The alleged ticket prices for the Cleveland Browns new dome are INSANELY expensive

- Supposed ticket prices for the Cleveland Browns new domed stadium were released on X and the prices are crazy. The seats in the new dome in Brook Park might price out the average fan at these prices, especially for what the Browns are putting on the field right now.
The National Football League’s (NFL) Cleveland Browns have confirmed they plan to leave their current lakefront home in downtown for a new dome venue in the Brook Park suburb.
Confirmed:
Browns were offered US$1.2 billion proposal to renovate their current home by city officials, including US$461 million of public financing
The NFL team were also offered a 30-year lease extension, with its current deal expiring after the 2028 season
The Browns instead choose to proceed with plans to build a new domed venue in Brook Park, which will cost US$2.4 billion
Context:
The Browns have played at their current home since 1999. It was recently renamed as the Huntington Bank Field as part of a new 20-year stadium naming rights deal with the bank. The name will transfer to the new venue at Brook Park.
The lakeside location of their current home has brought up challenges for the team, such as traffic issues and a lack of parking. It is also an open-air venue, which is not considered ideal during the winter season. The Haslams said in a statement that the new domed venue would allow for “year-round activity”, and that its build would not require the use of existing taxpayer dollars.
Cleveland mayor Justin Bibb had previously set a deadline for 12th August for a response to the city’s renovation offer. Prior to the Haslams’ statement, he claimed the decision to leave would cost the city US$30 million per year in economic impact.
Comment:
The Haslams stated: ‘We’ve learned through our exhaustive work that renovating our current stadium will simply not solve many operational issues and would be a short-term approach.
’With more time to reflect, we have also realised that without a dome, we will not attract the type of large-scale events and year-round activity to justify the magnitude of this public-private partnership.’
Bibb had earlier said: “The Haslams’ choice to move the team away from this progress is frustrating and profoundly disheartening.
“This is a deliberate choice-one driven by a desire to maximise profits rather than positive impact. They had the opportunity to reinvest in Cleveland, transform the current stadium into a world-class facility, enhance the fan experience, and remain highly profitable. We put those options on the table in good faith. Unfortunately, that was not enough.”

Yep, raise ticket prices and ask for tax dollars so you can build a new playpen. If you can pay a shitty QB a guaranteed $230 million then you don't need public funds. Great PR there Jimmy, especially with the season we're having.
Fire Haslam
NO franchise should EVER get tax assisted funding for a stadium EVER. Every owners franchise (especially in the NFL) has increased in value since they purchased it at minimum of 500%. If they can't pay for their own stadium, then sell the team. Public tax dollars that are needed elsewhere should never be used to build a stadium for millionaire and billionaire owners. PERIOD!!!
Amen!
if everyone in cleveland pitched in $100 could we have enough to just cut deshaun and it not effect our cap room? i would do that!

I am absolutely NOT going to pay for a license to have the privilege of being able to THEN buy season tickets. Count this season ticket holder OUT.
Thats what everyone is/has been doing for years.
Should've been out years ago. You pay to watch garbage every Sunday, since 99. Congratulations.
We're supposed to be impressed that you've *finally* hit a limit? Trust me, many people have higher limits, and the Browns owners will ifnd those people, lol.
@@ABruckner8Nah. Browns have stunk for decades. It's clear the fans don't show up for the wins but instead the tailgates and the Muni Lot. It's just a social circle now.
@@ABruckner8 That's correct. Only so many local fans that can shell out that $$, and some of those might drop on the principle of this whole mess. The majority of these tickets will be scooped up by online ticket brokers, and they likely won't have any problem selling them at a premium as fans of opposing teams with disposable income for travel and tickets will be showing up to cheer on their teams without having to worry about rain/snow/cold.
Just another reason why citizens shouldn't pay a cent.
the best thing for to happen is for Haslem to build the stadium and then nobody buys tickets. Nobody buys the merchandise.
