If you look at the speeds they were going I doubt you would want to go faster than that. Most of uk roads are tight and twisty. I think the copper was much better on the brakes. The aim for them is not to loose sight.

If you watch the footage from the other angle (from the car parked next to the junction on the roundabout) the suspect moves into that lane as soon as he has spotted the stinger. Approaching a car driven by someone desperate to get away, without it being boxed, in is a sure fire way to get injured also. The safe thing to do was to sting it, so they did the right thing, the execution was lacking.

S3 are quick cars without even trying. Had one for a day at work, very agile, much better all round than a Golf R which I find a bit firm.

they did, and later on in the video when it turns you can see the rear left tyre is deflated.

For a full half a minute the police sat behind the offending car. Why wasn't the offender stopped then. As soon as the traffic started flowing again they threw out a spike strip. The car had been sitting in traffic for HALF A MINUTE. The police just wanted to play chase and endanger other road users. Very poor policing.
Glenn Maxfield because on the left was another police officer on foot waiting to sting him 01:30. If he went onto the hard shoulder/grass his life would be at risk if they try block him on the right. And if they tried to exit they’re car the s3 would’ve been in Somalia by the time they got back in

Listen to all the Audi drivers on here, raging, because their high powered car got done by the cops. ‘Was it in comfort mode’, ‘I would have got away’ etc etc. The thing is, imo, the speeds he was doing were on the limit of what would cause a collision. Of course the S3 can go faster, so can most cars, but it would have been a much shorter ‘pursuit’ if the S3 had went quicker. Dry your eyes.
