Sawn-off simply means the barrel was hacked off to a shorter length (which is typically very illegal in our society due to it adding unintended conceal-ability). You could saw the barrel of any weapon off to a shorter length, but typically it's done to shotguns (particularly double barrelled ones for some reason) since it also causes the projectiles to spread more. It also just looks more intimidating on screen.
It's annoying but it makes sense. If they don't nerf automatics to an extent, no one would choose anything else. It would just be dude with automatic shotgun ass raping everyone else

They done goofed for Team Fortress 2. What they did was use the in-game itemtest which is only intended for modders and creators to essentially swap the stock Scattergun's model with the Force-a-Nature. That's why it's got six shots and the Scout reloads each shot individually. Instead of renting the actual weapon from the in-game store which would have been simple enough... Quality video I guess
To anyone that lives under a rock and didn't understand Force-a-Nature reload, it's because he's using the console command "itemtest", which pretty much just gives your default weapon a skin of the weapon you want, doesen't change stats, Force-a-Nature in TF2 is double barreled and only reload once, ejecting both cartridges and inserting one.

Midlow some shotguns like that have spring loaded ejectors. Usually only the high-end ones. I own one I know they exist. Sawing off the barrel does not stop it from functioning.
Midlow if you're talking about the clip mentioned in the post I was responding to he fires once, ejects the spent shell, loads a new shell, and then fires twice and ejects 2 shells.

the double barrel from tf2 (called in game "Force-a-Nature") is not the actual weapon. he entered in a map that developers use to test weapons, and all the weapons has the same stat has the stock (scattergun for scout).
In TF2, you have to get the item first when you play it. It doesn't even take that long. But this "i put time to my videos" guy used console commands to change the model of the weapon. And not the stat itself.
To solve all of the TF2 confusion. Tigerfield went into itemtest to use the shotgun instead of using the regular one. Itemtest guns are reskins of the stock guns (this one, in this situation uses 6 bullets). So Tigerfield was lazy and used itemtest and caused a huge embarrassment for us.
I might have missed the point of the video, but all shotguns showed the firing animation(s) and the reload, nothing more. Whether the TF2 one is accurate doesn't have much relevance, and anyone who plays TF2 knows that the FAN has two shots. I don't get how that can be a "huge embarassment", unless your TF2 ego is more fragile than a glass sheet.

Not knowing anything about guns isn't something that automatically makes someone bad or inferior, though. There are people who play shooters that aren't interested in guns at all (specially in TF2, it's a popular and "funny" game), not to mention that TF2 itself has gun mechanics that don't actually make sense at all, like rocket launchers or grenade launchers being reloaded, or the endless cycle of reloading the sticky ball thing launcher and the stock scattergun. Also, if people assume that anyone who plays X game that doesn't make sense on Y aspect automatically doesn't know about Y aspect, then these people got a screw loose and don't know the difference between a developer and a player. The players didn't make the gun mechanics, at least not for the most part. I'm not sure any player would say "hey, let's load four rockets in the same tube and fire them in perfect succession, it's going to be a super realistic gun".