Absolutely! No one goes and that big new dome is empty all season. That is what should happen. Force Haslam to sell the team.
Haslam isn't for us, but he's not stupid either. He knows online brokers will buy the season tickets and sell them at a premium - likely to fair weather fans of visiting teams who previously wouldn't come to Cleveland due to the weather conditions. He doesn't care who fills the seats, as long as they're filled.
That would be so great but we know they won’t. Will still have the supporters of this crap team there every Sunday.
Those ticket prices are 33% higher than the Chiefs ticket prices 😂😂
😂😂 These fans going to games are dumb and, the Hasbeen family knows it.
And the Chiefs win.
No reasonable person is paying those prices for Browns tickets
Corporations will snap them up and NFL prices surpassed working peoples affordability long ago.
They will.
People are stupid and will pay it
Spending near a million dollars just for season tickets is hilarious.
If I hit the powerball for The billion i would still buy the cheap seats and the 15 dollar dog n 🍺 putting real money into the browns is a bad investment every time
And idiots will pay, I'm at the point I don't even watch anymore!!
But you watch news about the browns… stop it 😂
@-Saulgood- It comes across my feed because I sub to the channel and i watch all the time. I'm allowed to watch the news and still criticize the team, I'm not watching today, so you stop, I haven't in weeke, and I'm not until watson is gone or haslam sells. I've been a fan my whole life(43 years), and I can't take it anymore. If you want to waste your sundays, go ahead.... but I'm done!!
I paid $1,700 for 2 seats this season in Section 530 (upper deck) and is not a PSL. With the way the team raises prices every year regardless of the performance on the field, I cannot see myself having season tickets at the dome if the projected prices are true.
Since these projections are based on a survey conducted by the Browns, I imagine these figures can only be underestimated.
Question... Why lol? I wouldn't pay 2 bucks for a seat for the moron front office and HC to churn out continual failure.
I would never pay this to see a loser team lose games on purpose forget about that
The city of Cleveland should buy the Browns, emulate Green Bay.
The league will never allow that ...Packers got grandfathered in. I'd they could change it they would
People have been saying this since 1995. It absolutely should've happened in 99.
@lightweight1365 so one piece of information I would direct you to is Terry Plutos book "False Start". Every True Browns fan should read that and lay witness to the colossal f-ck up the NFL pulled on the city of Cleveland and it's fans....why bc we were desperate and the NFL took FULL ADVANTAGE....and we are still paying the price. Tagalabough was a complete clown
@@dandee6331 Thanks, I’ll check it out. No matter what, it’s been a very sad experience to be a Browns fan.
@@dandee6331 NFL wants all domed stadiums and the city wouldn't pony up for that.
Most fans do not buy season tickets. They just wait till the Browns. Have a losing season and get the tickets for free.😅😅
That’s every year
Rich brokers buy season tickets and resell them online through Ticketmaster or StubHub. They know they'll make good money on the Steelers, Bengals, and Ravens games every year, plus at least a couple other quality opponents that come to town. Even if they take a loss on a couple games, they come out ahead overall. With the dome, more opposing fans will be willing to come to Cleveland, hence the higher season ticket prices.
Let the owner snd players, yes players pay for it. The stadium allows players to make millions. Same for baseball and basketball. Enough of dumping in the fans and other taxpayers
These owners have turned out to be the absolute most greedy , worst owners we could have ever imagined , and they’re billionaires ha , their team sucks ass , deal with that
Maybe Dan Gilbert should buy the Browns and keep our team in downtown.. he’s a winner!
I had season tickets but I cancelled them back in 2011. I reached the point back then that I was so disgusted by the product that I was getting in exchange for my money that I refused to spend one more cent on Browns tickets or merchandise. I have not gone to a game since then, and I will not spend another cent on anything related to the Browns until they have 2 consecutive winning seasons. And if you ever want anything to change with the Browns, then y'all need to stop spending your money too!
