- The Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government tabled an anti-rape bill in the state Assembly on Tuesday. The bill seeks to bring amendments to central laws dealing with offences of rape, gang-rape, and sexual assault.
Titled Aparajita Woman and Child (West Bengal Criminal Laws and Amendment) Bill 2024, the proposed amendments include punishing offences of rape and gang-rape with life in prison or death. The bill also provides for the death penalty for persons convicted of rape if their actions result in the victim's death or leave her in a vegetative state.

Do you know there is a rule " first come first rule". As per TOI report from 2017 to 2022, 1551 rape/gangrape followed by murder, UP 280,MP 207,Assam 205 , Maharashtra 155, Karnataka 79 cases registered. Are all those CMs resigned earlier? If they showed right path,then other follows. First ask them to resign since those happened in last 5 years. It doesn't mean I support the brutal rape happened in Calcutta. If these rapes held non bjp states ,they called as Papi. If same incidents happened in BJP states , they are called as " pavitra Papi". What a statement.

For not recommended president rule through his governers of UP, Uttarakhand,MP,Bihar Rajasthan, Maharashtra where rape and gangrape,murder of minor dalit girls equally henious rapes just like Calcutta and in some cases more brutal one like Muzaffarpur which was not prominently reported by national media since the victim belongs to dalit.

My question is when The incident happened In UP, where two dalit girls " subsided" . This the first comment of the police without investigation. After one day the police had said it is an abetted suside
When the father has narrated about what he saw on the body and wants to proper investigation ,no assurance from the police. They didn't allow the father to accompany the body the police have removed all evidence. Why there were " small Khanta" on the bodies of girls. They must have raped somewhere in the bushes. But police showed as suside since it happened after henious crime at Calcutta. It is habitual of each and every ruling party to twist the incident in other way. My question is when these kind of barbaric incidents happened in other states why we are closing our eyes? Why can't agitate at par with Calcutta'?. It is now become a fashion for every political party to close their eyes if rapes held in their state and visit opposition ruled and victim's family. Don't be impartial.,@@nandadulaldas1991
