Jarf D. Dorkis I ask the same question about Kovu and Kiara relationship, but found out that supposedly they are not related.. even though Kovu looks exactly like Scar.
I honestly never even thought about the incestual logic in the entire movie. 2 Male lions (one clearly dominant) with dozens of female adult lioness and multiple cubs everywhere. It was a WTF moment after watching honest trailers.

The Lion King is the best Disney film. I can't believe there are actually people who have never seen it.
🙌
This will probably be the first disney movie i watch with my kids, this movie has to be in their lives, all the old Disney movie's at least, Disney has gone so down hill from all the old shows and Movies. Frozen was good, but it's the only one I've truly liked in many years that was animated.

I'm freaking done. I'm crying, the ending was amazing. Yeah I'm still wondering what they're really saying.
It's African for "its a lion", "yes that's a lion", and "look, a lion." Not kidding.
^ African is not a language. The movie was based in Kenya, so the language would be Swahili.
"Nants ingonyama bakithi baba!" In zulu it means: "Here comes the lion", or something like that... And the Lion King takes place in Tanzania (on place called Serengeti), not Kenya ;)
Simba in Swahili is lion. Also the animators spent 2 weeks in Africa (Kenya) to get inspiration, it's based off of Hell's Gate National Park... Which is in Kenya not in Tanzania. Please don't try to correct me, if it makes you feel better Kenya and Tanzania are really close to each other.

'The catchy song to distract kids from the horrific death they just saw' 😂😂😂 So bloody accurate although in my case it didn't quite work lol.The very first time I saw this film I was a little too blindsided by Mufasa's death to take in the 'Hakuna Matata' song lol

Michael the Kid what book
Kgodiso Tloane the jungle book
Michael the Kid like whoes gonna read some books ha lol
Why did/would he change the songs for so he can ruin them probably?
Yeah, the likelihood of Simba and Nala being closely related always bugged me as a kid... LALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU NALA IS ADOPTED
They are animals. You do realize that in a lot of animals that live it packs there's an alpha male that gets most of the females for several generations until he's overthrown, usually by one of his sons. Then the cycle starts again.
It actually works because any severe defects from inbreeding mean that they don't reproduce, and any groups that get weak from inbreeding will have the Alpha overthrown by someone who's from a different group, mixing some new blood into the gene pool.
That's what cows do in nature, and wolves, and coyotes. Not sure about other species.
Now just look up how Clown fish reproduce and then try to watch "Finding Nemo". (hint, he wasn't looking for his son just because he missed him)
TheUnknowable2 Yeah, but these aren't actual, real, live animals we're talking about. They're basically people in lion bodies and they're supposed to know better. Also, please notice how Kiara (Simba and Nala's daughter) does not have any birth defects, so I'm pretty sure the Disney writers didn't do this on purpose.
You never know in the wild male lions fight for control over a pride if they are defeated they leave and their off springs are killed mabye nala was spared.
I need an extended version of the Circle of Life song

HEY! Hunchback and The Emperor's New Groove are great movies.
Don't forget Hercules!
Brother Bear? Anyone?!?
To be honest, I don't think that The Emperors Groove was very good but I agree with the Hunchback of Notre dame. In my opinion, that was the best Disney film ever.
Emperors New Groove was the bomb and Hercules had the best music. I can go the distance- best hero song.
So is Brother Bear!
"Followed immediately by it's downfall."
Atlantis and Emperor's New Groove are golden, get that shit outta there.
Also "Kimba the White Lion." My sides.
Hunchback of notredame is also there... wtf...
and Tarzan
thing about atlantis and treasure planet was that they felt more like anime than actual disney. I like them, but they're just underrated.
The eight pictures were for "Disney animation" and the "followed by its downfall" was the lion king 1/1/2 and 2
Topaz Emerald They clearly show the first 8 movies on "Followed immediately by its downfall." The Lion King sequels pop up afterwards to hammer the point home.
The “And their own version of New Jersey” part made me really laugh out loud
I spit my coffee on my laptop screen after hearing him sing ''he could eat us all'' HAHAHA smfh thx
Are you kidding me about "it's downfall". Hunchback, Hercules and Tarzan are Disney masterpieces!

