Having said that I am glad Saquon got himself out of that dumpster fire and onto a decent team with a shot at a ring.
Anyone remember why they drafted Daniel Jones 6th I believe? ‘‘Twas the Mannings……and I get it, it’s hindsight……but letting go of Barkley let alone to the eagles……? just criminal……
A running back is a fundamental piece to build around. Not a finishing touch. That’s the problem this new NFL and fans have. They fail to realize your RB it’s important. Build the Oline and you don’t need an elite QB just find a good one.
@@amberreed4443exactly. Tennessee titans were the perfect example. They had Henry and a good O line under Vrabel. They were considered one of the top teams in the AFC for a few years and making deep runs with Ryan Tannehill at QB. Their pass game would be completely eliminated if the run game wasn’t working, but when they had that work horse, he’d have that offense working.
It's not just Daniel Jones. Who have they drafted that is a decent starter? Bust after bust after bust, and the only non-bust they let him walk (Barkley). What a joke.
the giants were thinking a crap qb with rare flashes of goodness, was more valuable then a good rb , but injury prone, so they got what they paid for, and then they lost them both. typical of most originations and businesses when it comes to management and they won't ever blink twice about it.
You’re right, but you miss the point. Saquon Barkley is a talent you build around. The Littles, like the Cowpies, pay out big contracts to guys that don’t help build around him. They’d have been better off getting a mediocre veteran for far cheaper and upgrading their line. They didn’t, because they, like Dallas, thinks you can put 2 stars in and win in the NFL.
How would Barkley help the giants without an O line that SUCKS..... Barkley is having a great season in part is due to a great O line. He would have been a waste in NY..
The Giants might have 2 more wins this season.with Saquon. An RB that was offered a generous contract mid-season in '22 and he turned it down. Despite what he said, Saquon was never going to re-sign with the Giants.
Did you ever stop and question why he was averaging 40 yards per game with the Giants, and now suddenly he's killing it? Or was that Daniel Jones' fault too?
Is anyone really surprised that Saquon looks like Saquon on Philly? I am glad to see him doing well bc the giants ruined the prime years of his career.
I was having this exact conversation with my friend during the game. Why the Giants give him NO looks in the first half is moronic. This is a theme, not just a one off. 3rd or 4th time this has happened. Nabers is their best player. He needs the ball early and often.
@@spaceghost8995 DeVito has both a higher completion percentage and QB Rating in his career vs DJones. If your QB can’t get your WR the ball - he’s not an NFL caliber QB. Also, he literally showed he can do it in the second half.
For years, sportswriters have blabbered on about it doesn’t make sense to spend a high draft pick nor pay big money for a running back. He’s essentially missed two full seasons with injuries, has been in the league six years, and is now getting paid thirteen mil a year. The Giant’s line has been bad, but Barkley often lost yardage looking for that one big play. Let’s see how the three year contract plays out. Nice to be snarky eleven games into year one.
Even if the Hard Knocks clip never seen the light of day. We all saw it in the whole franchise tag saga the year prior and how that all transpired last year. That clip only validated how much the casual fan knows how dumb the Giants front office is. That clip had no bearing on how well Saquon is doing and how bad Daniel Jones has been for his whole career save 1 playoff game.
Can we please stop acting like Saquon would be having the same success on the Giants. The Eagles & Giants offense is NOT the same. This isn't plug , play get the same production
Wait....I thought terrible offensive line play, dropped passes, excessive offensive penalties, bad play calling, and no blocking were all corrected when they showed Daniel Jones the door. He got blamed for it all, so all those issues shouldve left when he left. Were all good now. Super Bowl next year.
I like how Rich acknowledges TJs Point regarding Hard Knocks. He manages to emphasise the truth of what TJ is saying, but in the same time he is able to emphasise, why - for the sake of fan experience - there should be zero discussion about having camera crews around. Very good and polite way to handle discussions.. Shows you, how pro Rich Eisen really is.
The problem with these "other" New York teams keep happening is that they assume they're the Yankees and should have titles given to them without putting in the foundation.
This is a fireable offense for schoen, and don’t say “he was too expensive” cuz Drew lock and Devin singletary are making a combined $11 million and aren’t playing
Also, the signing of John Runyan Jr. cost the Giants a compensatory pick from losing Saquon due to Runyan making as much money as Barkley does with the Eagles. Edit: At least the left side of the line should be solid when Andrew Thomas comes back, but the point the Barkley left for nothing is unforgivable.