You got out at the right time, with Haslam having taken over in 2012.
I finally gave up on the team this year. 25 years of this is enough. I live overseas, so I never attended the games, but always bought a sports TV package so I could watch them. Never again. Just doing the math - wasting 5 hours each Sunday for 16 games over the last 25 years. That equates to 83 days (24 hour days) that I have wasted watching bad football that just leaves me in a bad mood. 83 days I could have been doing literally anything that would have been more productive.
Analytics say that WATCHING BAD FOOTBALL is becoming exorbitant !!!
Wont pay a dime to watch the Browns until they are worth watching
This has been a long time in the making, and I thought it was a ludicrous idea to even contemplate it, but I thought it was odd when a part owner of the Steelers organization ( our greatest rivalry) purchased this team, and since day one every single decision made by this man has led the team to the slow path of destruction. And having analyzed and studied talked about, and vented for years, I’ve come to the conclusion that it won’t get better until he relinquishes his control. Unfortunately we can’t fire the owner, but with the product the way it’s been, the generational gap in the fan base widening, I believe this move to a dome will officially be the end of the Cleveland browns, and I encourage everyone to stop giving him your money or support until he gets the message and the message is his bottom line.
I 100% agree with you.
I will not support the team if they move to a dome. The dome will be the end of Cleveland Browns Football forever.
Haslam is laughing all the way to the bank.
A bunch of not so smart folks will buy into this.
Teams continually price out a large portion of their hardcore fans.
Sorry....the Browns screwed the fans this year! Put a disgrace of a product on the field, which in the real world creates NO DEMAND! I personally will not be at this stadium.....or the new one until the product is worth buying. Right now....Im not buying this garbage on the field....and I won't be buying it until it's worth buying! 3-4 years from now? Cleveland fans are some of if not the best and most loyal in the NFL...but those same fans are losing faith, hope, and patience! As for the stadium.....Haslam can buy and pay for that thing himself.....he just threw 200 plus million dollars at an absolute waste of a person who they thought...was a quarterback. And....the Browns knew the fricking details about this loser...and they still threw all that money at someone who had not played in years! THAT WAS STUPID! No matter who was behind it!
Maybe we need a new fricking owner who really cares about winning....like they have in Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Buffalo...etc. They have been given the benefit of the doubt all the way to now.....but this is like going back to the beginning. And Haslam has the nerve to ask the public to build a new house for this terrible prouduct that he wants us to support?
THAT'S PUTTING THE CART BEFORE THE HORSE!
Never thought ever in my life...67 years old and a Browns fan my entire life....did I think that I would think what I think about them and their owner, who has a coaching staff that is obviously over paid, under qualified, and has no clue how to maintain a competitive team year in and out. It can be done...and many teams do it. But......NOT THE BROWNS.
Maybe Haslam thinks if the House is NEW and better.....everybody will perform better? I wouldn't put it past him.....all previous decisions by him having to do with this team has been a colossal failure! And.....actually....quite stupid! He certainly has a business mind....but he stinks at football!
I don't believe Haslam has been behind every player/personnel decision, but every decision he has been involved with has had nothing to improving the team's chances at winning a championship and everything to do with trying to drum up support for the dome. Watson is a perfect example - let's bring in a guy from Georgia who played college at Clemson and spent his first 4 years in the NFL playing in a dome and give him $230M guaranteed. He'll thrive in warm weather/indoor games, but struggle when the temperature drops. So if we can shelter him from the elements, he and the offense we built around him will play so much better. Therefore we must build a $2.4 billion dome.
Of course this hasn't turned out the way Jimmy intended, but we're still pushing forward with the plan. Hence the idea to tank the next 2-3 seasons, let Garrett move on (doesn't want to be a part of a rebuild but can already see the writing on the wall), and hope we can somehow put a successful product on the field by 2028 despite only 2 winning seasons since Jimmy bought the team 12 years ago.
as a fan who grew up in ne ohio and moved away many years ago I see this team for what it is. no homer rose colored glasses. there is no way i would pay my hard earned money to go watch this team in person. haslam is an idiot and the browns will shoot themselves in the foot as long as he owns the team. pray that before i take a dirt nap this guy sells the team to another owner with half a brain.
