    Do u have some kind of barrier cloth between the rocks and the sand ? .. did u run into any issues with drainage?

    Does the sand get enough oxygen and does it produce gnets because of the 4 inch depth of the sand I did something similar with 3 inches but never got the time to try it with a deeper system.

      Yes the system is working and the beds are getting enough oxygen. Plants grow faster and greener in sand beds. The only issue is algae growth. I had Gnat infestation but was able to control with aggressive use of yellow sticky traps as well as covering the exposed areas with reflective foil . Thanks for commenting

    get rid of the mint unless u like it alot. because it will take over the entire grow bed... looking good though>>>!!
