Having watched your video on the off chance that I may need to strip my engine one day you have taught me one vital thing, I certainly don’t want to do it after seeing the traps waiting for you in that little engine. I have just rewatched the mower strip down video again to pick up some welcome pointers and once again thanks for a great video.
It seems that many hands before haven't done a good job. Adjusting the main shaft, thats where the clutch sits on, the is a M6 slottet screw and a nut on the left side of the engine/transmission. In your main shaft there is a part missing which goes in the bore on the left side of the shaft the number is 261-05.217. Without adjusting the freeplay in axial direction of that shaft, your clutch will never work proper. May you will watch following videos to see how everything shold be put together: th-cam.com/video/imbXZYeqaM8/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/wmeOuL5kkHs/w-d-xo.html, how the main shaft is adjusted is pretty similar here: th-cam.com/video/1Gq9dy8JAJw/w-d-xo.html instead using shims you do the adjustment with that screw on the left side. Important: the cluth wheel is secured on the inner side of that bearing 16005 C3 towards gears
Hi, Thanks for reply, i will look at those and have a go. If not succesful, I may email you with a view to sending you the engine, depending on costs of course. I bought a donor engine from Holland so hopefully I will have all the correct bits to put it back together.
