man i can listen to you talk all day. random but what advice would you give to someone working to get their H1 and so forth but who is somewhat uncomfortable with heights? does that get easier?
Haha. I'm happy to help in any way. It's funny you ask about the fear of heights. I was tempted to make a video on just that topic. I think It's good to have a fear of heights. It's a protective instinct. Just like a fear of drowning keeps us from swimming. Oh wait ;-) With time and practice, you'll learn how to be safe with heights. Just as swimming practice and time makes us confident in the water. However, it's still worth remembering that it's a healthy fear, and never get complacent with heights. I think the other thing I could say is that the higher you are off terrain, the safer you are (within limits!). Height buys you time when something goes wrong. It buys you time to open your parachute. Or time to think.
@@poklet thank you so much for your thoughtful response. I have subscribed and if you do make a video on heights i would be eager to watch. I am training to do my first solo flight here in California, launching at 3000 ft with a radio, i’m nervous to say the least. Thanks again!
