The legislators knew very well what they were doing when they gave the pharmaceutical companies a blank check. Pharmaceutical companies have been paying off our government for a very long time.

A friend of mine would drive all the way down to Tijuana Costco's to buy non-prescription inhalers for his Grandson that cost 4 to 5 times more than our local US Costco's

Posner's GREAT book "Case Closed" completely changed my mind about the JFK assassination, and then Bugliosi wrote a book backing up Posner's findings.
Posner's book "Case Closed" was garbage! He simply repeated the nonsense of the WCR. Bugliosi's book wasn't much better.

Govt price controls are never the answer. There are clearly changes that need to be made, but that's not one of them.
In France, medical care is almost free for everybody and we have one central institution managing the whole care system.
Price control is the very first thing the government is doing to allow citizens to access free care & tax payers to fund the health care system.
French authorities also choose what medical practices are allowed, according to science.

(the moral gravity that pulls down whatever is not buoyed up by faith).
They wouldn't be able to get away with these things if their patients would wake up for once.

I read a liberal thinktank's analysis of big pharma from years ago. It agreed that pharma companies spend too much on ads, but it also agreed that the companies needed U.S. prices to be nonnegotiable so that they could continue to operate, and the thinktank advised direct subsides to the pharma companies.

I was watching my children play many decades ago - - our son was four years old, our youngest daughter three years old.
Son asks daughter: Are you a girl? Because I am a boy.
I was sort of amazed by the conversation and asked our son: How do you know you are a boy?
His response was: Everyone tells me I am.
That conversation has lived with me almost sixty years. Now I am watching children being told by authority that they may be a boy, but they really are a girl - - and because the authorities are not at all about being proper (whether it is parents or it is the government schools and agencies)... they are not waiting for the children to declare themselves, they are assuming that none of those children know the "truth" about themselves. When our government enabled this mental abuse on children and abrogated the parental responsibility for themselves, I thought - - the revealing adult should start the treatment they are encouraging for a child.
Otherwise, all they are doing in grooming many children for sexual abuse.
This is a very dangerous outcome for tolerance for fornication and adultery - - the USA is in a very bad place. We WILL face a higher judge than any human on this planet.
So very informative and disheartening at the same time. Everyone should read his book.

One day all people will be aware that every industry, every institution and every government in the entire world is absolutely corrupted by the drive to make profits. One day we will all realize that money, and wealth are horrible and we will reject these concepts and go back to a way of life that isn't motivated by profit, but instead is motivated by the urge to make sure all the people's needs are met. In other words, eventually people will pursue a career because their community needs more Carpenters or tailors or engineers and no one will make money anymore because everyone is provided with basic needs just because it is better for society if we do that. The farmers will provide food to everyone in the community, the tailors will make clothes for everyone, the Carpenters will build the houses and everyone will share resources because everyone is better off that way.
