- Pitboss easy fix for control board. Customer Service was great but a little misleading when it comes to the problem. If you ever have an issue with the fan, then be sure they ship you a control board and a fan. The problem can be either when it goes down and out. The fix on the control board took 30 minutes. I will continue to use this and rate them a 8 out of 10. #pitbosspelletsmoker#pitboss#pitbosscontrolboard
Pitt Boss documentation does not define the wire connector color matching. Thankfully I found your excellent video that does a great job documenting this. You saved the day here. Thank you so much for taking the time to make and post this!
Having miserable time with my brand new Pit Boss. Haven't tried customer service yet. Err code every time I attempt to set on cooking temp. Only 2nd time I have used. Trying to be positive and patient. Thanks for the video walkthrough of your problem solving. Cheers

My Pit Boss control board failed on the 6th time I used it. I contacted the company and was told they have been backordered for 3 months and they will send me one when they are in stock. I called back a month later and not getting the part. They said it might be in in another month or so. I am no longer a fan of Pit Boss. Model is a 340 Tailgator.
That is terrible
So did mine!! The metal fab work is good on this grill....but the electronics, fans, etc ain't worth a dam!! I'm no fan either.
It took Pit Boss over 3 months to get me a replacement part. No direction. Pit Boss may warranty something but they don't pay for labor. I had to hire someone to do replacment of board. I should have bought another brand. Glad this video exists.
Would it not been easier to pull the board out then just change wire for wire with both right there?
Loosen the screws on the outer motor or whatever it is it turns the auger just slightly about half a turn each should do then plug it in and see if it moves
How many individual plugs exist to be separated (to remove the old module)?
What was the issue caused you too have to replace the controll panel
so what is the issues with your pit boss?
I just bought mine and I have at least 75 degrees offset 🙃 so right now I'm running it just to see what it wiil do. the controller is at 350 but the on the hood and the one I put inside are at 270. I've replaced the controller and the probe and it's still not right.
Control board was busted
Don't seal the board with silicone. It will fail again.
