What are your thoughts on Patrick Mahomes' contract with the Chiefs?
Totally worth it
Too much money. Chiefs won’t be able to resign key players like tyreek and Travis Kelce and other players like Chris Jones. Patrick Mahomes won’t be able to produce the same when his team won’t have the greatest weapons. However patty Mahomes is a great quarterback and deserved this contract.
We will have to see once it’s all said and done honestly
I'm so confused I thought Cowherd was against over paying QBs like Cousins and now he says they are all worth.
He just won the Super Bowl so if anybody deserves that money it is him. But, I wonder what kind of incentive is left for him to work hard and improve..

Exactly what I said
Maybe once Kirk cousins can beat a team over 500 consistently he wouldn’t be a joke
New Normal World Order As a Vikings fan, I will inform you that we have made sure that the next pay raise he gets is when he puts a Lombardi on our doorstep.
Blaine Carter so we are forgetting about their win in the superdome ok
All QBs are worth their money apart from Cam and Dak-- Colin

Colin literally compared having children to have DUI's. LOL
They both lose you money
no kids but can confirm DUIs cost a pretty penny
I have three kids both are financially depleting
His analogy is a smack in the face to parents with a child with a mental/physical disability ijs.
@@jaygr81ne we better call the youtube police. Someone forgot to mention every child disability known to man. Clearly it was a generalized blanket statement.
‘two DUI’s you’re an alcoholic’ 😂
Colin: trashes the Green Bay Defense
Also Colin: praises Matthew Stafford because he plays well against the Green Bay Defense
I think the argument is that Stafford leads the Lions against the Packers D almost as well as Rodgers leads the Packers offense against the Lions D. Which is fair, the Packers D is usually pretty below average but the Lions D is generally horrid.
Thay allow you to think with that logic?
Pretty sure the idea isn't that it's the Packer's D, but rather that you're facing Aron Rodgers.
Matthew "can never win the division" Stafford. Trubisky won the division before Stafford did and he just lost his job to a career back up.
Andrew Flynn now look at Staffords record vs the Packers when Rodgers plays. Not great chief
"They eat alot in Philly" LOL
We do.
He's not wrong
I got a question for y’all philly fans. Do y’all eat Philly cheesesteaks watching the eagles play
I've been to Philly...this is SO TRUE.

Colin on Twitter yesterday: I don't want to talk about Mahomes contract.
Producers: oh bet?

Dak Prescott is going to want 20 years $1.1billion now 😂
Dallas waiter wayyy too long. Should’ve signed him last when he wanted 30mil
MrOshea81 Dallas has no issues in my eyes. Dak ain’t worth that type of money. I’d let him walk after this franchise tag
Gee Andrezzi you must not understand in 2 years $40M a year is gonna be child’s play. Let me ask you something where were you when Tannehill signed a $118M contract for playing 2 playoff snaps his whole career?? Cousins, romo, Wentz, were they worth all that money?? But no one bats an eye. But Dak been playing on a weak as deal for 4 seasons. And you saying he not worth $39-40M a year for 4 years?? Not 5-10 years only 4. Name the QB other than Tom Brady that wasn’t a 1st pick and did anywhere near what Dak did.....
LeVelle Coley no cousins wasn’t worth the money he signed for. Wentz (when healthy) is worth the money. And Romo? The reason Jerry Jones ain’t paying Dak whatever he wants is because of Romo. Romo for years didn’t lead his team to anything worthy of the money he was paid, despite having a GREAT TEAM around him. Dak is in the same situation right now, I’m not paying Dak top dollar and he can’t even win more than 1 playoff game with a superstar roster around him. GTFOH
Gee Andrezzi that’s not even top dollar anymore and you and everyone else don’t understand that 😂 when Russell Wilson comes due again $45-50 a year is top dollar 😂😂 so Dak would be paid where he should be. $36-40M but you’re too blind to see. What about Lamar Jackson? Dak won rookie of the year too, led his team to the playoffs too his first year like Lamar Jackson, he won no super bowl, when it’s time to pay up, $35-40M is going to be for average QBs then. Do you understand how it works now? Dak will be and is worth any $M between $36-40M. Because in 2 years out that 4 year deal he wants all these star QBs will be getting the real top dollars. Then the $40M is an after thought. Think about it.
“The super bowl is wildly random”
Um. So since 2003, there have been 2 Super Bowls that did NOT feature Brady, Manning, or Big Ben.
Super Bowl is wildly random.... for the NFC 😂
Okay so the NFC is wildly random.
Big Ben got incredible team, manning as well, Brady is the only one who reached the super bowl with a poor roster. Not every time but the last ones
@@jamesbarnett527 yeah but brady won with patterson, hogan edelman combo one of the weakest in sbs
@@jamesbarnett527 No. Patriots have historically bad defenses. Until recently. You don't know what you're talking about
"you can't overpay quarterbacks"
5 minutes later: "Dan Marino didn't win a SB because of the players around him, you need people around you."
So was e overpaid?
Yeah, collin just said something incoherent to something he said before
Thank you.
Well how do you explain Mahomes only literally having Kelce. A great player makes the players around him great.