That's actually how lion prides work. After a new male takes over, he chases out or kills all the other males, then mates with every single female of the pride. When one of his male offspring (or a male from outside the pride) dethrones him, this process repeats.
Don't forget they kill all the cubs, too. Scar should have killed Nala.
Vomitas13
They only kill the male cubs. They leave the female cubs to mate with later.
Wrathamon28 they kill ALL the cubs that brings the females back into breeding condition faster when they are no longer raising cubs.

Man, I really have to applaud these guys for the singing voices they used on those alternative lyrics - they sound so close to the original!
The only thing I don't like about this video is the fact that when they name "disney's downfall" they show atlantis and treasure planet with the others. Those two movies were glorious and so underrated.
I think it refers to movies that did poorly at the box office as well as the mediocre ones.
In addition, they included Hunchback, the movie with one of the best developed villains... well, ever in Disney, not to mention their soundtrack. (To me, the Lion King was eh...)
*****
Hunchback would've been borderline unwatchable without Hellfire. There's nothing else in that movie I like.
***** I think the majority of those movies (Tarzan, Atlantis, Treasure Planet, Emperor's New Groove, Hercules) are pretty underrated. After The Lion King came out, there probably wasn't much hype for the movies that came afterwards. Which sucks, because I love those Disney movies. Except Home on the Range, I will agree that one wasn't very good.
DynamicJai that's very true, all of the films shown there are great, except for maybe home on the range, it had some funny moments, though. Tarzan is beautiful, and Hercules is one great musical, but at least they got SOME attention; in the other hand, atlantis and treasure planet were almost invisible and both have such clever plots and likeable characters.
Mufasa:Everything the light touches is anime
Simba:What about that shadowy place
Mufasa: Simba WTF did I just stay
The "pork choir" in the background killed me. Then I raised from the dead, only to be immediately killed by the next choir. Nice work guys!
"Followed immediately by its downfall." Hercules, Tarzan, Treasure Planet, Atlantis, Brother Bear, and Emperor's new groove were all top notch.
Talking about Lion King 1 1/2 and Lion King 2.
Thank you for not including home on the range in your list, you did the public a great service today theeshyguy1.
Isn't Treasure Planet not a Disney movie?
Also: Agree, Hercules rockz!
TheYasmineFlower Treasure planet is a Disney movie
theeshyguy1 Ah, yes, thanks. I must've confused it with the Anastasia movie.
Screen Junkies In fact, Nala's father's name is Mheetu. We learn that in The lion king extended universe just like Scar's story who's real name is Taka. In fact, while the film was made, they hesitate between make of Mheetu's character Nala's father or Nala's brother and he should have been his brother in the last decision but in the end, they gave up the idea and left the character away. But yet, the extended story of Taka/Scar still exists in The lion king extended universe.
I remember hearing about books that contained this information. Is it possible to find these online? (I guess I should look up myself.) I only discovered this a year ago, and it feels like I had been cheated. I had mixed feelings for "The Lion King II: Simba's Pride". When I first watched it I felt like I was really watching "The Lion King III" except they forgot to release the original sequel and put the "2" on this movie. Or some weird rewriting. Actually I've noticed that "The Lion King" books published after the sequel was released reference in the epilogue that Rafiki was presenting the new "queen" (Kiara I assume), but books that were published before reference that Rafiki was presenting the new "king"...It was really confusing growing up.@_@
Thank you, that helps a lot. I had no idea that Nala actually had a daughter by Scar. I knew that she was supposed to be his bride/mate because of the musical and some deleted scenes posted on youtube, but...oh boy!
Kousei13
Yet, I think some stories don't match. I know that Kopa dies when he was a child and even if Kiara was born not a long time after his death, I can't help thinking that Vitani doesn't seem as much older than Kiara.
Yet, even into the movies, there's a lot of clues about the fact that these stories exist:
-Scar's hate towards Mufasa until he murders him with that great line "Long live the king"
-The fact that Sarabi talks about Mufasa and say he would have took better decisions than him and then smash her in saying "I'm ten times King Mufasa was!"
-Not in the movies but in the musical, the fact that Scar tries to seduce Nala. Who knows? What could have happened before Nala was able to escape?
-Zira and Nala who exchange some looks with non-sympathy while Simba take his daughter Kiara away from Kovu
-Simba who is overprotective to Kiara and even not always a good father because he is always afraid for her whatever happens
-Nala who doesn't say that the Outsiders are bad and tells Simba that Kovu is not a bad person
-Vitani who says to Nala "Where is your pretty little daughter Nala? -Vitani!" Jealousy here? Pain from a sad mother? Does Zira told Vitani that Nala abandonned her when she was a cub but the truth was that Zira took Vitani away from Nala because she was jealous of the fact that Scar choose her as his queen and that Nala had daughter instead of a the stupid son (Nuka) Zira had with Scar? It's not surprising that she accepted that Scar adopted and choose Kovu, he was naïve at the beginning but far from being stupid and especially strong and "savage"
Yeah, that makes a lot of clues.
Nala's father is never revealed in any side materials. Mheetu was the name of Nala's little brother, who was cut from the movie early on in its production.
AtarahDerek
As I said before "they hesitate between make of Mheetu's character Nala's father or Nala's brother and he should have been his brother in the last decision but in the end, they gave up the idea and left the character away" And it's true that today, Nala's father identity is still unknown. But I hardly doubt that Simba would have dared have children with his sister if he had one.

