I am totally speechless. This build is amazing. Your attention to detail is phenomenal. If EA do not ask you to do a build for a future pack then there is no justice in the sims building community.

I don’t think her building for EA would do her justice. You can’t use moveobjects, can’t use TOOL and are limited to the number of items you can place on a lot. Don’t get me wrong it would still be amazing I’m sure but I’d hate to see her restricted it’s what I love about her builds, she goes all out!

I love this farm! To me it made sense that they included goats and sheep in Horse Ranch since irl ranches typically include goats and sheep to go with their cattle as widespread grazers!
Nah, they should have been with the country pack with the cows and chickens as they are FARM animals.

I was giggling while you were venting how you struggled to remember the word "stable" and started calling it "Horse house" in the last episode lol but honestly, I'm so so impressed at this build! The first ranch one was fabulous, but this one really takes the cake. I can't even imagine how further you would go if you had more space to build. Beautiful as always!
I feel you on the 64x64 not being big enough sometimes. It’s usually way too big but there are some special circumstances like a farm or the high school or wanting to create a “street” or neighborhood that makes me want like a 100x100 haha
it's moments like that which make me miss the sims 2 and 3 custom lot placement! Here's hoping for sims 5!
Barns/ Stables do actually have quite a lot of things inside them. Just usually in designated areas. Like there's usually a feed room where grains, hay, buckets, supplements, and medication are stored, but sometimes hay is stored in a different axillary area. Then there's usually a tack room where saddles, bridles, saddle pads, harnesses, and any other item that can clothe an equine are stored. Tack rooms can also have sort of locker or cubbies for personal storage if the horses that live in the stable don't belong to the person that runs the farm for things like personal grooming supplies, and usually the riders helmet and riding boots. There's also usually a fairly large area in the barn for tying the horses for care like grooming, washing, and tacking up. (I'm actually kind of sad we didn't get hitching posts like we had in the sims 3, it really kinda takes me out of the game to know my horses literally just run around and leave the property willy nilly.) There's also the horses sleeping area with the stalls and bedding inside which does take up a large amount of room because of the sheer size of normal horses. And there's usually an area where grounds keeping items are kept like wheelbarrows, pitchforks, and new bedding for the stalls, and then an area to put compost from the horse waste (which I'm also kinda disappointed we didn't get a compost pile for horse waste instead of throwing it in the trash from the beds.) There never appears to be too much in the areas where horses actually stay because horses tend to hurt themselves or get into things they aren't supposed to if there's a lot of clutter around them. Many large boarding stables have air-conditioning in most indoor areas or a lot of fans that are often mounted in the stalls above the horses so they can stay cool too, and many larger places have heated water so a lot of barns have utility rooms that are combined in the restrooms often where laundry can be done too since horses do in real life accumulate quite a bit of dirty saddle pads, girths, blankets, or wraps if people use them. Many boarding stables also include and office where the staff can take a break/ eat, manage the farm financially, schedule lessons, organize events, greet new clients, and usually put all their awards.
This comment was way too long but as a horse person I am in this environment almost daily, but I understand the perspective of seeing barns as pretty empty spaces. But really a lot of items and specialized areas go into a running stable that are used pretty much daily. And this is only like things that usually exist inside stables/barns, some people like myself don't actually keep their horse indoors in a stable but rather let them live outside 24/7 with options for covered shelter. But I still use areas like tying spots, tack rooms, feed rooms and the rest.
This is perfect, I've been wanting something like this but I could never build it as beautifully as you did!
the amount of attention to detail is insane this must've taken u at least a week to build! I know I'd never reach this level of attention to detail amazing work!

I used to binge watch a lovely British landscaping show, and the biggest thing I remember was to think of sections of the exterior the same way you would an interior, with separate "rooms" and "hallways" connecting them. It's helped me out a lot!
honestly i feel so represented by your sheer passion for this pack because these days everyone seems to be overly critical of whatever EA does and it gets tiring at times. i do too believe is one of the best ones to this date :)
I so agree!!! I love the idea of ranches and all that stuff getting added to the game! I love this aesthetic and the aspects of owning a farm etc… While I understand where those people are coming from, I still think this was a nice addition!

