What a healthy option and so quick to put together I’ve only had tofu maybe once and I just couldn’t get past the texture. Is there a certain kind of tofu that would be better? How did you prepare your tofu? 😊
Yes. And I totally understand. I used to despise it. Now I can’t get enough! Here are some things to consider: 1. I always recommend organic. 2. To start with, get either extra firm or firm. 3. Either buy a tofu press (Amazon) or create a makeshift one by removing the tofu from the package, draining it and putting it on a plate. Then put another plate on top of the tofu and then something heavy like a cast iron pot on the top plate. It’s a balancing act for sure. The water in the tofu will slowly be pressed out of the tofu into the plate it’s sitting on. You’ll have to drain the plate a few times so it doesn’t spill out into the counter. 4. Cut the tofu into cubes. Put in a bowl. Add some bbq sauce or soy sauce and sprinkle of cornstarch OR look up tofu marinades. 5. Bake for about 20ish minutes at 400 degrees. You can also airfry it.