He’s just doing his best not to get cancelled. As a middle aged white guy if he has one slip up his career is over
“Mahomes and the chiefs will be married for a long time........not getting a divorce......marriage......Silicon Valley best deal ever” Colin probably during this segment
Mahomes deserves every penny. Saved a franchise that was viewed as “chokers” or “regular season team” and turned them into a potential dynasty. Chiefs fans have waited 50 years for a title and he carried them to it. He is not just the heart and soul of the team but the fans as well who bring in the money. He’s a winner, he’s amazing and he’s a great kid. Guy deserves it.
And another Super Bowl win. Deserves 100million more for what he’s done for our city.
Collins famous quote “ having one kid is like having a baked potato that sometimes cries “
Colin one day: Arron Rodgers only won 1 SB. He was wasted
Colin another day: Arron Rodgers won a SB and it’s really hard to do
These are both true. GBs organization sucks.
Well Rodgers was wasted he should have won more. It’s still hard to win a Super Bowl. These arnt contradicting statements
Because it’s hard to win one, but Aaron could have won more if the Packers did it right. What’s hard to get about that?
Kirk Cousins never got the Vikings a home playoff game
Matthew D beat the saints in their “Superdome” on prime time TV though
I was going to write this comment
Kenny I the point is he got them ‘a home game’ which makes more money for the franchise because they can sell tickets and blah blah. Which is wrong
Kenny I I don’t know why you put Superdome like that’s not the name of the stadium.
811chelseafc I think he is trying to say that the “superdome” isn’t so “super”
Colin “theyve never won a playoff game” Cowherd
Does he not know that in baseball you often only have 3 at bats out of 30? And they don’t pitch?

DeSean Watson could be signed to a 10 year contract. Its Bill Obrien, anything could happen.
Its so true. Watson could get a 10 year deal, or get traded to the Jaguars for a 6th rd pick. Both are in the realm of possibility
No one break it to Colin that Messi makes around $120M/year from his contract alone
But soccer doesn’t have a cap limit to what they can pay players. So he’s always gonna make more. That’s why Floyd can make 250 for one fight
bring back analogy Colin.. that’s what we love!!😂😂
this was one of his funniest rants🤣🤣
This „enjoy the moment“ bit really got to me and I’m thankful for that, we shouldn’t forget that the world is chaotic and we should enjoy every break we can get

Colin always has the best perspective on the NFL. Great job as usual!
this video was a wild ride
Colin knows that Wentz can barely make it to October every year without being on a stretcher..
He’s missed 8 games in 4 years chill out
Carlos Rojas just the 8 most important ones.. barely made it to the play offs in the same Division as the Redskins and giant.. but yeah the dudes elite
Black Beard had zero wide receivers and beat the bills and bears which the cowboys failed to do even though the cowboys have a way better receiving group and RB, also he beta the cowboys when the team needed it most, was probably the mvp front runner the year they went to the super bowl and he got hurt
And still throwing TDs
Lol 15 seconds in and I’m screaming JOE FLACCO!! Wasn’t worth it, there’s like 10 other examples. So dumb
Colin says some of the most senseless and unthoughtful things i just keep coming back.
great point about what if Indy and NE were still in the same division

Colin " Mahomes pockets just got Thicc & trunky" Cowherd
I was on shrooms and I still couldn’t get Colin to smile.
People expect a win every single game from Jared Goff. His W/L is double positive and people still complain.
Thank you fellow Ram Fan We just need an offensive line
Give goff time and he will be back on top. Remember he was getting mvp votes during the superbowl run.
Coming from a falcon fan Jared Goff not a top ten qb. But he good enough to win a Super Bowl . If rams stupidly listen to media an fire coach Mcbay he will be stifled .
Is it because of him or his great coach (McVay) and roster he had around him? Same with Jimmy G. Their coaches are among the best in the league and if you look how much Cam Newton, Jamis Winston, Andy Dalton, Marcus Mariota andTeddy Bridgewater, Tyrod Taylor and Case Keenum make you have to question if they earn significant more money because they are that much better at playing QB or got lucky to end up in the situation they are in.
Goff is worst QB in his own division.
0:03 Dak Prescott. You were dead serious. What has he done since his rookie year?
Comparing how much a team makes to how much a player makes doesn't make sense. Player contracts are graded on % of salary cap. Raiders and Cowboys have the same salary cap.
Green bay has never given Rodgers a good defense
2 minutes later Matthew Stafford threw for 34 tds against green bay defenses. He's great
When Colin looks things up in the mornings you know we in trouble!
Can somebody put all Colin's analogies on life, kids, and marriage in a video? I will definitely pay to watch it. Lol
“Green Bay has only given Rodgers a real defense once.”

