Had my appointment today. The lady I was assigned to almost forgot to ask me any question. She asked me my clan after giving me the ka paper.😂😂
She cleared me in less than 10 minutes.
Also, I'm a Muganda, and she was a Munyakore.
All I can say is there's no formula to these interviews. It's just luck I guess... but luck should also find you prepared. Make sure you have all the relevant documents that are required.
Hello Ms Annet, Thank you sharing such useful information. i appreciate it so much. i am inquiring if its possible to change my passport application from ordinary to express after getting an appointment for ordinary.
I was there and i realised that if you have a background of being a Mufumbira or a Rwandese (for example Both or one of the parents being a Mufumbira or a Munyarwanda) you will need to know your village well, like the parish, country and the rest. You may need to have a photocopy of your both of your parent's national IDs and passports (if available). Learnt the hard way, but finally passed after presenting the required documents.

In the middle of the registration process, i lost my original National ID and am soon going for the appointment date that i booked.
Can my duplicate ID work for me and it's photocopies or it's a must to surface with the original one?
You may need to visit NIRA to get a support letter from them. Best to confirm from them; but if you are going soon, go and see what they tell you to do.
Is it a must to be interviewed because I was not interviewed but rather given a pink slip and told to wait for the message to pick up my passport when ready

I don’t what they interview I was surprised to be asked if am munyarwanda? Which I answered if Am munyarwanda why am I renewing my passport? Which the fellow said because I look like them? I told him to look at my mothers names and pointed to him that abambejja some tend to look like the Banyarwada that is why I look like them.
What if you failed the interview and send you to bring your parents would they charge you again

I am happy to help. You do not need to worry, it is so simple. People are so many, so, they don't have that much time for details. Actually, some are not even asked.
Which means if I fail the interview,I won't get passport
They tell you to either bring your dad .... bcoz the interview is about your tribe and back ground especially father's side since yo body is taken back to your father's village

I have a question, after the inter view you are given a receipt, do you just go after getting out of the interview room or take that receipt another desk for filling out.
You go home with the receipt. That receipt has an INT number. When you call to ask about the progress of your passport, they will ask you that number. Once you read it to them, they check for you:) Just keep that receipt safe and take a picture of it if you can, just in case.

Hello dear, never worry, call them and ask them about it. Do you have their phone number? I made a video showing you the number and how to contact them. Let me know if you fail to find it.

Annet if I filled my profession section while applying for my passport..I selected OTHERS . This means I don't need to take any documents for supporting profession as it is stated in instructions on the appointment letter?
U are interviewed by your tribemate , thats why u must make research about your own back ground

Hello sweety, express takes 1-2 weeks. If it reaches 6th July without hearing from them, then you can call to check the progress of your passport.

Hello dear. It really depends. For me, I did my interview on 18th of May but I have not gotten it yet. Well, I was ordinary. My friend who had the same appointment day got hers on 10th June coz she applied for express. In May, they were having some issues with passport production, but they are now fully functioning so it will be quicker, I guess.
