Giannis is revolutionizing the definition of Stat. this guy has countless stat records . He is generating a new era for big men to dominate from the paint, playmaking, defending, shooting from the midrange and drawing defenders all at once. Giannis normalizes stats that if they were put up in the 60's or 70's people would be calling you the goat.When it comes to stats in the nba, Giannis is up there with wilt,bron,mj and kobe, kareem. As tonight he joined wilt and kareem as the only players in nba history to get at least 40/10/5 on 85% shooting.
As stats goes, Kobe doesn't belong in the same sentence with those players. And I am a fan, started watching the NBA because of him

I am not saying that Anthony Davis is not a superstar player, but Giannis Antetokounmpo is a MVP caliber player who makes his team a contender for the NBA Finals championship every season.
If you don’t say it I will, AD is NOT a superstar player. He was *supposed* to be but he’s not.

I've been a Bucks fan since the season before he got drafted, when Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis were our star players. During his rookie season, I thought that he'd eventually be on par with KD. Never in my dreams did I think that he would even exceed that and be in the debate for the best PF in NBA history
"Be in debate" he's arguably the best already... He's far better than Dirk ever was. KG, Malone, Barkley. None of them are as good as Giannis. He's more complete than all of them, his peak is already better (and maybe he's not even at his best yet), his stats are on a tier of their own and one underrated fact about Giannis is that he plays ~30 minutes a night and still gets these monstrous performances. I think people still haven't realized how dominant Giannis REALLY is.
Really, Giannis just needs a bit more longevity and rings to be in GOAT discussion. The man already won 2 MVPs and 1 FMVP without a jump shot by age 27. Maybe, just maybe, he doesn't need one lol
ps: Tim Duncan was mostly a center but even in comparison to Tim Duncan, I also believe Giannis is better, just not greater (yet).
@@calamorta Giannis is a more developed Offensive Player and Playmaker, but Duncan's leadership and Defense (Especially Interior Defense) are still better than Giannis has achieved so far. Don't get me wrong, that can change but let's not forget the fact that Duncan is a top 10 player all time and the undisputed best PF ever.
you lying if you thought he was gone be KD..most people thought he would be a role player like a nic batum at best. I definitely saw the potential as most people did, but so many players in the league have great potential. And Giannis was so RAW coming into the league, his calling card was pretty much effort. But what separates Giannis from everyone else is his desire to be better and to win. I don't think anyone in the history of the league has seen a career arc as giannis'. Even Jordan as great as he was, we all knew he was going to be a great player when he came into the league. But giannis, literally coming into the league with no expectations, to now being considered as a goat..is remarkable. And he's only 27..lol..unbelieveable.
@@michaelhughes360 I'm being dead serious. I thought he'd develop more like KD because of how long and skinny he was and that his doctor was apparently expecting him to be 7'2. My friends pretty much didn't believe me. Everyone else counted him out, but I had my bets placed on him since day 1. Once he started playing PG and getting triple doubles in his third year, I knew the sky was the limit for him.

Giannis has made a huge leap this year in his offensive game. He has way more handles and dribble moves and his shot is completely changed and better. I'm a little shocked he's still improving.

You guys gotta understand that Giannis didn’t come up like the rest of superstars. No little league, junior league, school hoops, aau, all American, national tournaments, or college. He didn’t even pick up a basketball till 14-15 and was drafted at 18. He’s literally growing and developing before our eyes. That’s why there’s such leaps and bounds of improvement every year cause he’s literally still learning skills. He’s not even a close to a finished product and he’s already MIP, 2x MVP, 7x All-Star, DPOY, 6x All-NBA (including this year), 4x All-Defense, Finals MVP, and A NBA Champion at the age of 27. He won MIP in 2017 and has had one of the best individual 5 year stretches in NBA history. There’s still a whole level that he’s only beginning to tap into. Within the next 2 years he’ll be a finished and polished product, heading into his prime years of 29-30 and only then will people really see what he’s capable of. He has a HOF career at age 27 and he’s still raw. He shot 41% from midrange this year, improved his ball handling, court vision, IQ, off ball, pick n roll, and the shooting form has finally began to look good. He’s already an otherworldly defender and Over the next 2 years he’ll enter his prime and the aspects I just listed will be polished. He’ll master all 3 levels of scoring and the freakish athleticism isn’t what’ll impress anymore.
