You are the only person that has gone this deeply into Jackie, the greatest male R&B/R&R singer of his generation. Give a watch to him doing "To Be Loved", a black and white version from the old "Ed Sullivan Show". You'll really get to see him in a live setting, and again, you'll get to hear that incredible voice in all it's glory. Jackie could sing any damn thing, from R&B to gospel, rockabilly, rock or standards like this, and sing it like no one else.

I loved Jackie, my parents played his music constantly! If there was a party going on in our house, you can believe Jackie Wilson‘s music would be on the stereo!

I loved listening to this when I was a child. My parents had their romantic moments after all the chores on the farm were done & all us kids tucked in. But then Jackie among others came floating up the stair ways. They danced & talked quietly about their plans & dreams . The '50s/'early '6-s =Fond memories.

The thing about Jackie is his live performances sound exactly like his studio recordings. Check him out singing this same song LIVE on the Ed Sullivan show. There’s never been nor will there ever be a once in a lifetime entertainer like Jackie Wilson

He was such an incredible talent, and entertainer, which makes it even more heartbreaking to know that Jackie spent 9 years in a semi vegetable state before he died. What a cruel end.

💗 Reet Petit by Jackie Wilson is my favourite and a complete switch-up to this one. It’s so fun (especially the video with the plasticine characters). I think you’d love it 😊

💗Jay I love how connected you are to these legends. Jackie had one of the greatest voices ever check out (You Were Made For) All My Love also his q957 hit Reet Petite which was re-release in 1986 and reached #1 in the UK. Further down the rabbit hole check out St Therese Of The Roses by Billy Ward and the Dominoes where Jackie is the lead singer.
