@@vincentdevitt7685 I wholeheartedly agree. A happy ship requires a happy crew. I have seen some yachts where crew quarters are so limited and substandard, that I would seriously consider putting crew in guest quarters at least most of the time. This ship is fitted for a crew of five. Six if the captain has a spouse/partner. But I would have liked to see their accommodations.
What a dream to leave and travel the world. Your opening statement agrees with my feelings that the more remote with only your shipmates the better. I totally envy all that were fortunate enough to of been on that around the world journey. What a beautiful ship.

I just recently subscribed to your channel and I realized why when watching this video. There are plenty of yachts out there that serve up luxury for the super rich, but they aren’t made to handle the worst seas and weather Mother Nature can throw out there. The SHIPS you feature are ships first, but with a luxury touch that make them a yacht. Hands down rather be on one that you feature than the ones featured on other channels. I absolutely LOVE this ship and only wish you could have given us more than a quick glimpse of highlights of the interior. And, this one proved it can go around the world. The others talk about range but no one talks about where they’ve actually gone to. I’d take an old working ship (or a yacht designed in the same manner) that’s proved it’s worth several times over as a yacht any day than something built more with a luxurious interior but not build for rough weather. What good is luxury if you lose its value on a rough sea? I’ve been in love with several you have featured, but this one is by far my favorite!
wow, thanks for the Super Thanks! I really appreciate it! And thanks for the feedback - glad you enjoyed the video! I am looking forward to seeing your future projects!
Beautiful vessel, I worked on Pangaea the 58m expedition yacht back in 2002, just amazing vessel and still is, I don’t get these white plastic toys that stayed tied up Ali g side or sit in a flat calm anchorage all year, as a master myself this is the vessel for me.
Wow, that thing is the definition of heaven on earth . If i had that thing i would likely never go ashore again except as needed for provisioning and maintenance . Probably one of the few boats i would choose over a bering . The quintessential charter machine . Jmo
My favorite parts of a vessel are the engine room and galley. Was actually surprised that twin 3406 Cats her power. Thought that larger displacement engines would be in order. I quess I'm thinking that if it were commercial she would have larger engines.
I'm not awfully physical and don't like RIBs. A larger more sedate tender is more appealing. I like the way this ship won't attract too much attention but maybe a superstructure covering the forward tender(s) would help. Huge fan of the interiors. Just my style. Maybe a few high volume air filters built into key locations for cigar smoke. I wonder where the 1000 count electric humidor will go?
Thanks for this super Vid my friend 👍👍👍 , yes Vripack is a reliable number for trawlers and explorers . In my opinion one of the best ship construction and design company . Also the newest generations of Vripacks yachts made in China are from very good quality , already checked 2 of this ships . Vripack is on top for me because this boat construction is perfect . Dont really know what I can made better , through and through engineered for crossing all season and oceans from this globe !
I was thinking... I wonder when some rich guy will buy an about to be decommissioned aircraft carrier and turn it into an explorer yacht lol. I'd love to see such a project come to life!☺🤗 Fuel Capacity: Yes Range: Yes 😂
I wonder if this (or any) yacht could have some dedicated outdoors space for crew? Or even if it's a good idea. Also... why have a main deck salon? I would extend the galley to include a juice bar and a rotisserie and a sushi bar and a Guinness beer tap. No carpets to dirty or curtains to odor... just easy access to that beer tap!
Being a Newfoundlander I would agree. That boat needs to do a trip up to Labrador. I would wash decks to go on that one. The limit of my big yachting experience is piloting in PNW waters, a 54 ft OA plus many trips as a passenger around Vancouver Island and most of Haida Guai.
I think that might be my new favorite superyacht. 😎 Great design and the interior decor is wonderful. The only thing I'd do a little differently is that I'd put a 6-8 person hot tub on the top deck somewhere, probably next to where they've got the sun loungers on the top stern deck.
What I find regarding most of these type of vessels is the crew cabins , crews doubled up etc . All crew members should have their own cabin (even if small ) so as to have their own space to relax when off watch . Being doubled up is not ideal for a happy ships crew .
Agreed. So few even provide privacy screens/curtains for bunks. And what's with the relatively giant showers/heads you often see in these crew quarters?! Give me a tiny "wet head" (combo toilet shower) & some more elbow room, if not privacy, thank you Capt Bligh. One thing to work in such close quarters on one of those floating mansions paddling around the Med, quite another for these long haul explorers on which you might go for weeks without an overnight break ashore somewhere. Seems like penny wise/pound foolish - keeping good crew that won't spit in your food and/or murder you in your sleep...lol.. Fascinating channel, YB. Keep it up. Please standardize your vid openers/blurb with specs, though - length, beam, crew & guest capacity, price, etc, so we wannabe gazillionaires can comparison shop...ha...
Ah, but what you do not take into consideration, is that the entitled European people assume that their servants serve them, without complaint. Recently an owner, I guess, fought for his position, that, crew make fantastic money, they can live in tiny crew space, cuz they are sub human, and do not need normal space. He was Turkish I believe. Maybe just a YT troll. Nothing against Turks tho. I guess I'm like most people, I'm kinda uncomfortable with folk serving me. In America, it's addressed with tips. Still bad, actually. Servants serving their "betters", have actually overthrown governments...
Except for the 'white wall' from the Portugese bridge to the fordeck it is perfect. Feel the wall needs something to take your eye from the mass of white.
I enjoy your vids, God knows I like Explorer/Expedition Yachts. I personally, as an ex U.S. Army soldier, can figure meters to yards, most Americans, probably your primary audience, can't, and won't bother. Math is hard :). Include both in your descriptions, not for me, but for the stupid people who have money. Best of luck...
It's a beautiful one, but personally, I would travel on ASTRA. I don't want to becpampered in a yacht, I want to work my behind off and battle the elements while respecting the sea.
Some of those gorgeous location pictures resemble the South China seas, the Philippines islands, and known for sea pirates. I'll take the Greek Islands. I guess if you can afford that ship, crew and captain, fuel and food for 3 years, I think you can afford 5 ex Navy Seal or Marine Corp Raiders as shipboard security specialist armed to repel any piratical borders.

She's a beautiful ship. The photos in the beginning are the places I think most of us dream of being should we ever have a vessel like this.
You can just imagine being sat at anchor in that little piece of paradise!
And the photo starting at 8.33 is the place I think most of us would rather avoid.
A very beautiful vessel with working ship lines,i love her.

What a beautiful boat.
Excellent! Perfect size. Big enough to to go anywhere and small enough to port anywhere.
Absolutely!
What a class act this is, staying onboard for three years would not be a problem ! I could probably spend a year and a half in that open air salon.
