- New Balance's first dive into the basketball world came in the form of the New Balance 550, but it wasn't until recently that New Balance decided to bring it back from its archives. Is it just because of the Aimé Leon Dore collaboration or are these worthy enough to be an everyday beater? Find out in the video!

Got a friend in Amsterdam I recently talked to, the hype for these in Europe is real. She couldn't find a retail or at least near retail price for these 550s
I hope they get more attention here. So far, most of the peeps in the Philippines only paid attention to the Aime Leon Dore collab, so I can’t blame New Balance for not dropping more cw’s here 😕

Have the Navy GR pair and they quickly became my go to daily beaters. They are very comfortable compared to similar era (late 80s) basketball sneakers. The ALDs are by far the best cws though 👌 hope you hit on the raffle if you went for them. They were only 30 more retail and well worth it
The ALDs are clean! Although, I’m not exactly willing to spend double the amount of the GR pairs (in my country at least), but that’s just me. I do like the GR pairs though! Hoping they get more love in the sneaker community because it’s a great sneaker 🙌🏽

What do you think about going with white lace with black/grey model?
My personal preference would be the black laces just because I think it looks cleaner, but white laces would be a nice too. Kinda still goes with the colorway
@@zackisme111 I find this colorway is missing something. I have them and might try white laces
@@zackisme111 or maybe they just have to be broken in a bit. They’re quite stiff out of the box
@@adamvannicola7421 yeah they do need to be broken in a little bit, but it shouldn’t be as tough as breaking in a pair of Forces at least in my experience
