I have just ordered one from Amazon USA to add one to my collection of watches I have a few Casio watches including g shocks but Casio always seems to make the lower priced watches look good living in the U.K. we don’t get the same Casio watches has you guys in 🇺🇸
This is a nice blend visual intrigue and function! I kind of like it! The buttons being shrouded is much better than on the 5600/5700 line. I can live with it! Ten year battery is good! The amber light is awesome too! If that little dial was a compass they would probably sell it as a Protrek! Definitely a winner! Take care and have a great day Bro!
You’re right about the buttons. I’ll take these over the 5610u any day. I hear SA elections are raising some levels of concern…as reported by the media of course. Hope calm is the focus as the election happens. Take care and be well my brother.
@@Realidealgear Yeah. Its violent and corrupt every time. This time it feels more critical due to the severity of our nations current state...Either way, God is in control! Take care bro and have a fantastic day! 👌👌
I like this watch, and might even pick it up if it goes on ultra sales. That is because I have its predecessor, the WS-1500H that is essentially this module in a case more like the AE-1500H, meaning it’s round, wider and taller. Display area is also larger meaning the WS-1500 is even more legible than the 1700. The only difference is that mine is a fishing gear watch, meaning it supposedly shows when there’s fish in the water. However that is just an educated guess by the watch because it takes into account longitude, time, date and moon data to give its guess. Otherwise all features are the same. Glad to see yours is displaying dual time correctly. In mine the firmware is wrong and the dual time displays the hours from 1-12 or 0-11 with no indication of am or pm if I’m using that format in main time display. If I’m using military time in the main, the dual time will only allow from 0-11 in the am or 1-12 in the pm. Anyways, as the segmented display in this one didn’t bother you, and you didn’t mind the size and bulk of the AE-1500, maybe you’ll like the WS-1500 which is a combination of the pros and cons of both AE-1500 and WS-1700. BTW, did you not get stuck in between holes as per usual? Sorry, couldn’t resist LOL. Anyway great look at this watch, thanks.
I don’t know what to think about this one. It’s a good watch, but I can’t help thinking that GW 7900 would be a way better deal. I know, it’s 3 times the price of this one but IMO worth it because it adds tough solar (not that it metters a lot) and multiband 6. It also has mineral glass, and this one is resin if I’m not wrong.
Thanks for another fun video! This isn't relevant, but given your attention to detail, since I also collect folding pocket knives like those in some of your background shots, I wonder if you would consider a video to demonstrate what you consider to be the best way to sharpen them? Edit: Never mind, I just found the video that you produced a few months ago. But if you ever use simple sharpening blocks, I for one would be interested in any tricks or tips. Regards and thanks again
I’ll put that on the list. Later this summer I’ll be putting more knife videos out (reviews, how-to, comparisons). Thank you for watching and have a great weekend!
It is a little on the bulky side. Casio excels at design of big beefy beasts. My favorite is the black and blue MCW110H-2A2V. It looks amazing when the sun hits it.
There’s really not a Casio I dislike, but I’m definitely not in love with this one. Looks like a lot of unnecessary resin. Like a giant spoiler on a car that has no function. Anyway. Thanks for showing it to us!l

Casios are almost always a great buy.
You said that, imagine a compass. Would be insanely good!
Thanks for watching.
I like this kind or way of reviewing a watch. Thanks bro more power to you. I have the same watch btw
Thank you.
I just get it today
Awesome watch man
Congrats!
That looks like a very useful & well thought out watch, Tim! I like it.
It’s a good watch with a unique feature set.
Apparently they fixed the dual-time bug.
I’ve not noticed a dual time issue.
@@Realidealgear That's what I'm saying. In the video you have set it in 24h mode and it clearly differs between AM and PM.

It’s a big, beautiful watch with a busy dial and was in news because of the issue with dual time.
One of my favorite recent releases from Casio.
It’s an interesting outdoors focused watch.

Thanks for watching and Great comments. I’ll look into the WS1500.

Great points. I think the combo of those specs certainly make a good case that the GW 7900 is a better value.

is it the video or the display screen is a little vague?
Not sure what is meant by vague.
I mean the digits in the display don't look so clear like in ae 1200
Got it. I don't think it is. Sometimes the viewing angle can do that with displays.
The dual time issue is fixed?
It has dual time and works fine.
Another BBC.

I like the spoiler analogy!