You guys made me cry so hard with the pork scene, man I love it when these precious childhood memories are messed with unless its funny. If not your messed up.
Also I just realized that simba just had a child with his sister, damn; now my childhood is ruined, funny but ruined
She's not his sister, she's his childhood freind.
Alexa Nimal In technical ways, she could be. Like the end of the video said, Mufasa and Scar are the only male lions in the pride, and Scar has basically been isolated away. So just think about it and I'll leave ya there...

"Do-me eyes" hahaha
I initially thought this was unfair because I think LION KING is a good movie but you guys made it hilarious without forcing any insults :)
Lion king is the best Disney movie to be honest frozen is cheesy
I liked frozen, but then it just got plain annoying. Whenever I hear let it go, I punch myself in the face.
Everyone should just "let it go." See what I did there? Sorry, he he he.
+Connor Brennan no its all good as long as u agree on lion king being way way better than frozen
Johann Reyes Actually, I haven't seen Frozen, but I won't, because I am tired of hearing about it and how good it's supposed to be. I know what it's all about, but it doesn't appeal to me.
+Connor Brennan ya don't worry frozen is actually the same thing as lion king but with different characters watch the honest trailer I bet people are just going to remake movies using plots that were used in old and very good movies like frozen and also star wars 7, star wars 7 litterely is star wars 4 new hope
"He's a threat to our lives..!" I got finished😂😂😂😂
Am I the only one that enjoyed most of "Disney's downfall"? :|
What?,No!,Don't be Stupid,Everyone still enjoys those type of Disney Films after The Lion King!,It's just the People at Honest Trailers being A**holes.
+Michael Maximus theyre assholes for having a different opinion.
okay
Dead Head But their called "Honest Trailers",Y'Know,Telling the Truth about Movies,What they really ARE.
SuperLenny1975 Because their s**tholes.
because there kids
DUUUHHH!!!
Lion King was based on Hamlet. Same story (except with a happy ending). You'd be surprised how many movies/tv shows are based on Shakespeare.
TImothy Tunggal Thanks, didn't know that. But the storyline is Shakespeare's Hamlet.
Justin Ambru
Hence "based" on Hamlet, obviously they couldn't follow the whole story line exactly, given that it was a Disney movie and the actual story of Hamlet isn't really suitable for young kids.
+Lynn Turman Shakespeare is the GOAT!
Pat Etim Yes he is!
+Lynn Turman While true I think it's worth noting that a Disney movie based on a Shakespearean Tragedy is pretty out of left field and probably played a part in it being a much more powerful movie then usual Disney fare.
Fun Fact: Incest has no negative consequences for Lions.
No, really.
+Joe Carne but still...
good thing kids don't get it, unless they grown up and get it
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!
+Joe Carne as well as a lot of other animals.
+Teddy Riggs well, in nature incest is completly normal...But i get your point too
+Joe Carne of course it does, inbreeding lowers the genetic pool and can create health issues. Why do you think zoos take steps to stop big cats trying to mate with their own kids? Because it shouldn't happen.
Nope. In the wild, Lions are perfectly able to breed via incest without issue.
