice on my rig may or may not feel nice on yours - just keep that in mind! I hope that this video helps you set up your own system and navigate what software to choose. Take care everyone!
Ho! Thanks, I hadn't thought about using both in parallel. I was only using SimHub. I find that they are better via the Sim in LFE. Too bad the software doesn't include a multichannel!
This is a very interesting take, I also have 2 channels but I use wheel slip on Simhub. For me wheel slip takes priority and is the highest frecuency and volume, this makes it very separate instead of centralized and it works like a charm. Then again it has taken me a long time to fine tune simhub.
Was curious to see your findings. I have 3 bass shakers and also use both simhub and lfe. The bass shakers + trueforce on my Logitech dd wheel is pretty insane immersion in vr. The iracing trueforce is outstanding
Got my first bass shaker last week (dayton bst 300ex) attached to the back of my ASR6 and i was only using simhub,,, decided to try LFE tonight and holyyyy shit lots of effects feels wayyy more natural! I received my haptics for my p2000’s tonight so i plan on using sinhub for my p2000 and lfe for my single bass shaker 300w!
Excellent video, to explain something that’s a bit confusing for getting started with haptics. And making sure you don’t have both LFE and Simhub running the same effects at the same time and making things sloppy. I’ve mounted a Dayton TT25 on each of gas and brake pedals. One BST-1 bolted to the rig near the back. And I’ve got two TT25 left over that I’ll probably stick in the seat itself. Using a Nobo 2x50w in front and a 2x100w for the rear and seat ones. And will be using some of your tips to fine tune. Thanks.
Great video! So far my tactile setup consists of 6 channels (left/right and main with transducers/bass-shakers glued to the seat, another shaker underneath the pedal-plate and rumble-motors for brake/throttle). There's not that much space left on the seat shell but I'm gonna add another bass-shaker on the lower back for LFE effects. It really adds a lot to immersion, especially with VR.
I found your videos recently for having a lower budget bass shaker and went with one BST-2 (35W) don’t think it’ll have too much difference with the 50w. In small testing on Sebring using your settings for simhub and lfe it gave me more consistent vibrations that were not overbearing or incorrect. For the moment on my 1 shaker setup I removed the abs as well I added accel gforce when the TC activates while accelerating it gives a good indication of what’s happening in the rear
Just ordered two Dayton Audio BST-1 50w Bass Shakers from Sound Imports. Thanks for the suggestion, they were a great price. Looking forward to getting the rest of the setup and trying this out.
Yea I prefer LFE over sim hub, just wish iracing would have a setting to separate from front to rear. I've been doing a lot more formula 4 on iracing, and having the ability to feel the back starting to slide on a high-speed corner is super useful.
What i don't understand and nobody talks about, is the fact that wheelslip is only in the lfe channel. Simhub doesn't have telemetry for wheelslip from iracing, it has to calculate and assume it on its own. So the effect should definitely be delivered differently. Would really like to know how the are different to each others.
I'm lucky that RBR has wheelslip in the telemetry, since that's a nice effect to have in rally racing. It seems odd to me that iRacing wouldn't have it, maybe it's something they could add in the future if people asked for it.
@jasonlowmaster Ya, like iracing is going do that. Their tire model is crap. It's unrealistic and when real championship drivers across all the worlds top racing series publicly say this iracing still does not fix this glaring problem. The fastest people are the ones who learn how to exploit and manulipate the tires and setup physics models. AKA : Glitches. The tires should be more forgiving and dynamic as how they wear, flat spots, flat tires in general and slow punctures. With rain coming first we will see how bad the tires work. People will be certainly complain due to the lack of grip running in the rain.
I use LFE in iRacing for wheel slip and gears. I use Simhub at the same time but only with the wheel lock option. Allows me to get the best feel from iRacing but with a really obvious feel when the wheels lock.
great tutorial and explanation. I got my first buttkicker this week and many things are not so clear to me how to use the buttkicker gamer plus perfectly with iracing especially and with other sims. whats your suggestions for a single setup and which lfe parameters should be atcivated and on which volume in lfe section? do you suggest to use some simhub effects too beside lfe in iracing for a single setup and which do i have to deactivate in iracing? would be great to hear from you and many thanks.
