Warhammer fans, this is how us Halo fans felt when Reach first came out. The customization, full campaign, co-op, and PVP modes... It's like we're back in 2010. Can't wait for this game!

Halo Reach is still my number 1 game ever, Space Marine 2 gives me that same classic Xbox 360 nostalgia as the old halo games did back then and i couldnt be more hyped

As a Raven Guard player, I am deeply perturbed by the lack of Mk. VI helmets.
Yeah I want to use the Mark 7.
Second best Space Marine helmet out there, yeah, I think that does seem off.
Maybe issues with it clipping the armour? Only thing I can think of

It's about damn time we're able to create our own Chapters in a videogame. Space Marine customisation has sooo much potential
You're able to do that in Dawn of War 1 and in the first space marine game

Same. I wish they had a true crimson fist set like sm1. But it's good enough.
I imagine there will be an arm option which breaks down the colour options to hand and arm.
At 3:03 where that second colour option is greyed out, I would assume that one of the other "patterns" of gauntlet will provide the ability to colour different sections individually

Yeah but there's a 5% chance of it getting spilled everywhere and ruining your new carpet. That chance increases every mission.

Oh! So you CAN change the color on the rim of the pauldrons. Fantastic! That means I'm going to be able to recreate another of my favorite miniatures I painted in-game.

343 could learn a couple things about how to make a good customization system.
343 knew a good system from Bungie, they just choose not to implement it.

More importantly the skin color... Salamanders are missing that charcoal look... I suppose the red eyes as well is a big thing. Not that I would likely have a helmet off for them or anything.

I'm hoping we eventually get hand color changes specifically so I can do Crimson Fists. It'll also be good for Storm Wardens.
At 2:44 when he goes in to change the arm colour, you can see there’s an option for “pattern”. I assume that will be for the hand colour, as it is in SM1

It was on the list of Chapter schemes you can unlock. Perfect fit for the Bulwark class imo.

How do you unlock armor? I have only the original blue. Played 2 to 3 hrs so far. Am I missing something?

The customisation system looks great! Tho it's a bit sad that there is no pattern for recoloring the "face" part of the helmet. That looks great on the Mark X ones.

Hell, I may get this game just so I can plan and preview my marine model's paint schemes.
problem is you have to do this FOR EVERY CLASS they have. makes no sense. that and that they have class amount limits during online matches. so you can spend an hour tweaking your dude, go to an online match, and then not be able to select that class because 2 other players already took that class.
I want to see what customization you get for playing through the campaign missions?
I pray to the Emperor there is no pay wall behind these armors and paints
They already said there would be paid and free cosmetic dlc.
12 Space Marine armor color sets are listed as dlc and part of an Ultramarine successor pack.

I am hoping we get more First Bourne armor types

This is amazing customization, but I hope the studio develops it further. We need the option to only paint the hands (as an Crimson Fists and Night Lords fan this is non negotionable) and more previous Armor type Helmet options.

You mentioned quarter patterns but can you paint the chest plate two different colors to complete the quarter?
I'm sad that there doesn't seem to be firstborn helmets and armor for the customization, like the Mk 6 and 7.

The ultimate customization option would be unthinned paint.
If only we were able to upload our own chapter emblems I could straight up make my whole chapter. I get why we can't (the TTD would be 0 for one) but from past experiences, no one has a simple circled dot emblem (think the Target logo, but different colors.)

As much as I love this game, the convoluted customization menus are a bit ridiculous they should’ve just put color sliders on each piece of the armor and the emblems and a section for presets instead of all these menus
