This was basically Tuomas and the rest of the NW guys 'F U' to Tarja's husband, Marcelo. It's part of the trilogy of songs on this album that deal with the fall-out from Tarja's dismissal (the others being Poet And The Pendulum and Bye Bye Beautiful). And yeah, it's heavy as f***! It's one of my favourites from a fantastic album. It's never been performed live and never will.
If one song shows Tuomas' genius it is this song. Jukka trying to kill his drum set, Marco spitting lyrics Emppu putting out dark angry riffs and even the keyboard sounds angry. It's pure rage made into one helluva masterpiece of music. Definitely one of my favorites🤘🏽
Absolutely Raven! I’ve been wanting something hard from them and this is it! I asked Sue several times if she was sure this was NightWish but Marko’s vocals are unmistakable. It’s totally my favorite at this moment!! I need more-Wolfman 🐺

So much anger that Nightwish wrote death metal. The band is not in this place and have not been in a long time. I don't think they are really proud of this song, or more accurately, I think they are a little ashamed that they had so much pent up angst. This song was cathartic, and once released those feeling and thoughts were released, and dissipated.
Oh, this wonderful piece of art with such beautiful, poetic lyrics, so ambiguous and open to interpretation. Tuomas and Marco expressing their eternal love and admiration for a certain person. You felt it, you sure did. F*k yeah. Love this song.
I can't recall where you mentioned an instrumental version would be good, but I replied there was an instrumental disc of the album. It arrived today so I'll be playing it later. You need to react to some of Tarja's solo stuff because she answers some of these songs. "Enough", "Until my last Breath" and "Diva". As always there are two sides to every story and somewhere in the middle lies the truth.
They left Anette out from this mocking song. Boys really feel that Marcelo was the main reason to change Tarja and finally diverge the ways since elementary school up to 2005 after End of an Era (next day after the concert ended).