A new dome is insanely expensive - for the most dysfunctional team in the NFL.
It's not for the team. It's so Jimmy can host non-football events year-round and make money since he'll have a monopoly on hotels, restaurants, parking, concessions, merchandise, etc. At least that's what he wants. We'll see how it all pans out. It is still Cleveland after all.
Jimma should Be in prison. But he is a wealthy donor to all people in charge.
My friend has season tickets upper level beside the flag. I paid $200 per seat. I have four seats I gave away for a Christmas present. I will never I mean never support this again. I’ve been a fan since 1986 and there’s no way I’m coming to another game. This Sunday is the last game that I’ll ever be at$800 worst Christmas present ever.
Does anyone have any solutions? All I hear is empty complaints.
Here’s the solution…
keep that loser team
in that loser city. CB
Continue to play in the current stadium.
Solution given.
@@matthewmoyer8771 Yes, keep the stadium for the poor as all the other teams upgrade. Got it.
I am a Browns Season Ticket Holder. I go to all the home games. I have had season tickets for 13 years. I have received very little for my investment. Out of them 13 years. They won 1 playoff game. 2020 the year they did not let anyone in the stadium. I have a great job. Their is no way I can afford $400 a ticket. I call bull shit on that waiting list number. In 13 years, I have offered many people the chance to go to games. I have never been offered a penny for a Browns Ticket.
Hell No ill watch at the bar lol😂
I still have my ticket for the 1964 Championship game. $6.00
That’s a lot of money to spend to see the browns to lose in person
I wouldn't buy season tickets if they were $50 a piece. No football team is worth this much. But hey, the Stockholm syndrome fans will still pay for it
Jmmy’s Super Bowl is building the Brook Park empire, not a trophy.
Who has that kind of money to spend on that and still be good financially? That is wild!
Pro sports priced themselves out of the working class a long time ago...this is just ridiculous! No taxes for stadiums...good luck on those tickets.
The law is simple and not debatable. Haslams have to offer team for sale for 6 months. If no one buys, they could then move. It's not debatable. Anyone who understands basic law and common sense knows this. Their attorneys are playing dumb and getting paid by billionaire. Haslams can't make Browns leave Cleveland. The law stopped a soccer team from leaving Columbus. Why can't our media report that Haslam is ignoring Ohio law? It's so ridiculous...the franchise is awful on field and now in a legal battle. Sell it. If by some way Haslam got his wish, the city should refuse the name to be transferred if they play in Brook Park. Let them be called Brook Park Browns and keep the stadium in Cleveland with hopes of a real NFL franchise coming to Cle running haslams out of town.
Ridiculous...What price did all these people hollering about a Dome Stadium thought it would cost? You want a "Rolls Royce" you will have to pay for it...Billionaire Jimmy needs you to help him!! Lol
The Browns raised the ticket prices 30% for the second half of the 2024 season, which they didn't tell you until you already paid for the first eight games! The ticket prices will probably be more expensive then they "leaked" and that doesn't include the NEW PSL (private seat license) one time cost the first year since the current PSL license doesn't transfer to the new stadium. I've been driving up with family on a 4 hour round road trip since 1999 to watch every Browns home game, but this was the last year we were paying for the insane ticket prices. You can buy a quality 85 inch TV right now for $1,500 or less. Much better investment.
anyone remember the Jurassic park scene where they are talking about prices.....
For next year and not the dome years.....that is bat shit crazy lol
Dome years.
All the Browns fans saying they aren’t going to be paying are so full of it. Y’all ain’t fooling anyone. You pay crazy prices now to watch garbage on the field now and you’ll pay for it at the new place too.
