The A-10 Thunderbolt II, also known by its pilots as the Warthog or Hog.
The GAU-8 Avenger is an seven barrel Gatling gun in 30 mm caliber mounted on the A-10 Thunderbolt II.
The C-RAM/Phalanx CIWS (Counter-Rocket Artillery Mortar) system and CIWS (Close In Weapon System) use a 20mm gatling cannon to destroy incoming targets.

@@jffry890 CRAM is entirely automated. The only reason it’s missing is because the A-10 is far enough away to move away from the bullets in an evasive manner, at slow enough speeds it can basically turn back on its own condensation trail

to the foreigners in the comments talking about isreal and palenstine: this is a military simulation. it isn't real footage, but is sure as hell looks like it (which is insane considering this game came out long before unreal engine 5 and has a much smaller dev team than most AAA games.) the game is arma 3.
arma 3 videos w/warthogs and c-rams are great to watch. i know the game is mainly ground ops (at least from what people I know who play it seriously) but i love the c-ram vids. if rockstar was to include a warthog or c-ram in gta 6 that would be nuts.

Actually, at least with the C-RAM in the game, it’s 1 tracer every 3 rounds.
EDIT: scratch that, the C-RAM in the video is a modded version with the GAU from the vanilla A-10, which should be all tracers.

Cram is not meant to take down planes, sub optimal at best. A A-10 is made to keep flying even if it's swiss cheese. This A-10 would probably fall back in real life if it has been hit this many times he must've lost at least 1 engine and needs to return asap.

Right. Hate to disappoint all of you out there, but this is just a video game. It's bullshit. An A-10 pilot wouldn't hang around while being shot at like that. They don't fire their 30 mm Cannon for long. Don't need to. Even though, it has six barrels to keep it from overheating. Sort of, an electric Gatling gun. Nearly, the entire length of the plane. 4000 rounds per minute of depleted uranium. Designed as a tank killer after the rugged Russian sturmovik, used in WWII against Nazi tanks. Hellfire missiles too. They come in, destroy the Target with a short burst, and Boogie out of there. I was fooled in the beginning to. I've seen multiple videos like this. Anti-aircraft missiles Etc. That stupid anti-aircraft gun on the ground that fires nonstop for an hour and never hits anyting is fucking annoying. Haha

A-10 warthogs are powerfull as hell
The system being used is relatively low caliber and used mostly to take out missiles, not aircraft. The a-10 is built to take small arms fire.
Yeah, that’s the unrealistic part. Modern AA systems don’t missing like that. The other thing is, short bursts connecting with the fuselage should’ve been enough down it (even with suboptimal aim)..
The A10 Warthog isn’t built like most planes, not only can it fly with one engine and one wing, but it can take a tank shot and keep flying.

I had this exact experience in slabs. I was camped a few miles away from everything and the military base opened up fire. It was insane. Saw about 20 of these going ham.
