You can factor in my reviews but they are from my perspective to the way i work.
When buying an ebike figure out what you need the ebike to perform. Test ride various models and see which one suits you.
Different people expect different things. Some want long battery. Some want foldability, etc.

I don’t recommend getting the Ultra if i were you, unless you know how to change the tyres to thicker ones like 2.125 or 2.5
The default tyres it uses (16 by 1.75) is easy to skid especially in wet conditions

@@grabadventures I am going crazy after quitting delivery. My work is primarily WFH. After work, I used to go out for delivery. Now feel like something is amiss. Have to close eyes about the delivery fees and start again. Four wheels move a body, two "small" wheels move a soul 😄😄

I know exactly how you feel! I used to be very hardcore everyday during lockdown. After things normalize I slow down a bit.

I would love to. But the test models are only available at Mobot. Hard to get permission from them.

Bro, X20 is still the more stylo ebike.
Design wise X20 has a distinctive design. X16 is a lot like other 16" foldable ebikes. But the enhancements on this which is not found on other 16" ebikes is intriguing though.
So sorry for not putting Roller With Lock as the dedault part. It cost S$6 to purchase as accessory.

Companies need to turn a profit. Consumers can feedback. If the product is right people will show their appreciation by purchasing it. If they don't they will just ignore it.
@user-ps1zz1qn6g It's due to EN15194 test, may not pass the extreme mechanical test if put it on. So, due to an optional accessory while bike failed is not worth.

Thx for the watching and the comment. I tell you the suspension system is a revelation. Once I rode the x20 and x16, i started noticing how bumpy rides felt on ebikes with no suspension.
I thinking of getting the X20 and keep my Kol Maxx plus as well. @GA, is the X20 battery same as Kol Maxx? From the video looks like but I can’t confirm. Will be good if both bikes battery are interchangeable.
Only the kol max plus 48v 14.4ah battery can be used in the x20 amd x16. The 12.8ah battery on the older kol max cannot be used.
Oh ya, as for your ride experience, do you feel any riding difference between KoL max plus pneumatic rims and X20 sports rims?
Any idea when is X20 coming out and roughly when the stock will reach Ekolife?
I wonder what keeps these manufacturers to make more e-bikes models. Surely it has to reach at some point that the majority of food delivery riders already owns an e-bike and i don’t think upgrading is very common because of cost issues unless you totally broke your previous one.
And what is the proportion of new delivery riders joining and thinking of buying an e-bike? I think most people know that the fares has been reduced already, what you earn can easily be earned by doing retail or F&B instead.
I do see a spotlight in the commuting/leisure sector though. If COE prices stays high, more people will find other alternatives to get to where they need to go, and using e-bikes could be an option. I’m seeing more people use e-bikes on a non food delivery usage basis. I think the Alps e-bike you reviewed is a good example but the price is too high haha.
One other issue i would like to addon to your commentary is that sg market is very small, highly regulated. Ebikes here currently a niche market almost exclusively dependent on the delivery riders.
In order to grow the market, I don't think catering to social cyclists will be of use. Bicycles will be the preferred choice.
But if sg allows the import of higher capacity with powerful motors in another licencing category then ebikes might take off in the extreme sports category where the people who buy them are affluent enough to spend lots of money on their ebikes.

Glad u like my assessment. Regard the magnet as it's a new model I honestly don't know. I think asclong as keep it clean it should last? But can only confirm once riders start using it.

Sorry bro. I don't quite understand yr question 😅 . Are u referring to the jimove or kol max battery? The jimove battery cannot be used. Only maximalsg 48v 14.4AH battery can be used in the x20 and x16. Both model batteries are flexible batteries so can interchange between them.

I am not sure. Maybe you can check with ekolife or maximalsg. But i believe if you purchase it as a bundle it will be cheaper rather than buy an extra battery seperately later on.
Hi, I just checked with Ekolife last week, the 14.4ah for Kol Maxx plus cost $520. My previous quote from Maximal is $400+ because I bought my Kol Maxx plus directly from them so I can get cheaper.
Let me check and I will drop the reply here once i get the answer. I think there is a certain period after you purchase the ebike whereby you can still buy an extra battery at a discounted rate. Let me verify.

Been watching yr videos for quite awhile now. Nice job bro. 16 features are nice. But why the tyre rear and front different size? 🤔
Does it make a difference when riding?
What I understand is that the load at the rear carries 70% of the weight, hence the rear tyres are wider to give a more comfortable ride. The front tyres are slimmer so that the ebike is energy efficient.
Wider tyres tend to use more energy. So it's a balance between the two.

U know what, I hate this review.. why u make it up until so excellent that all the necessary features are included in this x16. Like the roller wheels, magnetic clamp, suspension, thick tyre, foldable, racks, mudguard, horn, ... this is the most imclusive ebike that focus on the actual needs, comfort and safety for the user. I just got a new spare battery and this ebike comes out.. 😂😂😂

Morning bro. That is one way. But i have yet to do a complete drain of the battery. If you watched my latest few videos. You will see that after 5 hours of use there is usually 80% battery power left.
But then a lot depends on the terrain and how the rider uses the speed.
I got the extra 9.6ah battery as a backup to bring along with me but ended up never using it. So nowadays i no longer bring a spare battery.

@AaAaa-cp7pn a lot depends on how the rider uses it. For myself personally i only use mode 1 & 2. Mode 3 i only use on steep hills. So far maximum i have gone is 80+ km with 40% power left.

@AaAaa-cp7pn mode 2 i am able to hit 24km/hr which is the legal limit. Anything faster, have to mod already 😃
The suspension is horrible. The 3 inch fat tire from mc pro or orca is better at cushioning bumps.
can change the front tire to 2.5" ?

@5kplamse so far so good. It's very comfortable to ride. Plus the compact fold size makes it easy to bring on trains. Only issue i faced was when turning the pedals tend to touch the ground if i lean too much. But i got used to it and i hardly lean the ebike to one side now when turning.

Every ebike has it's pros and cons. It depends on individual rider how comfortable they are with it. Which why test riding the ebikes yourself is very important.
It's a matter of what you prefer and what works for you 😉
