- In today’s video I’ll be talking about a food service distributor that not too many people talk about. That company goes by the name of blue line distribution. These truck drivers make pretty good money and it’s 100% touch freight. Let me know what you guys think in the comments. #trucking #truckdriver #delivery #foodservice #cdl
The only thing that prevented me from excepting this job in Michigan was the time out, my wife no longer wanted me to be away from home.
I can relate. My wife’s the same way.
Yeah good money ain't worth losing the fam over it lol
Sooo is cooking at $23 hourly 5 to maybe 7days a week 8 hrs to 10hrs daily ..local ofc no wife bm.. Lost her to being a slave to uber n lyft sooo i need advice since i see we all on the verge of running our family away lokey😅
I’m a driver for them. Make $32 hour starting out , ot excellent benifits. Hard work but they pay you for it . Your only away from home 2 days per week and they pay you to sleep away from your family tax free ontop of wages . I get $400 per month per diem monthly. Good equipment makes job easier . Your video is accurate as far as hours four day workweek etc.
I saw in one of your comments on another video that you work out of the St. Louis DC. I talked to another one of your drivers there while I was delivering for Branding Iron, Chad I think his name was. Sounds like y'all have it pretty good for what you're doing. I heard you guys have to purchase some of the supplies you need for the job. If so, which supplies, how much can you expect to shell out, and does Blue Line reimburse you for them? TIA
Can you be gone longer if you want to ? Like run like 3 layover routes a week?
Hey Julie give some more info on it
How do I apply for them . I have a class A with all endorsements. I’m in tampa Florida
Do they hire new driverd
Yep pizza class a drivers make money to , Domino's, papa johns , blue line distribution. Lift gate and ramp Some layovers are required some local ,depends on location.
💯💪🏾
I can see why the CT location pays more, the cost of living is a little higher up there. Plus you're running the northeast where a lot of folks wouldn't touch with a 10ft pole. Lol
Ct sucks lol in trying to find a way out I wanna move to Florida
Boy the bread so good and every year they give a cost of living raise plus you annual
Most driving jobs pay well these days. I'm a local bulk feed driver, home every afternoon 45 to 50 hours a week 31 dollars an hour. Zero manual labor.
My guyyyyyy you talked about it. Glad to know you read your comments…i love working for this company…checks be damn near 3k every 2 weeks which is not bad since im fresh out of school
Yes sirrr! Good stuff bro. Keep doing your thing out there & stay safe.
@@imanthonytv heck yea bro most definitely 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🤝🏾💯
They pay biweekly??
@@Watch_carefully yes you do
How do you apply for them?
little caesars owns blue line. That’s why they can make the pizzas for so cheap despite (believe it or not) using some of the highest ingredients of any pizza chain. There’s a video about it on TH-cam.
I driver tankers. Was hauling cement to concrete plants but am switching to fuel transport. Starting rate is $35hr. $38hr after 2 years plus union pension, welfare and life insurance along with a company sponsored 401k. Very little to no physical labor. No way am I doing this, especially at 45 years old.
I just seen a blue line truck delivering to a little Caesars on my way home in Houston.
Wow this is interesting, I’m a GFS route driver in Canada and we deliver all of Little Caesar’s product up here in the north. I didn’t know a different company delivered their stuff south of the border!
hey Anthony you should do a video talking about chick-fil-A driving jobs, i know a handfull of guys that went to work for them and starting rate is between $33 and $41 an hour, btw thats in NC
Do you mean chic fila
Is this the one in Mebane NC?
@@bleekmode116 yea
Yeah, they have a new DC in Mebane, and they pay well if you put in the time. Starting at about 85k to over 100k easy.
Quality custom distribution has the chick fil A drivers.
And after our recent raise, a "rider" at GFS will make an average of $32.88 an hour, based off a 40 hour week lol. Crazy.
😎💰🤑
More awesome jobs. Keep doin it!
Frito-Lays in Charlotte needs 20 more drivers. Taking drivers out of school.
How much they pay?
@@stretch27358cent a mile and 13.5 cent a case. 2000 plus cases a trailer
I drive for Frito Lay out of Canton Ohio. We get .69 cents a mile, 19 dollars for pre trip, 8 dollars for every trailer you drop or hook. Three weeks paid vacation starting out. It’s seniority based on bidding for jobs. Easy 6 digit job starting out.
These are some really good one's 👍 shedding some light these hidden gems
I’m at the Lawrenceville location we get a lot of OT if you handle yo handle we drive sleepers also a store is only getting 3 pallets max 270 pieces is considered heavy which is rare depending on route but thi money easy and free if you ain’t scared to work
Are you home daily?
Probably pay more cause minimum wage and the cost of living. They start off at $29 here in stlouis. Talked to them earlier today. Tryna decide between them and US Foods.
29 sucks for all that work
The fact of the matter is the food industry has a high turn over rate because nobody wants to work like a slave. They work yo asssssss, better have some good benefits
The benifits are superior to anything I’ve seen in the trucking industry. Period .
@@juliearca827 not worth medical bills
I did my time at Sysco finger printing groceries 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
Bro please keep doing this bro please
I gotcha
Can you talk about the Whataburger distribution Center And Center on how they run?
Local tanker truck drivers make 120-140k a year! I personally know :)
I work for the company We don't make as much money as we use to when Mr Illitch was alive. Now his son runs the company and he cut all of our bonuses and pay. They don't want us to make overtime. And the average starting pay is not 27. We don't even use corporate logging.
