I got to give it to Hardman. The way he played everyone from Jessica to Harvey to Mike. Even played Tanner. All just to take back his firm. The plotting is A+.

@@twit9129 but the thing is it did work. He got the firm and he won, Mike had to bait him for him to lose. All he had to do was look at the supposed sign document and if he did, Hardman would have won and kept the firm. There was no legitimate way for him to lose, but he did lose because he didn’t look at the “signed” document.
He made a great antagonist
He did have 5 years to plan it
David Costabile is one of the greatest versatile tv actors of all time imo. He is in damages, suits, billions, the wire, breaking bad, and many more. Please give this man his flowers.

All the other's are great but Gabriel's acting is superb in this scene in the end, you can feel the tension in his face

He wasn’t talking about the partners paying cash he was talking about the people they care about having to deal with the lawsuit tanner brought against Harvey
What i loved about Hardman was that he never lost composure.

Donna once said that people hate that harvey is right all the time and as show proceeds we get to see it like this time harvey knew they're going to win this case in a court and when he refused to merg with Edward Darby and many more things, people didn't believed him and we get to see consequences.

Hardman is not badass looking, he doesnt have great aesthetics or stuff but you can tell he was rightfully villain

Harvey bills at a 1000$ per hour. Pretty sure Jessica charges more. And the other senior partners make at least as much as Harvey. Even working 8 hour days, 100,000$, is just over two weeks worth of pay for these people.
Are the partners really going to bat an eye for that small a sum of money, if it gets their star performer out of trouble?
Just cause they bill $1000 an hour doesnt mean they get $1000. You gotta factor in different fees and taxes. Im not saying they wont get a lot but def not the full amount

Hardman was the best antagonist. Dude was always composed, patient, intelligent, conniving and determined.
Even Jessica lost her composure, every character did EXCEPT Hardman.
The one time I remember seeing him falter (a tiny bit with emotion) was when Robert was gonna get disbarred for they were friends.
It honestly irks me the way Harvey gets mad at Hardman for crossing a line when he crosses lines with blackmail constantly
At the end of the day, Mike is right, if they didn’t settle then Harvey could lose his license or go to prison so Jessica losing leadership is better.
If I had a dollar for every time Hardman blinks, I’d have no money.

Show's writing wasn't the best
Hard man is the GOAT. It took Mike, Harvey and all everyone in a firm to defeat Hardman. After watching the whole season, i realized he could have been a better leader than Jessica, Zane, Harvey.
Jessica did not do anything other than walk around and wear dresses.
He may have been intelligent and skilled in manipulation, but that does not necessarily make him a great leader.
True, if anything, we've seen Hardman keep Louis down until he needed Louis to be on his side during the vote to oust Jessica. He doesn't take kindly to ambition other than his own.

David Costabile (the actor playing Hardman) is fantastic. Compare this character to the one he played in Breaking Bad, totally different.

Harvey was torn between his loyalty to Jessica and listening to Mike's short-termist theory; he should have stayed with Jessica. Lesson here is, trust your gut against popular sentiments and opinion.

I always knew that he didn't just return to the firm, he was gonna eventually put his once protégé Jessica and her protégé Harvey in their places so he can buy himself into the firm all over again.

Imagine they actually read the document it will take years, lawyers have to read 100's documents in a daily basis, so they do it to cut it short 😎

Daniel is very strategic. He made everyone pay a 100k out of their pocket. And then voted to take jessica down as managing partner. 😂 gotta love him.

From my understanding and do please correct me if I am wrong. But Hardman has every right to go after these two for how they backstabbed him and got him kicked out of the firm the first time. I think he is doing all of this to get some form of closure. Unless I am missing something of course.
He embezzled money from the firm for his mistress and lied about it by saying its for his dying wife's cancer treatment. I resent Harvey and Jessica's actions sometimes but in this instance Hardman had it coming.
They didn’t “backstab” him. They discovered his illegal and unethical activities and used that knowledge to force him to step down, which is what he should’ve done regardless.
