Nora West-Allen and Barry Allen Similarities/Parallels -
[BONUS ones I forgot to add: Nora and Barry both saved everyone from a burning fire for the first time. Also, when they were kids, they went to the place where they're not supposed to. For example, when Barry was a kid, he went to Barry's dad in the police station, when his adoptive father (Joe West) told him not to. When Nora was a kid, she went to the Flash Museum, even though her mother (Iris West-Allen) told her not to. To add, they both have a drink of their superhero identities at CC Jitters.]
1. Their workday is the same.
2. They both research something a lot.
- Barry researches about his mom’s death.
- Nora researches about Cicada.
3. They both get struck by lightning.
4. They wake up after being struck by lightning.
5. They see things in slow motion for the first time.
6. They both run too fast that they run inside of a laundry truck.
- Barry runs into Gambi Cleaners.
- Nora runs into Gambi & Sons Cleaners.
7. Their hand shakes with the energy of the speedforce inside of them.
8. They decide to not tell Iris.
9. When someone dies that is close to them, they react the same way.
- When Lia dies, Nora runs up to Lia and keeps saying her name.
- When Barry’s dad dies, Barry runs up to his dad and says Dad many times.
10. They both meet Gideon and react the same way.
11. They both have a video message from each other, saying the same things.
12. They get to hug their parent that is dead in the future.
- Nora hugs her dad for the first time.
- Barry gets to hug his mom since a long time.
13. Nora and Barry both see Barry’s parents and react the same way, with the same expressions on their faces.
14. They get to have a meal with their parents in the past.
- Barry has lunch with his mom and dad.
- Nora has dinner with her mom and dad.
15. They both have a love interest.
- In her version of Flashpoint, Nora meets Spencer and gets called cute.
- In Flashpoint, Barry meets Iris and gets called cute.
16. They both meet their parents as an adult.
- Barry meets his mom in the past before she dies.
- Nora meets her parents in the past (long before her dad dies).
17. They both don’t trust someone.
- Nora doesn’t trust Thawne (Barry doesn’t either, which is a different parallel I didn’t add).
- Barry doesn’t trust Nora-and Nora is a lot like Thawne.
18. Nora and Barry both get erased from existence.
19. The article changed after someone close to them died.
- In the future, Iris is supposed to die, so the article changes.
- In the future, Barry dies, so an article is created after 25 years of his disappearance.
20. They both threaten to pull a “Reverse Flash” on Cisco.
- Reverse XS (or Evil Nora) threatens to hurt Cisco.
- Savitar (or Evil Barry) threatens to hurt Cisco.
21. They both save someone by shooting lightning in their body.
- Nora saves Barry.
- Barry saves Cisco.
22. For the first time, they both change time and have an episode of time change craziness.
- Barry goes back in time and redos his day over.
- Nora goes back in time and redos her day over again.
23. One of their parents both died.
- Barry’s mom died.
- Nora dad vanished (and died supposedly).
24. They both get their back broken by a villain.
- Zoom breaks Barry’s back.
Cicada breaks Nora’s back.
25. They both can’t feel their legs after they get their back broken.
26. They both get better and get encouraged by their parent.
- Barry gets better and hugs his dad.
- Nora gets better and hugs her mom.

They were also both trained by thawne,who also lied to them both
But the difference is Nora knew he was a bad guy but still worked with him. But Barry didnt know he was a bad guy so it wasnt his fault. Nora is the only one at fault out of both of them for working with him

To be honest the best flash episode was a filler episode and its Out of Time 01x15 that episode is so good

Anyone else a little annoyed that we never saw him do forensic work like in the first episode again? They kinda moved away from that. I liked how they edited it. It was like Sherlock.
How were people confusing it as power when they knew what Sherlock was doing?
I think they did it exactly for that reason it was too similar to Sherlock and didn’t want to get sued

Another parallel for #22 is they try to change the timeline when someone they love dies:
-barry to save his mom
-nora to try to keep anyone on team flash from dying
And another one: they learn the hard way that time traveling to fix things doesn't work:
-jay garrick uses a chipped mug to explain this to barry; barry uses the same example with nora.
-Jay tells barry he has to live with the consequences, barry tells nora the same thing.

Did anyone notice the fact that both Barry and Nora crashed into trucks of the same company. They are so alike it's like a heartbreak to know that she had to travel to the past to meet her own father
i mean barry used his eyes, nora used a portable super computer... i mean there is certainly a parallel but there is definitely a skill gap

It’s funny, as the series goes on Barry become a less competent CSI on his own and just relies on Caitlyn and Cisco. It’s sad. Especially with how quickly they do the Sherlock Scan to show how talented of a CSI he actually is.

Anyone else notice that technically someone knows that barry is the flash it's the cleaner that is loading the laundry or whatever he may not know his name but he knows what he looks like under the mask
I think there’s also a lot of similarities between Nora and Thawne: Manipulating the timeline, using negative speedforce, both hating flash at some point, both wanting to be the flash at some point, both getting erased from existence, both trying to trap people chasing them or outmaneuver them (Eobard escaping flash, Nora trapping and escaping Godspeed, etc.) and more
Nora doesn’t travel back in time, she reverses it
Have You Noticed that Barry Allen was looking through his mother's case and Nora was working on a case of Cicada The Point is Barry And Nora were working in that lab working on a case that wasn't solved and When They Met Gideon When She Said Barry Allen Barry Said You Know who I am Nora said that too. When they met Thawne They Both Trusted Him at the end they find out he killed Barry's Mother / Nora Allen Father Luke Daughter.
I was so happy when she came back in season 7. Even though she’s a little bit different, she is what made season 5 good

Flash family (Specifically Barry and Nora) is what made season 5 so special for me. I was never close like that with my dad (I'm also a girl), so to see that it made me so happy. I've just reached the second half of season 6, and I've seen on my YT recommended THAT FLASH FAMILY RETURNS IN SEASON 7, SO WHOOO LET'S GO. Flash family, and fluffy Bat-Family is my entire reason to exist. So, yeah.

…no, they literally show in s3 that the time loop (created by Flashpoint) changes Iris’s name in the byline to “Julie Greer”. The name only becomes “Iris West-Allen” again after they change Iris’s fate

In S2 when Zoom takes Caitlin, the doorway Cisco runs to is open. But in S5 when they go back in time, that door is closed, making it to where Cisco cannot see future Barey and Nora.