Yet another gorgeous build, Jess! I totally agree about needing beds for the goats and sheep. Mine seem to sleep in the horse stables either near or on the horse's bed. So cute!

I have my goats and sheep locked in a pen , just lock the gates for sheep and goats 🤣🥲 and they sleep on the horsebeds. Your building is amazing you give me so many ideas🤗

this is such a beautiful build😲 I have a fenced off section for my sheep and goats that I’ve locked the gate to for those specific animals. I know they don’t have a bed but it stops them wondering around all over the place and I always know where they are! I also gave them a lil shelter thing with the hay mats to make it look like they have a hay bed kinda thing🙃

This is the first thing I did with the new pack. Just made a huge homestead with every animal we have in the game (I didn't add cats to the household but I made it a cat hangout but other than that I included everything). I also made a huge garden with lots of different crops and trees.
This is basically my real life dream, just my own homestead with a huge garden and chicken, goats and horses. I'm obsessed. Also yes I have an infant in that family. So far it's worked great. I have 16 chicken, 16 goats and sheep, four horses, a dog two lamas, two cows, a crap ton of rabbits, foxes, birds and cats on the lot, and one adult and one infant. I'm planning on having another kid once this one grows up. I have a ranch hand and he's a life saver.

Love this build so much. I am COMPLETLY new to Sims, and I am already hooked here 3 days into getting the base game. However now, I have the massive dicision to make, witch pack should I start getting. There is soo many (like a loooot) and I am soo in doubt what direction I want to try first, but videos like this helps so much, even though could never make this level of build, I see I have a lot of tricks to learn, so right now I am taking inspiration from you and other Sim TH-camrs (so thank you for YOU)

Maybe you could build a little stable for sheeps and goats, fence it in, place sheeps and goats in the fence and then lock the door for them? If thats a possibility?

You can always lock the goats or sheep in a gate! I made a little makeshift house shed for them with the fence so it kinda makes a house for them!

Just wanted to drop the funfact that the minisheep and goats are not as random as they seem to be. Some horses have companion animals which are usually goats (i am not too sure about sheep) They are both herd animals and actually bond quickly because of that. :)

I've been watching loads of your video's and you're one of the best builders out there, always so cool to see your creative solutions and everything!! Did you ever do a tutorial video (or can you recommend one) where you explain most of the special things you use, like that pink water bottle, the red shelf, the tool extender, all those things? I'm mostly confused about that bottle haha, so would really appreciate it! Keep up the amazing builds!!
Pink water bottle trick is to auto fill the clutter spots on surfaces so I can freely clutter!

I love watching your builds - so creative! Can I ask what the purpose of putting the drink bottles down first on tables etc where you are adding clutter, then delete them?

The big towers you put in the back corner usually hold water. :) They’re called water towers. The slightly smaller ones would usually hold grain I think!

You can create a fence area and lock the gate for the sheep and goats then place them in that area.

I found a hack for horse ranch! Set up a nursery in the barn. I have a fenced off corner of pasture with the horse play house inflatable and other toys.
It's amazing, I just gotta figure out how to add a pool

I would be interested in your thought process in creating the base building structure. It looks like you just put random rectangles together and then put roofs on top of those and figure out the interior layout later. Is it like that or do you have some other process, that is just not visible in the video?

So if you lose your sheep/goats go to the friendship panel and hit focus camera on sim and you can find your goats and sheep that way 😊

Your builds are amazing. Can I put in a request..I am okay for building but I could use a little help at making it looking “normal” on the outside. Using MCC I’m going to have a family including 2 horses and 2 dogs and a cat but that puts me at a total of 21 members. I am looking for a farmhouse with at least 12 rooms and 4 Bathrooms. Kinda a challenge build.
Your soft shadow effect looks so lovely for building, but does it negatively affect your gameplay? Do the shadows get in the way at all?
For me personally, not at all i love having the shadow effects!