These sports media need to stop pushing the narrative that the Giants made a mistake letting Saquon Barkley go. They did him a huge favor letting him go. He hasn't/wasn't going to help the Giants at the state they've been in for years and for the next couple years. This isn't Adrian Peterson who can put the team on his back can carry it alone year after year.
I'm a Giants fan we are obviously awful that doesn't mean letting Saquon go was the wrong move. If he was still with us the result would be the exact same except for the fact that he'd have a few highlight runs per game. We were awful when he was here & we'd still be awful now. It's so easy to say now that it was a mistake letting him and McKinney walk but I promise if they were still here and we had the same record people would be clowning us for paying 2 players with low positional value when we need to be rebuilding
@scruffdOg193 U don’t know what Ur talking about ALL OF THE GIANT TEAM were EXACTLY like this oline was ALWAYS BAD. Saquon kept them RESPECTABLE. With out them THEY are the laughing stock they are now. HE WAS ALWAYS THE BEST PLAYER ON THE TEAM
stop with what? the whole point of this segment is "giants suck. they failed to build around a super star RB cuz they suck, and then let him walk cuz they suck, and paid the wrong guy instead of their super star RB cuz ... you guessed it! they suck"
Im just glad the league is seeing the value Running Backs have. They were overvalued for awhile, but it swung back way too hard. Now the running teams are the winning teams and the backs will hopefully be compensated fairly.
No real GM candidate, Head Coach, or free agents would ever want to come to the NYG. And I believe starting next year, draft picks (like Sanders and Ward) will refuse to play for them if they are picked. Remember...... Eli did just that in 2004.
What makes it so bad was the Hard Knocks TV show and the owner lets the GM know he would hate to see their running back join the Eagles 🦅 and he is unstoppable. If I was the Giants GM I would be nervous.
This is really on the owner, forcing a horrid QB on his coach and GM. Now the fallout is here. Starting Devito is clearly a signal to the team they’re tanking (which they should). Daboll wouldn’t have done that unless he was told he is safe. Also, Saquon wouldn’t be putting up anything near these numbers on the g men.
Is this the best segment you could come up with? This is a case of every New York State team supposed to be superbowl ready every season.. Cause if you think the giants are bad because they dont have Barkley, you're ceazy.
So Schoen passed on Charles Cross and Tyler Linderbaum for Evan Neal and Kavon Thibidoux. They could have a pro bowl tackle, an All-Pro center and Saquon instead of two guys who can't play.
You missed the obvious, Saquon would not be having the games of his life right now if he were still a Giant. That's because Philly has a real o line and Giant players already gave up on Dabol.
Stop, please, with this crazy thinking that he would have had the same success with the Giants he's having with the Eagles. This is such a wasted conversation..
Not sure why no one remembers Saquon turned down a deal equal to what he got from Philly except less guaranteed money way before Jones deal. Saquon DID NOT want to stay with the Giants which oh by the way he had only two seasons where he stayed healthy...
@carrite I am. Is that supposed to convince me they’re good at running a footballs franchise? And they’re not very good at running the operation. Good for them founding it 100 years ago but their superbowls came from forcing George young on Wellington. Then Ernie accorsi got them some great rosters in the mid 2000s. Are we supposed to gasp and be in awe are Mara because he’s a supposedly nice and precessional guy while this team continues to be the bottom of the NFC for another decade?
I hate the “ the giants tried “ thing it’s like when you have guys like Odell and you have guys like Saquon , yes different GMs let them go / traded them but still as a NFL owner I wouldn’t just let my new GM come in and let the face of the offense go that we recently drafted first round . It’s literally happened twice no Odell didn’t go shine but that was because he went to the browns
The Giants organization brought this on themselves. It will fade only with Saquan's career or departure from Philly. They knew perfectly well that Philly was the front runner to get him, and the guy from their team even said it in Hard Knocks. They're gonna be reminded of it every single week he plays well for Philly, and doubly so when they play against each other twice a year.
This is such a lazy take and i am tired of it. The Giants would be in the same circumstance with Barkley. In a salary cap league, the rb is not the most concerning issue w this team.
Nabers chewing gum, wearing sunglasses, complaining about targets in his rookie year. Calling out his head coach. -He’s going to be a problem. And not in a good way.

@@rebeltvr6046 the giants spent like 3 of 6 first rounders on linemen from 2017-now lol They gambled on Kenny Golladay but tried.
@@rebeltvr6046 but Daboll & Schoen have only been here for 3 years. You had Gettlemen that paid Kenny Golladay to do nothing & didn't make adjustments to the ol & provide protection in pass/run game. Plus change of coaches & staff kinda F'd everything there. Probably would of messed with Jones being the way he is. With no real vision & football iq
Lifelong Washington fan here. If Saquan isn't the MVP this season, it's rigged or bias.
