This reveals the basic danger to all denominations and to all organized churches, which all have _fallible men_ at the helm: the fallible leaders, in their hubris, are tempted to act as dictators, when they should instead accept correction and gently & prayerfully guide their people, as faithful shepherds of Christ should do. Amazing that SENIOR members of almost all churches for years protected pdfiles and other offenders yet plays politics with a man teaching people the right way to worship God. It was listening to videos of Mar Mari that got me back my relationship with God. I had stopped being religious as priests/bishops showed how hypocritical they were and could not satisfactorily answer my questions except to say you must follow what the church preaches. When I stated I follow what Jesus preached not what the church preaches they threatened to excommunicate me. I do not know if the Bishop carried out the threat and do not care as to me, he and his church are not representatives of Jesus/God as they fail to follow scripture and show true Christian Charity and Values. I do not know the politics of the Church but am sure Jesus and God do not approve. Even I can see they have not followed due process in their move against Mar Mari. Canons of the church are liable to change because they are disciplinary in nature. If the current canons of the church teaches you something, you submit to the discipline. I do not speak for Mar Maris old church, but he disagrees with the apostolic church he hails from, he should call himself non-denominational. That is my opinion.

It comes down to this: the decisions of the head of the Far East church count for more than either Holy Scripture or tradition. If a person wants to be a clergyman in a church denomination (whether that one, or EO, or Roman Catholic Church, or whatever), he is required to be in submission to his leadership. If he wanted to be in the church of the Far East, he needed to bend the neck and the knee to the church's leader. But of course, true Christianity calls each person to follow Jesus Christ as his Head and to obey his consciences as he believes the Holy Spirit is guiding him.
This reveals the basic danger to all denominations and to all organized churches, which all have _fallible men_ at the helm: the fallible leaders, in their hubris, are tempted to act as dictators, when they should instead accept correction and gently & prayerfully guide their people, as faithful shepherds of Christ should do. The head of this Far East church made mountains out of molehills and wrongly limited Mar Mari, even though none of the issues were of serious doctrinal importance. Amazing that SENIOR members of almost all churches for years protected pdfiles and other offenders yet plays politics with a man teaching people the right way to worship God. It was listening to videos of Mar Mari that got me back my relationship with God. I had stopped being religious as priests/bishops showed how hypocritical they were and could not satisfactorily answer my questions except to say you must follow what the church preaches. When I stated I follow what Jesus preached not what the church preaches they threatened to excommunicate me. I do not know if the Bishop carried out the threat and do not care as to me, he and his church are not representatives of Jesus/God as they fail to follow scripture and show true Christian Charity and Values.
I do not know the politics of the Church but am sure Jesus and God do not approve. Even I can see they have not followed due process in their move against Mar Mari. It reminds one of the Spanish Inquisitions the Church once forced on the faithful simply because a man of the cloth made an accusation against someone. Jesus healed the sick and raised the dead back to life. Jesus claimed to have the power to forgive sins... a power which only the Creator possesses.

Mankind was lost in sin and separated from the Creator. The Creator came to earth and incarnated as a man, being born to a virgin, so He could bear man's penalty for sin by his death on the cross. Then He rose from the dead in triumph over the grave, proving Himself to be God incarnate.
Allah is great. But the true Creator, I AM, is greater; He is so great, He cannot be contained in a single Person but is instead Three Persons, One God. If Jesus were merely a good man and a prophet of the Creator, how could He forgive men's sins, promise to raise them to everlasting life, and rise from the tomb? If Jesus were just a prophet, wouldn't it have been blasphemy to identify Himself with the Creator and to call the Creator "Father" with such familiarity?

Unless you trust in Jesus for your forgiveness of your many sins, when you die you will be judged guilty. I care about what happens to you. I do not want you to suffer in separation from the Creator for eternity. Please look carefully and prayerfully at who Jesus is and the claims He made. If His claims are true, then He must be the One in whom you need to trust for your salvation. If His claims are false, then He was no prophet of the Creator, and the Quran's claim (that Jesus was a true prophet) is thereby proven false.
