We are so excited to have collaborated with the worldwide dance brand 'CAPEZIO' on this video. They sent us 2 pairs of their newest Tap and practice shoes as well as the new studio collection jogger set to try out! @CapezioDance

Not only do we talk about and review the new gear they sent us, but we show you a little insight into our choreography process behind creating one of our viral dance videos!

I'm USA. As a 7-8 year old in '61 we tap danced at a major performance auditorium in Sacramento, California, USA. I of course love watching you guys. Love the sound . Of course I would. At 67 I throw corn flour on my floor and dance everyday just for the hell of it. YOU GUYS ARE FABULOUS!!

Exactly. I’m 68 years old, tapped at recitals in Pennsylvania in the 60’s when I was quite young!
Doesn’t matter one’s heritage, you can’t help but admire the Gardiner Brothers - their talent is nuclear, the love they have for each other is obvious and they exude joy which is an inner thing. They have it and share it. I can watch them dance for hours! Love that #Capezio sent them a package. Well deserved…only ballet shoes I’ve ever worn! Bravo on all counts!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽❤️❤️❤️
I could watch these young men for hours. So talented. They are amazing.
The Capezio split-sole jazz shoes are the best as they really allow you to articulate your foot due to having no centre sole section. They couple support with great flexibility.
The _"strange-looking thing"_ at 4:27 needs to be cut to size to fit the the sole space behind your front tap. It'll stop you wearing through your soles in 5 minutes, stop the balls of your feet absorbing so much shock, and also stop you sliding across the stage! Your cobbler will cut and glue them for you.
Remember to loosen your screws on your Capezio baffle plates, you'll get a much looser/better tap sound. Happy Tapping! 🤗

One year, about halfway to the city for a dance competition… my daughter realized that she forgot her tap shoes at home. (An hour away at this point)
With no time to turn around, I was fortunate enough to know of a small dance store near our destination.
We were in the parking lot well before opening, and I will be forever grateful that the employees let us in when they arrived before officially opening.
I was in no position to haggle over pricing or options, I told my daughter to point out whatever pair looked like the best match to the shoes the studio had ordered.
That was a pair of split sole tap shoes (possibly capezio🤔) that were easily 3 times the price of the shoes at home.
Even being brand new, and not yet “broken in” … my young daughter fell in love with those shoes!
Her junior company routine scored better than senior company that year as well 😉

It actually makes me wonder what your warm up routine is like. Is there such a thing as an Irish Dance barre? Stretching? Pilates? Gym?

Just like on a piano or other instrument, when you mess up do NOT go back to the beginning--STOP, right there and START, right there at the mistake. These guys are professional, they KNOW!

Besides, the T tops and the nice pants for practice!! I had worn Capezio shoes years ago, when I was a girl, taking ballet, tap dance, and toe/on point!!! Tap shoes may have been the only Capezio?! My Moms dance instructor was Mrs. Capezio in the 1930’s in LA. My mom did tap and ballet. .. and it just dawned on me that Matthew is the spitting image of George Harrison - love to hear some Beatles with your dancing too… Crackerbox Palace comes to mind. ❤

Capezio’s are AWSOME! I was a ballet dancer for many years and always had Capizio pointe toe slippers and regular ballet slippers.

It is too bad River dance doesn't value you as much as Capezio does. Very nice gear from them. Pretty low grade hotel room from River dance. You two are amazing and the stars of the show.

Some fun facts.
My maternal great grandmother's family Morrish came out to settle in idyllic northern NSW as Selectors, from Ireland in the 1870s, or something like that.
My maternal grandfathers side, Hilliers, came out as convicts , but later settled in Yass NSW I think.

First, I’ve been watching your videos for ages, and though I’m from the States, had the joy of living in Galway for a year. Your accents are so much lighter than I was expecting.
Second, I had one kid that competed in the usual US studio types of dances, and the other was a dancer at Maguire Academy of Irish Dance (of Darren Maguire, Riverdance well before you.), so Capezio got a lot of our money. Love those split soul practice shoes. We never did give those a try, but they look brilliant.
I’m curious if you can go up on your toes the same in the tap shoes?

Trying to get into Irish clogging and only have a background in tapping (mostly theatre tap). I’m so glad they made this video. I was wondering if I could use my tap shoes to start with. I actually have the Capezio Flex Tap, so mine do bend in the middle. Love Capezio!

I've owned a pair of the "practice" shoes. I do West Coast Swing (WCS), and we called them dance sneakers. I now own a pair made with brushed leather on the bottom, which are more like a normal pair of ballroom/WCS/Country dance shoe, but they're more comfortable.

As a clog dancer in my youth, I was always excited about capizios. I finally got a pair as an adult with a set of Steven Stomper taps. Clogging taps are different as they include an extra piece of metal.

I danced 30 years ago in Capezio. Many types, including taps. You could run down the street in a dead run in 1.5 inch heals and heels didn't break!

I could watch them tap dance all day and when they do the routine to Tulsa it is wonderful and I have played it on and off all day long, too. Are the brothers, or twins? One has a deeper voice than the other. Keep it up boys, you keep tap dancing alive to us. We love you.
