    Took this same ferry overnight last month on our trip from the US to visit London, Amsterdam, and Cologne. It was a great experience. So nice to just wake up at your destination. And a much better night's sleep than plane or train.

    I went to Germany July 26th on a Stena line ferry, I LOVED IT!!!! I was very scared though because it was my first time on a ferry, it took way too long though (7 hours!), but it was worth it and I had a lovely time in Nordhorn where I was staying (my dad was stationed in Nordhorn)

      Funnily enough he asked about going on a ferry again the other day 😀

      I’m sure he’d prefer a 777

    Loved it - very useful info as always - and the dinosaur was a bonus!

      I think I lost some of the footage from breakfast, but yes, it’s a decent crossing.
      If you do a night crossing they slow it down so you get a full night sleep.

    Hi … have a question, what sort of documentation check is done regarding the car? I just bought my first car in the UK but did not receive the new V5C yet, I just have the V5C/2 with my name on it. Could this be a problem? I am on a schedule and can not wait to get the definitive one before the trip. Any insights? Cheers

      I have never had a check at the ferry port, but you could get checked on the motorway of you got pulled over.
      Normally only takes 3-5 days to get V5 document if you did ownership change online.

      UK one was over here and Dutch on the other side (unlike Eurotunnel which is all done before departure).

    Is there only 1 floor for cars on this ferry or is there multiple?

    • @NeilsCarsAviationTravel
      @NeilsCarsAviationTravel  ปีที่แล้ว

      From memory there are 3 floors total. 1 for trucks, one for cars and trucks and a moveable floor for just cars.

      I think you’ll be fine. A friend of mine had a very low T2 VW Camper and that was also ok getting on and off the ferry.

    Oh dear, the breakfast is now awful, changed everything. Can't ask for what you want, fixed on a silly board. Got one fried egg one sausage. Bacon and one sad toast. No orange juice not even jam for bread. They filled the plate with roast potatoes, I kid you not. Mushrooms were half cooked.
    No yoghurts or croissants . A tour group got a really good breakfast in a separate area with all the trimmings, visible for all to see. Forget, stay in bed an extra hour and eat on land.

      That’s a shame. I’ll be on it again later in the year and will try and review again.

      It was about £380 for the 3 of us (day crossing both ways). Night crossings cost more.