This also adds insult to injury as I feel it should be unanimous at this point.
If he breaks Dickerson's single rushing record, it should be unanimous
The giants know what kinda player Saquan Barkley is…he said he wanted to stay in NY. That’s where u begin ur build or continue to build…but no way do u get rid of a player like that! He is worth the risk…he’s worth the injuries…U bank on him and work with him. He WANTED to stay knowing the mess we were. Cmon!
Cut the crap, they offered him 3 times money he refused to be Giant
It’s hard for Malik to take it serious what’s going on when he has heard and seen Tommy Devito in practice, everyday. He knows that Coach D doesn’t really think Tommy is that good. That’s why he’s like “this is bs a waste of my year”… he’s right to be upset. Can you imagine him somewhere else this year? 😊
Yeah, and Tommy is THEIR guy whom THEY drafted.😂
send him over to us in philly!!
I remember when we had OBJ and Saqoun on the same team and what a record breaking season that was!
The Danke, Schoen headline was BEAUTIFUL.
Giants not affording Saquon a new contract ranks up there with the Browns giving Deschaun Watson his broken deal before he even showed he could still play as worse decisions by a GM ever.
If they had Saquon the might be 3-8 instead of 2-9 🙄
I think they'd be 4-7.
And how would that help them? Mid draft pick no good qb for next year@@bburkie55
Facts 😂
Still no line, what would u expect??
They are so bad, they need to hire Bill has GM/HC.
I think you are forgetting the track record bill has a HC minus Brady
@@jerrodhoward9162a lot of people in have short term memory loss I swear 😂😂😂
6:15 well TJ, some of us 15 teams don't walk around claiming to be Americas team, on every network, every day ;)
The Cowboys don't do that. The media does that. Y'all just drink the ESPN kool-aid.
@yancyfields3552 right, like Jerry doesn't pay the stations.🙄
The giants are not running by back away from competing, but the opportunity cost of not signing him has been massive.
@@amberreed4443oline is most important in today nfl
It's not just Daniel Jones. Who have they drafted that is a decent starter? Bust after bust after bust, and the only non-bust they let him walk (Barkley). What a joke.
He will get injured sooner or later. He always does
Drew Lock looks happy in that picture lol. Maybe he'll get his shot
the giants were thinking a crap qb with rare flashes of goodness, was more valuable then a good rb , but injury prone, so they got what they paid for, and then they lost them both. typical of most originations and businesses when it comes to management and they won't ever blink twice about it.
A crap offensive line and no blocking can make a good QB look bad, and a great running back look average. We proved that.
I’m kinda over Rich lately with his smugness. Saquan wouldn’t have had this kind of success had he stayed in NY. Stop acting like he would have
You’re right, but you miss the point.
He’s a jet fan
Giants prioritized Dan Jones over Saquon.. complete idiots
They could have used some of that money they paid Jones to get some good offensive lineman in FA
Is anyone really surprised that Saquon looks like Saquon on Philly? I am glad to see him doing well bc the giants ruined the prime years of his career.
FACT
12 weeks into Malik's rookie season and he has the WR1 gimmick down to a tee
"SHOW ME THE MON-NEEEEEEEEEEY!!!"
I was having this exact conversation with my friend during the game. Why the Giants give him NO looks in the first half is moronic. This is a theme, not just a one off. 3rd or 4th time this has happened. Nabers is their best player. He needs the ball early and often.
Uhh HELLO you had Tommy 6th string playing today yo.....😂😂
@@spaceghost8995 DeVito has both a higher completion percentage and QB Rating in his career vs DJones. If your QB can’t get your WR the ball - he’s not an NFL caliber QB. Also, he literally showed he can do it in the second half.
@gurkdoinwork Good luck with all that! 🤣🤣
Thank you Giants!!!
Giants are in full tank mode.
Are u blind?
Do u see what he is doing RECORD BREAKING STUFF.
SHUT UP!!!
@ I’ve watched five years. You’ve watched twelve games. (And you’re the expert.)
But also that gm and owner convo was wild. I think thatll be the last time we see that on that show lmao
@CIN00816 clown he might not have that production but having Nabors gives that offense a different look and I'm not even a Giant fan.
Rich.... I never realized this point. 🤣😂🤣 it's crazy🦅🦅🦅
we can't say this enough, we don't give two shits about Saquon, we've seen him on the Giants for years lol, what we need is a decent roster, HC and GM
Does anyone think the giants record would be alot better with Barkley and McKinney on the team? I don’t, maybe 1 more win, 2 tops
They actually could have paid Barkley and Jones. Drew Lock's contract proves it.