I’ll never pay to see browns play again ever again
Who's paying to build the stadium in the first place? Last I checked the old one still hasn't been paid for.
G is right. For many people, sports is an addiction.
I pay about 1500 now for my lower dawg pound so for the convenience of being in a dome and easier traffic/parking well worth the change
That doesn’t count your psl … that will probably be at least $6000 . I mean really if you’re willing to pay all that for a disgrace of a product that’s amazing lol
I’m done spending anymore money on the Browns until I see real changes in this dumpster fire organization. Jimmy won’t get another nickel from me.
So if they ever have a home playoff game (hasn’t happened in 30 years) a cheap seat for the game will probably be $6,000.
For the way this team has played since 99, this is massively overpriced and I hope no one pays.
Paid $1k for my seat in 512. They raise it more than 10%, I’m gone for good. Is this better than the Lerners?
Garbage is expensive these days.
That's not that bad lol. Lower Level Dawg Pound breaks down to like 150/game in a brand new stadium
How is a normal person supposed to afford that not including the license and feed their family
man I'm getting old, seems like yesterday Cleveland was getting a new team and stadium. The previous 70s cookie cutter style lasted 30 years, 2nd generation state of the art 20 years. Strange
I wish the team would leave town and never come back.
Cavs tickets look like a bargain comparatively speaking.
Thanks for sharing such valuable information! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
our taxs money is helping build it, WTF
Do they know where they’re at? Who’s going to buy these tickets?
I think Haslam should fold the doors and declare. Bankruptcy! Then take the time to Thank your GM for the Watson deal.
We wanted Modell out of town and we got our wish only to get absolutely shit on.
You’re better off just buying tickets when you want to go unless you want club seats. We sat next to a couple at a the ravens game who had season tickets. We paid $22 a piece for the tickets the day before. I know those were $110 a game season tickets prices they paid.
G says "football is a religion". He may have a point. After all, NFL games are primarily played on 'The Lord's Day'.
Da Sabbath, Yo! 🙏
More like a CULT
I guess I'll never see the Browns in person as long as I live 👎🏿
They’re going to have to draft Manning
If they were a nickel they be a dime to high it's no fun watching your team lose every week
Yeah yeah yeah lol yall been capping for 40 years.. yall easy money.. stop the cap
I guess if you're an average. Joe or Jane, you better go to the next Browns home game. While you can steal almost afford it
The way the team losing games paying high ticket prices!! Empty stadium 🏟 😂😂😂😂
If tax dollars are building a new stadium then why the raised prices for tickets
How about a team that wins year in and year out for the price of the ticket prices 😊😮

Are these PSLs or tickets?
Good question. I took the survey and there was no mention of PSLs so my assumption was its ticket price. But it’s unclear
On the survey I saw there was no mention of PSLs in the pricing. But I think we know how this will end up.
Shouldn’t you field a team that is top tier first.
Well if this is true this team will be sold to the highest bidder
G can’t even make it out of the ads without coughing on-mic. Scratch that. Maybe it’s Tyvus
football should not be played in domes.
The economy is only going to get worse. This is a poor investment
Browns better have won like 2 Super Bowls if Haslam is asking for that kind of pricing 🤢🤮🤮 Even his 1% friends ain’t gonna spend this kind of money for watching this garbage-run team unless they that rich plus extremely bored and want a laugh in their life 🤡
People will pay these prices. Online ticket brokers will snag the majority of the season tickets and sell them for profit - mainly to fans of opposing teams who have expendable income for travel and tickets. If this flops after the first year, the prices will adjust accordingly, but I think there will be enough rich snobs who are fans of visiting teams buy tickets to watch their team crush the Browns while they're being wined and dined in a comfortable climate controlled environment.
Glad I got Cavs season tickets the Browns prices are ridiculous
Time to repeal the sports broadcasting act of 1961. This allows professional sports to have monopolies. If it's repealed, NFL teams would be required to spin off assets. The NFL would more closely reflect college football. We would have 100 NFL teams instead of 32 teams. Share stadiums with colleges. Tax payers can afford going to games again.
