Great video!!!!! Very, very helpful and educational!!!!🤙🏼🏆🙏🏼 I am very grateful to you!! Thank you for helping me out. By the way, your garden is a great influence!!! My wife is amazed to see how organized it is.🤙🏼 We have 12 aces in the Redlands, (South Florida) full of different fruit trees. All we needed was your wisdom😃
Don't follow my finger. LOL!! This is perfect example!! People are like the bended tail of a dog. They learn one way and no matter how many years of training the tail, the tail remains bended. I agree with you 100%...find the way which work for you. Make experiments and learn from them. What is good for the lion is not always good for the den of lions.
I am watching videos on TH-cam specially regarding grafting , and I done it practically but it fail, but I didn't give up , I want to do till I success, I like your video.
I use two small nails to secure the graft to the cambium layer, on at the top and one at the bottom. Then I seal it all up with Tree Wound. No grafting tape is needed. This is nearly a fool proof method.
We harvested neelum early (June-July) and late (now). The early ones were very mediocre, and the mid August ones following the same protocol as Mallika were excellent, deep taste with a zing.
The mango leaves are very nice and beautifully looking without any burn or spots on them. What spray you are using sir? My plant leaves are not that much shiny and beautiful. Please guide me.
I’m not sure i understand what spray you mean. I don’t spray my mangoes with anything; at some point i sprayed trichoderma on flowers that are susceptible to antrachnose which made the tree hold fruitlets much better. No spray on the leaves.
Good channel. My question is: Can we use grafting wax to seal scion prior to using parafilm tape? The major issue in south Florida is rain and humidity which causes water intrusion after grafting which kills the scions. Please respond. Thanks!
@sandycay4085 good question, thank you. Rain intrusion is the biggest problem in South Florida. The reason it is not talked about as much is because more than 90% grafters use the top cleft method of grafting and this problem rarely happens in that method if buddy tape is applied to the union moving from up to down. In side graft it always will happen in rainy season if measures are not taken. I have used tree wound seal, grafting wax, a plastic hood to just cover the scion with some success but water always enters. You can apply wax after you secure the union, and put parafilm over it. Another option is to cut the part of the rootstock above the union so a bigger plastic bag can be put over the entire branch extending down below the union.
I have a video called “my 8 most productive and disease resistant mangos”, these are some of my favorite varieties, you can find it through channel search
First time watcher I have several seedlings from hass avocadoes that I would like to graft and I see you show the grafting on the mango trees which are already grown. But I would like to know which type of scion do you recommend grafting into the seedlings for my hass avocado and or mango seedlings and or do you have any videos on grafting into seedlings wether is avocado or mango.and also thank you for the info.
Thank you for watching. The grafting process is the same. It is much easier with seedlings. You can find the scion of same diameter as your seedling trunk. Green wood on green wood. And try to protect the graft from wind and rain, perhaps a plastic cover over the whole plant after you graft. Also you can prune some of the top portion of the seedling over the grafted area so it is easy to cover with a plastic bag. Please ask if you didn’t understand anywhere.
Thank you will be subscribing and thank you for the Hinduism teaching into the connection between the body and air and surroundings in our souls and nature it is enlightenment to have someone who understand the connection between the plants and how we live united with nature as I do believe everything natural should go into the plants we grow thank and I appreciate very much what you do to maintain that balance.
Grafting of guava is same technique but always please try to check if it is vegetative growth time for the guava tree. It is better not to graft when the tree is trying to flower. Best for both guava and persimmon is to graft when the trees are waking up from dormancy.
I have been trying to graft avocado with little success but the process looks very similar. Do you graft avocado and use the same techniques on them? If so, I learned a lot today?
Thank you. Grafting avocados has been a but different experience for me. I have had many failures simply by choosing a wrong season for grafting or when rootstock seemed unhealthy. But same technique works.
I tried grafting in the month of January to March when the buds started swelling but my grafts did not take off. Though the weather in the day time is worm but in the night is quite cold which I suppose is the main cause of failure. Could you let me know the best time of grafting.
Depends, which tree are you referring to? Avocados can be grafted in Jan, Feb, March. Mangos not a good idea because the trees are in flowering/fruiting mode rather than vegetative growth. Other fruit trees differ so it depends. And climate/location also is important subtropics vs temperate climate, please specify which location and what tree you are grafting.
I am leaving them on the tree. If in future i have a seedling mango growing in a pot i can use these scions of the different varieties i grafted to this mother tree.
You can graft now in August as long as the plant is protected from sun, like in a pot in the patio. Otherwise December/January is best for grafting them here in south FL.
we learn and develop our grafting skills through experience.
Was about to go learn how to graft today, thanks for the perfect timing :)
Good luck with your studies!

Enjoyed the video , please keep posting. Can you make one about neelum, taste and picking time. Thanks

Thank you!!! 🙇🏽♂️
I like your video. can you make video to show and tell the grafting of jack fruit? Thanks
Will do when i have one to graft
Thanks
Thank you
Very informative. Need some mango scions from Thailand?
Thank you. Currently we don’t need any mango scions from Thailand, thanks for offering.

Hi Satya. Would you leave the grafting on the same mother tree Or cut it and plant it again?
I am leaving them on the tree. If in future i have a seedling mango growing in a pot i can use these scions of the different varieties i grafted to this mother tree.
Do you have to care for the wound on the tree if the graft fails?
They usually self heal
Cut the branch just below the grafting wound and apply fungicide paste.
What part of Florida do you live in?
South
@@growpuravida I live in Miami, is this a good time to graft an avocado tree?