Very odd . Bc I can go to any hotel corporate lodging but I Jsut sleep in the truck .we get overtime about 20-25 hrs a period I’d say , and I started w 32 per hour w sign on bonus etc . Benifits are cheap like 400 cheaper per month than my wife was paying for the family.
Pay is crap for two man job
You wanna work there you better be prepared to work. Unloading by hand 40k lbs a night. Better be in good shape!
Love this channel bro
💯✊🏾
I’m near the Orlando and I missed the hiring even :(
"Ten roads" making $32/hr drop and hook mostly 😍
Nice!
How do you apply and do you need experience
@@BabyyJJ I found them on Indeed where I'm at, they were asking for 1 year tractor trailer experience. Starting at like $32 about.
Bro!!! They have a driver apprentice program!!!
Yep, sure do! 👍🏾
Anthony, Need You Advise. I'm just Starting at US. Foods. The only thing I really don't like about working there is, it seems like all the drivers basically re running off loading the trucks. I'll work at a good pace but just don't want to be rushing to do my job. Any Advice???
Yes, my advice is to work at your own pace. Don’t feel like you have to keep up with guy’s who have more experience. The main objective is making on time deliveries & bringing back an empty trailer accident free. If you’re able to do that, then you’re doing your job.
I agree . When I started with blue line , I couldn’t hardly keep up I’m a smoker and it’s physical work compared to the no touch bump a dock routine I had been doing for two year prior . Couldn’t imagine moving like the guys were who were training me but your body gets used to it ,and now I move that quick ,but if you don’t want to move like that once ur out of training slow down at your pace . But me , here at blueline we are allowed a certain number of hours for a route like the one I’m on currently is like 24.70 hrs so I knock it out in probably 20 hrs return truck to yard and stay clocked in for nearly five hours that I’m with my family for . And that’s encouraged by management. Nice little perk if you can move quick . Also,I’m on my wife’s acct for any of you wondering lol.
Yo!!!! I work for them!!! Greatest job I ever had.
💪🏾💪🏾
Can you give some insight on it ? Pay ? Extra pay? Benefits and the routes
@@teeroythetrucker all of that depends on the area you in heavily. But to give you an idea on routes, it’s like any job with low seniority, you’ll be on the extraboard
@BigTimeTruckDriver85 is this a team position like papa johns and dominoes? I stay in canton Georgia near marietta, Acworth, roswell area north Georgia anything near me? What can you make here or what have you cleared annually?
Yeah, but some of these stores are very difficult to deliver to.
Them drivers in Canada must be busy busy busy
Just got an offer 35$ hr debating them or Sysco. Sysco 10 minutes from my house BLD 45 minutes can make more at Sysco idk what’s ur opinion?
10 min away and can make more at Sysco…I say Sysco.
Hey man, you got any room on your couch or maybe the floor somewhere? Ima move to Florida and work at your GFS location and have you train me
They offered me the job It’s a waste of time so I declined
Why did you not take the job?
I just got a offer at a nursing home cook chef etcc and its 23hr nd i just stand making mash potatoes n salsburysteak . things of that nature on tne menu... I think i rather be a cook now that i see these pay break downs.. Or i rather go otr running nonstop illegal too lbvs .. But fr nonstop 34 rest n ill keep it moving . thats the only perk i see with truvking ovrr being a cook?? Tell me im wrong so i can commit to this cdl thing.. Cuz me n food i feel like im burning out i dont want to hate cooking so i want to leave but these numbers are reallll close to mine plus i think otr ill do 70plus if possible..butttt. 29$ 50hrs weekly maybe $927 if not 1100 ....i thinkkkk cooking beats it soley because trucking is driving local or otr but alot of things can come up daily hmmm plz lmk if you read this by a comment to me ...idc lmk how it is school me on this cuz i need to hear it
*little caesars is the most disguising pizza ever made!!*
Do you know any good companies in the Orlando fl area? I’m having a hard time finding a good local job. Been driving over 2 years otr now.
I deliver to blue line in Atlanta area! Cheese from leprino in California. I make 3+k for the load.. Go home 2 day's grab a load back to Cali for the same. I net 4k for 5 days work
Niceeee! Thanks for the info! 👌🏾
@@imanthonytv of course I own my truck. So not a company driver and have a big maintenance account
You so Mike the got cross country loads?
How do you survive delivery in the winter? I almost died on during my first snow day
Bundle up
The big picture is being your own boss as a owner operator don't be stuck working for someone the rest of ur life
Nah..Not everyone has aspirations to be an owner operator. There are a number of owner operators who actually went out of business and went back to being a company driver. The big picture is providing for your family, staying healthy, getting life insurance, investing, & making sure your finances are in order in the event something tragic happens. You can be your own boss & have a 9 to 5.
@@imanthonytv
You’re right. Being an owner operator isn’t always a good thing. Comes with a lot of overhead and shady dispatchers low balling you on the rates.
Screw that! I’m using trucking to help me reach my goals that will get me out of trucking. Owner Op is not all of our goals homie.
I agree with you man
No you’re wrong. Owner operator is at the mercy of everyone and has customers and freight brokers to answer too, yes you do and one accident as an o/o the insurance company will raise your rates and rate you out of business.
Man that’s a lot of time off 😮
That's 1500 a week before taxes. Papa John's and dominos pay more
👍🏾
@@imanthonytv you wouldn't leave gfs for that much 😂 that's like 1100 after taxes.
Nope.. I’m good at GFS 😂
Who knows, I’m sure some of them make more than $1,500 a week after OT.