The problem with that is two fold with the Browns: the structure of the current stadium is falling apart; the concrete is rotting from the inside out because of how it was built. And there's no college stadium in the Cleveland area that can handle a Browns game -- Kent and Akron aren't large enough and the HOF stadium is small in capacity.
@LoneWolfSparty If you repeal the sports broadcasting act, there will be no more need for billion dollar stadiums. NFL teams can partner with the largest local universities. College teams play on Saturday. NFL teams play on Sunday. Toledo, Dayton, and Columbus would likely all have new franchises. Two thirds of Browns fans now have local NFL teams. Stadiums only need large capacity for playoff games. Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State all have almost double the capacity of the largest NFL stadiums. Building costly NFL stadiums with 70 year payback periods are a complete waste of money.
@anti-validation there's no way they'd repeal that though. And in California it's illegal to ask taxpayers to fund stadiums, hence why Steve Ballmer spent his own money building the Intuit Dome.
@LoneWolfSparty The act was created because the NFL and college football were constantly fighting bankruptcy. If they're going to remain exempt from antitrust laws while making billions of dollars, then tax the crap out of them. Tax 80% of their revenue. They've revoked their tax exempt status. Repealing the law is up to the voters. If billionaires want tax payers to fund stadiums, we can end their legal monopolies.
Sounds like a plan!
Contract the league. The worst franchise in professional sports is a cancer on NE Ohio and deserves to go broke.
Quit guaranteed money. Make this qb prove himself first then go from there. Look what happened before, thats why were in this situation now.
Besides, whos going to want to play here anyway. Were a Black mark as it is in the nfl. Football isnt how it should be anymore, sad.
It's a little too soon to speculate about that. I'm sure it will be expensive.
"Stupid money"
LOL. Hahahaha. Um, no.
Nope! 👎 😫 🐶🏈
Geeze Tyvis, you having a stroke or something?
Hey, guys, spend all your money on fanduel, and then cry about buying a ticket.😅😅😅
If they don't put a super bowl winner out there on that field. With those crazy prices for a ticket. Nobody going to go out and pay for those tickets. But the really rich or well to do. But even then if you get stefansky and Barry doing the same crap. Which I knew this day was coming where they was going to have a sorry record. They lost their their bailout man. Nick Chubb and the offensive line coach Bill Callahan. As well as at least a decent quarterback and David. And now they have to really do some coaching and they can't and they can't do the GM work for the team. Any justice. The coaching staff is lame. Stefonski doesn't know that many great people who are great coaches. And coordinators. I mean he got doo doo offensive coordinator. Dorsey a throw away from Buffalo. If a playoff + super bowl contending team like Buffalo don't want him. Why does a trying to get there on that level and beyond team like the Cleveland Browns hire him?
Let's face it. Kevin stefonski doesn't have enough football buddies that our coaches and GM's. That are at a very high level who have won super bowls or had a constant playoff contending team. He just does it. Maybe it's his personality, his quiet demeanor. And maybe because he's still fairly young
But nobody going to pay for those tickets. So hopefully there's a lot of contest to win brown season tickets. Which back in the '90s? I won 2 years in a row season tickets for two. When the grocery chain? Finest had contest offering season tickets.
I think haslam may be in for a rude awakening once he move out to Brook Park. As far as ticket sales. You've got to have a super bowl contending team. In order to support those prices they want to see the Browns
Holy crap, I had long forgotten about Finest food stores!
Then don't go nobody is forcing you , there are people that will pay it and life will go on
Right on! And, I won't be one of them😉👍🏻

Jimmy can care less about winning at this point, as long as the dome gets built by 2029. Sure winning would help, but I honestly don't think it will make much difference. He's counting on fans of visiting teams to fill the void left by Browns fans who quit buying tickets for whatever reason.