Thanks mate :) for a single transducer setup, I would most likely go only with LFE, and then maybe test adding one or two SimHub effects on top of that based on preference.
hey there, i have a problem with the new simhub version and that is that my shakelt bass shaker control for muting does'nt work any more. strange, any ideas about this? loved the videos about the basshakers installation btw.
Thanks for this nice video ... question .. how to disable each effects in LFR if I want to replicate your configuration .. also, I see Game Audio, what is it and can it be disabled?
IS the SimHub Channel Profile in this third video the same as the one you uploaded in the first video? I don't play iRacing, I run AMS2 so I need SimHub for all of my effects. I just ordered the amp and bass shakers based on the first video and would like a good example profile file to get me started that has all of the settings using SimHub. Watching this video shows that you diverted some of the effects to LFE instead. So if I downloaded the profile from the first video, will it have all of the effects mapped as you did in that video, or is that file also the updated file to use LFE? I downloaded both and see they both have the exact same name. Just curious. Thanks for the videos as I've been debating haptics for a while on my rig but needed a little nudge in the right direction! Also, thanks for sharing your profile files.
Thanks for the tips - it is very difficult to find good information on how to tune haptics with simhub! I have a quick question: I have a gamer pro for under my chair and then I have some of the Simagic HPRs for my throttle and brake. Could I do something similar to your setup where I dedicate all the localized settings to the HPRs on my pedals and then run LFE for the gamer pro below my seat? I fear that your recommend localized settings for the front of the rig will create too much noise when combined with the simhub settings I already have dedicated to the pedals, such as wheel lock and traction loss. I could potentially remove traction loss from the HPRs and keep the lock settings, plus all the localized simhub settings you recommend? I just feel that HPRs plus another Gamer pro under the pedals might be overkill and I can just create this 2 channel system synthetically through the HPRs instead. Thanks in advance for any helpful answers!
Hi Harrison, does iRacing see the gamer pro as a separate sound output option to the HPRs? If yes, then doing what you just described should be possible!
Your series of 3 videos on LFE/shakers are excellent 👍 Will I need 2 Nobsounds to implement this or can I use a single Nobsound and send the LFE and Simhub signals via the left and right channels?
How do you turn off certain effects in LFE ? There’s no option to turn off certain effects there’s just options to adjust the decibel output (I’m assuming 0db is off) ??
On the iRacing LFE settings, I presume anything not listed in your settings is set to -40bd. What about Game Audio, should that be -40db, what does it do? What about the -10db Cut?
So this might be a dumb question but planning on getting 2 bass shakers. Since I wont have the amp beside me I Wonder if its possible to bind the master volume on the shakers in simhub on a let say turning knob on a buttonbox?
That's a good question. I know it's possible to bind volume for LFE to whatever button, so you're covered for that. On SimHub I'm not sure if it's possible. I don't think so honestly. But alt-tabbing out of the game, when in practice sessios, to quickly adjust that slider, isn't that much of a hassle (for me at least). It would only really be difficult to do during races.
@@LDFR thanks! Think ill just be doing simhub when I get it tbh and no like you said, not a big deal to alt-tab but im planning om building a ignition/start mini buttonbox and if it did work with a turning knob for the master volume i would put that there aswell 😅

@@LDFRThank you so much! Today I'll receive my Nobsound amplifier and I'll test everything. You have done an amazing job homie! Wish you the best :) Have a great day!
@@LDFRI appreciate the reply. My question is more so how do I allow iRacing to output to two butt kickers? Under my LFE settings on iRacing it only allows me to select 1 butt kicker.
That’s why I use LFE for effects that I’d like to feel across my entire rig, like wheel slip! And funnily enough I only feel the rev limiter effect under my pedals - I think your brain does a good job at tricking you to feel certain effects from where they are supposed to come from!