This show is so good
U had me until 2 duis Colin...I felt that lol
The last time a team won a Super Bowl with a highly paid quarterback was the Saints in 09-10, and Drew Brees was in his fifth year of a 6 year contract that he signed in Free Agency. The other time that a Quarterback was a top 5 paid player and won a Super Bowl was John Elway in 1999. Go down the list of Super Bowl Winners, it doesn't happen often.

If you're goal is to win games and get to the playoffs, yes paying a Quarterback top 10 money is worth it. If you're goal is to win Super Bowls, CLEARLY it seems that the best way to do that is by paying you Quarterback less money. Mahomes will have two windows to win Super Bowls with his contract, the next 2 years and the last 2-3 years. The Chiefs have the pieces to win now, but they'll lose those in a year or two. Until the Salary Cap catches up with the contract in years 8, 9, and 10 they wont have the money to reload those pieces.
Colin said deck furniture wow
I'm glad he mentioned Jimmy G
Observation: I like the argument/topics that Colin brings up, the points he uses to make his cases are more often highly flawed
The point about Mike Trout's contract makes no sense.
SMH
Exactly they have no cap
@@Ah-ws9nm Well that and players can only add so much to their team's win. Trout is one position in the outfield. He is one bat in the lineup. He can hit 4 home runs a night, and if the Angels give up 5 runs, they lose.
QBs aren't the whole team, but they are at least on the field for every offensive play. It's so hard to compare baseball and football contracts.
Jacob Yup. That’s why Aaron Rogers can’t win. Doesn’t matter how good you are if you play a team sport. You gotta have the pieces.
Colin looked it up this morning.
I agree. It's IMPROBABLE to draft or sign a young/promising QB with the dual responsibility of playing above average AND also garner public interest (i.e. ticket sales).
about to have my second kid... thanks colin for the encouragement
Pete Boraso...He kinda has a point. Congratulations are in order.😊

He not lying!

I think Colin looked it up this morning..
Colin “ Im not on Russell Wilson’s stick but I’m gaggling his sac “ Cowherd
So if Mahomes is getting 45 a year and the salary cap is 180 he is getting 25% of the cap and the cap is expected to be 300 million in 2030 so in 2030 a star qb is supposed to get 75 million dollars a year ?
Listening to sources break down his contract he took a team friendly contract like he said he would as so to keep his players on the team his contract is only 31 percent guaranteed
"Cousins is 18-12" yeah that's good, but Trubisky is 19-11 in his last 30 games. By that logic the bears should sign him for 30+MIL. COME ON!
Cousins also completes around 70% of his passes. He is a good QB.
Colin “I looked it up this morning” Cowherd
Since when do players not compare contracts for negotiating?
My man has NO CLUE how good Mike Trout is
Baseball vs football contracts conversations are like apples and oranges. Trout comes to the plate say 4 times a game. He hits 4 bombs for the sake of argument, incredible night. He scores 4 RBI with no one on. Trout catches every ball and saves a HR in CF. The Angels pitching staff then gives up 6 runs to home runs, base hits, and maybe an error.
At least in football the QB is there for every offensive drive. You could argue that the QB position in the NFL should be worth more than an MLB contract perhaps, but to say one player is not worth that money when baseball bleeds money is silly to me. It's pretty apples and oranges.
As a Cowboys fan, this contract shouldn't effect Dak's contract at all. There is no comparison between the two. Mahomes is the best QB in the league and just won a Superbowl. I'm pretty confident that Pat, with Dallas' offense, would go undefeated next season. Even if their defense is mediocre. The kid is that great, and deserves his payday.
No one else caught the wrong LA logo for Goff?
Deck furniture!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I live this show
Supply and demand. You can find a dak over the life of a rookie contract, you can't find a mahomes.
Colin "2 airplane crashes is crazy" Cowherd XD
Boy it’s gonna be real awkward for the huge Mahomes hype train if he snaps he knee within the next 2 years and by 2024 he’s the next RG3 and the chiefs have $400 million in dead money lol

Collin “I looked it up this morning” Cowherd
Funny take after a few years have passed. Super Bowls are HARD to get back to. 7 months later, he's back, but loses. 24 months after that, wins his 2nd. 12 months later wins his third. Somehow not looking so hard after all.
Hey Colin quick question what was Carson Wentz throwing to in that four-game stretch last December? I have no idea
“Having one kid is barely parenting. It’s like having a baked potato that occasionally cries.” Tell my cousin that. 😂
Colin: Mahomes was one coin flip away from going to two Super Bowls in his first two years and I think he would have won against the Rams. Later: I'm taking the under on Mahomes winning 1 and a half SBs.
