    I lives in the USA for 24 years plus and a professional by trade. I am grateful to God for where I am today financially, stability wise. Western world is not all roses. Saying relocating because of your child or children is a bushit. It's very difficult to raise children in the west. They've too much freedom

    Please go back and enjoy your life jare. Abroad is overrated. We're unfortunately just a people that have been raised from childhood to hate being ourselves. There's more crime in western world than Nigeria, more depression than Nigeria, more mental illness than Nigeria more loneliness than Nigeria.

      At least you are getting the services you are striving for. Your children are in Ok schools without thinking so much on exhobitant school fees for a reasonable school. Healthcare (emergency services) you are not thinking of how you would rush your spouse or relative to the emergency unit. I don't know the Job you do but I believe you have acquired some soft skills. Good for her! The ones that regretted selling their properties are angry at her decision. No one told you people to sell your properties. She didn’t destroy her Nigerian assets, that’s why it’s easier for her to go back home. If you don’t want to restart your life and make it work in Nigeria, more grease to your elbow. 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬

      @raycorey 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Exactly! Stop selling your properties 😂😂😂. I have been saying this and leaving comments on every Nigerian forum. But some would NOT listen, they would sell their properties and then they get abroad and realise it’s not what they think it is, it would/could take them over 10 years to build the properties that they sold, and in most cases they never get to rebuild the properties that they sold back home.

    Not everyone is trying to leave; that’s a simplistic statement. I did my MSc and PhD at Coventry Uni & came back to Nigeria to establish businesses in 2014. I prefer traveling for fun on my own time and terms, than the immigration trap that most Nigerians are in abroad. The access to the UK and wherever I want to go to helps, because I go when I want and leave when I want. I don’t have to be in the UK counting pennies from month to month, not having time for myself or my family and pretending like I’m living my best life. This is relative.
    It’s a trap because once you are in, and probably having sold all your belongings to relocate abroad, you are forced to remain there albeit unwillingly. I know tons of people in this bag. Give me safety in Nigeria I’m good.

    The summary is loneliness and culture shock. If Nigeria were to be a functional state you would pay a substantial amount of tax like developed countries. In that sense the satisfaction you get abroad will always be relative. My advice for you sis, don't go back home yet. Have a temporary stability in the UK then go home on holiday to see if its worth it to go back home right now. Only then decide.

    • @gloryokwata1912
      @gloryokwata1912 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Not everybody is broke abroad you know. And definitely not everyone is in misery abroad. With the economic state of Nigeria, I wouldn't advice my enemy to go back home right now, except they have something solid they're going back home for. My advise is not professional, it's just my opinion based on the case she presented and I've also tasted what she's tasting right now. By all means go home if you must, but unlike some people who travel aimlessly cause of the advantage of exchange rate, we intend having dual residency and be free to move round the world, which comes with great social-economic benefits and also excellent for the pockets 💷 . I think she needs to look and reasses why she's broke and work on that. I'll speak for myself, I haven't seen a broke Nigerian here where I live in the UK. You don't have to agree with me, after all its he that wears the shoes that knows the itching point.
      Again, have a temporary stability here, then go home to visit, test for a few weeks and see how that works. Some people have actually regretted running back home without a solid plan, most especially with the uncertainty in Nigeria right now. If you must, please have a genuine and honest plan at least. May God guide you in your decision making sis, good luck.

      Nigerian can be a functional state with very minimal tax because unlike some of these developed western countries, we’re blessed with natural resources so why pay “substantial amount of tax like developed countries” who depend on tax to run their country. Huge example is Dubai

    • @gloryokwata1912
      @gloryokwata1912 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @BantsWithOyin I totally agree with you. However, have you considered the disperity in population of both nations? Coupled with the greed level present in Nigeria? Again, you're absolutely right, it will cost Nigeria nothing to make the country even greater than Dubai, but the forces against the nation are far greater than the ones for it unfortunately.

They fail to realise that there are other factors that make people nostalgic. Until you live here for many years, you can't really understand what many people are passing through or the message they're trying to put across. For me, home is still better. Period!

Better still, if you have a good JOB, most good companies in the UK provide its staff with private healthcare. Many people struggle to understand the differences among these concepts to get to what love is. hence why the most important things in relationships such as loyalty, trust, and teamwork are often overlooked and missing. Is it because she did not bring her pancake face with surgery body and photo shop from Instagram to this show. What is even globally, that is exactly how men tie themselves in trouble. God is her maker. They won't pray or do anything with God, and some women also, they will not here. After they will start looking for Pastor Jerry, deliverance ministers and smart medical doctors to help them. So she should read this comment abi and see herself as not fine because she is not global. Helen Paul was on this show the other day, that lady tried her best through life. Women, beauty is good, but maximizing all that God gave you will manifest you.