Barkley saw the Giants O line and said to himself “I’m heading elsewhere!”
The problem with these "other" New York teams keep happening is that they assume they're the Yankees and should have titles given to them without putting in the foundation.
similar case can be made with CMC and the Panthers.
sometimes someone else's f**k up can be your silver.
Sanders to Nabors is going to be incredible
Dankeschön for this Headline 😂
10:32 Joe Judge incident was not Jones at qb. He was injured. It was a qb sneak deep in their own end with Jake Fromme at qb
This is a fireable offense for schoen, and don’t say “he was too expensive” cuz Drew lock and Devin singletary are making a combined $11 million and aren’t playing
I really wish we never signed either of those guys despite them being quality people.
Uhhhh if Saquon was on the Giants this year he would have 1/4 the stats.
Yesterday was the worst day in Giants football history, in the team's centennial season, no less.
Get Schoen out he’s a bum.
Jones signing with Baltimore and coming back to Metlife THIS season would be epic!😂
Didn’t Garrett Wilson said something similar last year?
Rich needs to stop with this. Saquon on the Giants right now wouldn’t be playing like he is right now behind this Giants O-Line.
The Giants wasted half of his career. He deserves every praise he gets.
@scruffdOg193 U don’t know what Ur talking about ALL OF THE GIANT TEAM were EXACTLY like this oline was ALWAYS BAD. Saquon kept them RESPECTABLE. With out them THEY are the laughing stock they are now. HE WAS ALWAYS THE BEST PLAYER ON THE TEAM
stop with what? the whole point of this segment is "giants suck. they failed to build around a super star RB cuz they suck, and then let him walk cuz they suck, and paid the wrong guy instead of their super star RB cuz ... you guessed it! they suck"
@@yummyfunnybunny5167 I remember the many rich eisen videos ranting at Tennesse for letting Henry go, but go off.

Love how Barkley had the chance to go back in and run up more numbers but humbly let other team mates contribute.
Well dont ask the players questions and turn around and instigate/gaslight the situation
Im just glad the league is seeing the value Running Backs have. They were overvalued for awhile, but it swung back way too hard. Now the running teams are the winning teams and the backs will hopefully be compensated fairly.
If Barkley wins a SB with the Eagles... he should retire as an Eagle and get inducted into the Eagles HOF
The Giants hired the wrong Brian, they paid the wrong guy, and they have no idea what to do now.
The Moras are clowns.
One thing: It wasn't Daniel Jones who ran a sneak on 3rd-and-9 in 2022 vs. Washington in a 22-7 loss. It was Jake Fromm.
Shedeur Sanders = 5 more years of mediocrity. I am an Eagles fan. Giants, PLEASE draft him😅
Plus Neon Deion comes to the circus... Ha!
No real GM candidate, Head Coach, or free agents would ever want to come to the NYG.
And I believe starting next year, draft picks (like Sanders and Ward) will refuse to play for them if they are picked. Remember...... Eli did just that in 2004.
Yea Eli did to go to NYC the location is full proof
What makes it so bad was the Hard Knocks TV show and the owner lets the GM know he would hate to see their running back join the Eagles 🦅 and he is unstoppable. If I was the Giants GM I would be nervous.
Nabers and Dabol need to an agreement to get Malik more targets and Malik won't ever chew gum into a microphone ever again.
John Mara needs to sell the team to someone who actually cares about winning
Stop smacking, Malik!
When Chase Claypool spoke freely it ended his career. How is that fair ?
Love the word play with a german flavor. 😂😂
giants are so unbelievably fucked until mara sells
You are aware who founded the New York Football Giants in 1925, are you not???
They were bad with Barkley tho so it really doesn't matter.
QB3's "spark" started a dumpster fire.
🔥
Congrats G-Men!
Was the reason why Malik didn't have any targets in the first half because he wasn't able to get enough separation from his defenders? I don't know I didn't watch the game.
Giants need to fire the HC and GM ASAP
My money is on S. Barkley told his agent get me out of this place, I don't care what the Giants offer me. That is why that gm did not get fired.
Barkley enjoys one of the best offensive lines in football.
good teams win with their lines. good olines make great offensive players, which turn into great plays, and that turns in positive morale that everyone benefits from. as an Eagles fan, i was never worried about kelce leaving because we have Stoutland. football is won in the trenches.
The Giants GM should resign and claim his complete incompetence for letting Saquon go. It is sad when a person on the street sees talent better than supposed professionals.
