Hey Justin I just replaced all my leaf spring bushings on my freightliner cascadia a few weeks back but I didn't have a tiger tool press , I went to a machine shop and got them to make me a thick metal plate and used a bottle air jack and pressed the old ones out and new ones in
I had to do one on a medium duty freightliner last weekend and none of my drivers would work. I drilled the center out and took my air saw to split the outside part of the bad one. To get the new one in I went and got dry ice and let it shrink and was able to tap it in with my smallest dead blow. I don’t think I’d get that lucky again lol
I wouldn't even start that job without that TIGER TOOL. That thing is pretty much a requirement ! JST as always....getting her done. Love tools, tools, tools, tools, tools, tools, tools, tools, tools, tools, tools.
Couple of questions. First, did you buy the basic bushing tool, and did you have to buy another kit get the parts you needed to fit those pins ? Second, Would it be better to set it down before tightening the pinch bolts, so that there is no twisting load on those pins unless there's load on the truck ? Only reason I ask is because it seems like that extra constant load would accelerate the wear on the bushings and shackles. I've the king pin tool and some of the other tools, and they're definitely worth the money.
Those Dewalt 3/8 impacts have some balls, almost to much for ita size you gotta watch out, just today I broke a 3/8 stainless bolt tightening it up and broke it clean in half
Absolutely love watching this guy. No filter just America lol
Because of this video I decided to purchase this tool. Thanks Justin!

I usually use my impact on the nut end not on the bolt end mate
Yessiree, usually the best side to wrench is the nut itself.

Have you ever tested those electric impacts against air impacts.?
Nice tool! I still have my bushing driver kit from back in the 70’s but it isn’t hydraulic you used a sledgehammer. And yes it was almost impossible!
I like the square handle screwdriver from Cornwall
