    This special visit of A. Lange & Söhne was for sure a fantastic experience and we are very happy to share this rather long video with you. At first, we thought to produce something shorter, but there were so many things to see and the discussion with Anthony de Haas, Product Development Director of the brand was simply impossible to cut!!!
    Enjoy

    Breathtaking. Now I understand why a Lange watch can't be cheap. The watchmakers and artisans combine challenge and pleasure into the workspace. Without the pleasure of achieving these complicated tasks there could not be anybody to do this work every day. These people must be very proud to work here and produce these time pieces. I loved this video. Thanks.

    Own three Langes myself (Lange 1 Soiree, 1815 Chronograph and Datograph (1st gen in platinum), and to say that I'm a fanboy would be a huge understatement: I had the privilege of experiencing the factory tour myself, and what I saw there exceeded my wildest expectations: the passion and dedication of all Lange employees, and the extreme focus on detail is something I have never witnessed before with any other company in any industry. Thanks for posting this amazing video, big ups from Amsterdam !

      As soon as he said that I thought, ‘that’s not very American’ lol an American company would never accept that sort of thinking. What I love about this guy is, that he doesn't go with all the stupid marketing language. He is open to say things like "This is is not quite as intelligent as the other one" or "We looked and couldn't find a way, so we did it this way". Honesty is way more attractive than a fake demonstration of Tim Cook.

    This video popped up on my 'suggested list'. Didn't understand one pixel of the technical explanations that were being given so lovingly and expertly. Yet, was totally mesmerised by the conversation... it was riveting... so much so that I watched the whole video... and have a completely new appreciation for the phenomenal skills of their watchmakers, engravers and all others to make what are actually works of art that also function as a watch... Perhaps the BEST watch video I've seen on TH-cam... Thank you SO MUCH...

    Maybe I'm easily amused, but my mind was blown at that tiny section of dial that appears only when it's needed. They could've skipped that and saved a ton of work, time, parts, etc., but it's Lange, so there it is.

Really makes you appreciate their attention to detail/precision and beauty even more when you get to see all of the fine craftsman creating their art on camera, very very cool. I also love how a visitor can take of his watch and they know which one in the shop engraved it. That’s really neat. Once again, great show.

    What a wonderful video, it is so exceptional to see this factory and get such detailed and fun explanations. Congratulations, this is top quality watch reporting. This video just sums up why we love watches and why they are such fascinating objects...Ce format de vidéo long est rare, mais tellement appréciable, surtout ne coupez rien au montage, ça aurait été dommage !

    I like their calm, slightly referencing the Hapsburg Empire days of yore esthetic. It’s congruous with a mechanical watch.

    Easily the best watchmaker company in the world. AP, PP or VC has got nothing on A.Lange & Sohne. They make beautiful and most complicated timepieces yet very understated which is why they stand out as the best along with PP.

    • @irishceallaigh
      @irishceallaigh 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      But they are not Patek nor will they ever be! 1839 induction ,since 1939, family owned. Who owns lange? Could it be a company that owns 20 other brands as well? Most records for timepieces at all auctions? When you can say continuous business since 1839 and NOT 1995 corporate owned . Then you can mouth off. until then. SSSHHHHH!!! Patek Philippe IS Horology!! And VC is right behind them!

      @@irishceallaigh Here comes the Swiss fanboy. Why can't we just appreciate both Lange and Patek for the masterpieces they are? While we're at it, why not appreciate JLC, FP Journe and Vacheron? They are all behemoths in the watch world. However, I don't like AP. They are a one watch wonder with no true passion for watchmaking. You might disagree with me, but even THE Philippe Dufour agrees with me.

    Lange & Sohne is the Ultimate watch for the real collectionists. You are a collezionista & specialist, and a special person to want one and wear one, and buy one. Because you know something more than the rest of the world. Its not the brand, its the exclusive club you enter into. its not Ferrari, not Bugatti, not Lamborghini, its more Aston Martin but its much much more...you are now a real exclusive club in your own right. On your own.

    Magnifique vidéo! Comme toujours, votre chaîne reste, encore et toujours, la meilleure en terme de qualité journalistique, vous ne vous contentez clairement pas simplement de lire les communiqués de presse!
    La qualité de leurs montres dépassent largement les préjugés (infondé) que le Suisse que je suis pouvait avoir. Mon étonnement encore plus grand se situe dans le fait qu'ALS a réussi a transcender l'aspect purement ingénierique pour créer une véritable identité esthétique allemande propre à la marque. Je sens, personnellement, qu'ils ont pris une avance non négligeable sur leurs collègues suisses en ce qui concerne le rapport "qualité mécanique/finissions/prix" de leurs montres, où la compétition Helvète se repose sur une valeur ajoutée? Trêve de commérage, merci encore pour cet aperçu des ateliers allemands!
