Yes, I think so... the Chant was written to bring out the natural emotion and meaning of the words (rather than the other way around in classical/modern music). Just a beautiful and simple prayer without all the frills. God Bless

I’m now 75 and still remember all the beautiful Latin hymns and chants from those days. I have this on my iTunes sung by a Scottish priest from way back, named Sydney McEwan, and it’s worth listening to. He sang with perfect diction and clarity. It’s on TH-cam as well. 🙏🏻 Regards from Scotland!