If it makes anyone feel better, the writers said Nala's dad was supposed to be a random wandering male lion, but they couldn't find a good reason to put him in the movie. Makes sense. After all, another male lion would serve as another potential king.
I give you a big Thumbs up for the Kimba ,the white lion reference. Disney said they never stole ideas I call BS on that.
The creator of Kimba denied that claim and never sued them.
***** they don't have be sued to see that the story of the anime vs the lion king is the same exact story.
Simba is lion is one of the African languages, I can't remember which. Its where they got it from.
midlifecrisi hates Google +
It's Swahili.
It's Swahili :)
Wait, stuff like Tarzan and Hercules were part of the downfall of Disney's good movies? Did we watch the same Tarzan and Hercules?
I saw them. And all I know is that when I walked out of the theater after seeing Hercules for the first time, I knew that the Disney Renaissance was well and truly over. I thought both Pocahontas and Hunchback of Notre Dame (which came out before it) were flawed, but good. Hercules, OTOH, I thought was just terrible. And time hasn't changed my mind on that opinion of Hercules either.
As the Nostalgia Chick put it: Hercules, to me, is a confusing, plot-hole ridden, heartless mess.
That said? I don't Tarzan was terrible. It wasn't great - just mediocre. But it wasn't flat-out terrible, like I think Hercules is.
Tarzan is one of my favorite Disney
no they were never a down fall , lion king was just too awesome that it raised the bar too high
They're not at the same level of The Little Mermaid, The Beauty and the Beast, Aladinn and The Lion King
Tarzan wasn't bad, but Hercules was a big let down.
He missed a chance to show scar and mufasa and say starring Loki and Thor
TessaTwix • Or Miguel and Tullio. (Or Tullio and Miguel.)
Similar but motivations are quite different.
Loki and Thor wish they were Scar and Mufasa.
Or Kain and Abel
LOL!!!! OMG, SOMEONE GIVES YOU A REWARD PLEEEAASEEE FOR MAKING MY 2019 !!!!LOLOL
This has to be one of the funniest honest trailers imo 😂😂
They should make an honest trailer for Mulan
K. Kwan Yeah!
K. Kwan agree
Yeeees
They are probably waiting for the upcoming live action
Yeah, let's get down to business
fun fact: even if Mufasa didn't die he would have ran off simba because that's what lions do in real life to avoid incest and mainly because they are now old enough to threaten the lion that's in charge.
Just like he did with Scar!
this was the best honest trailer ever ... and added songs are the best...
"Followed immediately by its downfall" bothers me to this day. Hercules, Tarzan, Treasure Planet, Brother Bear, and Emperor's New Groove... ESPECIALLY Tarzan and Emperor's New Groove, are all good movies.
Did you forget The Hunchback of Notre Dame?
@@bluepanther1013 oh man that movie is a whole sad story of its own
hercules made me mad
Sees Atlantis The Lost Empire:"You take that back!!!!"
And Mulan
I've seen just about every Honest Trailer, this is still the best in my opinion, pure, flawless brilliance from start to finish. "Do-Me Eyes" rofl
Half of the furries in the world are Nala's fault
+SpocketteINFJ this is the fourth time i herd them us pork and i really wish i didn't
ikr this is my favourite
They really like the word dont they?
So they sisters and brother?
Good lord 0_0
or very close cousins

Juan Gonzalez cousins.
Half siblings. Same dad, different mom.
Juan Gonzalez gnigbjghjyfj
"He's a threat to our liiiiiiives, he could eat us aaaaall!"
Dead.
Who else is still shook that mr. Bean voiced that bird?!
Edit: thx for the likes😊
Me lol
That's the most I've ever heard him talk
There's also a Monty Python reference in it. At one point the bird starts singing, "I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts..." It's all cooky British sense of humor (which is amazing)
Wait WHAT?!
Damn, I didn’t know 😱😱😱
0:42 TH-cam has one of those too, it's called "the comments section."
heh
Ha! The truth! He speaks it!
Or just "the dark side of the internet" things that won't ever leave ur head
You speak the truth JDawgDehBoss
Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Tarzan, Treasure Planet, and Atlantis were all fantastic movies.
agree
Good, but definitely a step down from Lion King
The songs from the Hunchback of Notre Dame probably are some of the most powerful and best songs ever written by Disney.
I agree with BB, and also, The Emperor's New Groove was good too.
Damn straight
did you know the beginning of circle of life is, 'look father here comes a lion, yes a lion comes' in swahili?? Edit: ok ok, I made a mistake, it's not swahili.
Jo-Ann Harrison hm. I thought it was only swahili. But I could be wrong
Eh? That is not Swahili lol. Probs Zulu but definitely NOT Swahili
NickyNcube I think it's Katulu.
Kill me now
Lions are gonna pork 😂 That second voice though 😂🤣
The songs killed me 😂😂
"He's on on display.
To remind us all that we're prey" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Regarding the last scene, well now you know why the Lannisters symbol is Lion..
Apply cold water to burn. XD
oh...yep...right in the childhood...ow
Honest Trailer for Pulp Fiction
FULL VERSION OF "WE ARE GONNA PORK TONIGHT" 😭
And "Be Prepared (because I am the bad guy)"
"... a child that was raised by a same-sex couple, not that there's anything wrong with that..."
Okay, Seinfeld.
LGBT is good!
I think it is *ugh* disgusting. Even when I was a child, I said that kissing was gross when it was usually a heterosexual couple. Yet it is better than seeing two of the same genders kissing. Would rather prefer a person kissing a dog on the lips.
MegaGermanShepherds work on your trolling skills. You are ridiculously transparent
Bruh the last sentance really just has to do with our username.
Im bisexual i like kissing both sexes and genders
3:23 literally made me drop on the floor gasping for air
The good thing about the old Disney movies:
People could die.
Seriously everything is (almost) perfect in new kids movies... no deaths, no real moral, (almost) nothing beautiful (except for some of the animation)... don't get me wrong I like/love a lot new disney/kids movies as well but something more serious once in a while would be nice... and I want drawn animation back... I like 3D but 2D is very nice, too.
I love your songs way mor than the original xD (in every video)
Nekotaku You have clearly not watched Big Hero 6 then.
Do Not Remove This Seal No, not yet.
Nekotaku Watch it in 3D if you get the chance. It'll be worth it.
Do Not Remove This Seal Could be difficult. But I'll try. Thanks.
Kimba, the white lion! (Seriously, look it up)
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY ahead of ya~ Been there. Done that. Not going back.
Angelic Guardian we know... this is common knowledge...
Yeah one of my childhood show that I will never miss , the theme song tho😅😅😂
Dude same
They look like mice
Yeah, looks like you need to go back.
