Hey my buddy from up there recognizes a lot of the spots in your videos. Thanks for teaching me how to fish for them & where to fish for them. Had no idea how to fish for them till you taught me. Hope you have good fishing
Just found your channel and really like it. Good style and very helpful info. I'm an upstate NY angler. Also at 58 I've adapted to using readers. It's worth it cause your frustrations go way down (except when you can't find them, then it goes way up) lol
Awesome video. glad you’re back making videos. For the fisherman leaving in the Racine, Milwaukee area or fishermen traveling to the area Rodger at R&R sporting goods has everything you seen in this vid including Lamaglass steelhead rods.
Eric... you rock! I rarely buy TH-cam sponsored product but my brother suggested that my mom get me a Haat-rod for Christmas and I absolutely love it! Keep up the good work man! You find yourself out on lake Champlain and want some sweet accommodations (private island) hit me up man!!! Cheers!
I know this comment is from awhile ago, but wanna help people get fishing if I can. From my knowledge, I believe the other guy is correct. It should be part of the Menomonee River that goes under 94, (comparing the 3 bridges here to satellite view). Hank Aaron State Trail runs directly parallel to it
The mother river of these fish just closed for the season that was to start the next day.The rivers around closed the next week later.Lack of fish due to tribal nets to recreational and commercial fishing.Might hafto move Or ask those hatcherys to fly out to the west coast.aloha Kele da coconut 17:34
Thank you so much for this video..I am just starting out fishing for these beautiful fish and you helped me out a ton in this video...any particular landing net you would recommend? Thanks
Great tips and tricks for winter steelheading. Love the way you explained everything from line, to float and baits. Love fishing deeper slower pools, those where the fish will be. Talk less and stare at the float more. LOL. Good point Eric. Rob comes in and get one on the first drift, that is so cool. I run a centrepin for my steelhead and brown trout tributary fishing. Love the colours on those males , they are beautiful. I also enjoyed the tips to fish handling, keeping them in the water and using a net. Great advice Eric. Loved the video, keep them coming.
Are you basically guessing how deep a hole is to determine the distance between the float and spawn sac? Does it matter if the spawn sac is dragging or does it need to be off the river bed? Nice catches!
Next year let me join up with you for 39 hours Alex has a bad fishing attitude this year you keep trying to bring him up but he is not doing your team any good keep up the good work bro love the video
Nice video. I've never fished that way before, but after watching this I could go out and try it now... maybe I'll hit the north shore (superior) one day and get the meatdown beatdown smackdown crackdown going!
Eric, really like your videos. I’m from the west coast originally. Used to fish the Rogue and Applegate rivers in southern Oregon and the Scoochumchuck river in Washington state. I really did not know that this type of fishing was available to me. I live in Appleton now so I’m really excited to drive down to Milwaukee or up to Marinette to fish. Are there any other rivers that you would recommend?
MrQuigley41 Sheboygan is probably the best river in the state, twin rivers, and any other river that dumps into Lake Michigan will get a spring run of steelhead starting in March.
Love seeing you keep em wet I’m a fly fisherman who’s moving out there soon for tech school we’ll have to meet up so you can show me where to exercise my 6 weight Spey rod
"Well theres your first tangle of the day..." *Puts nasty scent juice right in hand* - "Oh that made a lot of sense for a how-to video" Im dying xD LOL thanks for the laugh More steelhead videos!!! Thanks Eric!

I think the bright yellow coat is a negative to spooky fish … do you use float reels down there? They might be more effective… beautiful river
Eric, may I ask what river graffiti alley is on? Like you, I love taking my boys out to fish trout every chance I get! Thanks!
Hey! I had the same question. I also am trying to catch these fish, i think graffiti alley is menominee river by miller park

Yes since most of our tribs are 4-8 feet at max depth in holes you just have to play with your depths.
Next year let me join up with you for 39 hours Alex has a bad fishing attitude this year you keep trying to bring him up but he is not doing your team any good keep up the good work bro love the video

Where did you hook up with that nice hen? Was that upstream or down from where you started the video off?
If you know what river it is, go explore.

I don’t know dude uncured frozen egg tied in your bed using braid 👎😱
If not keeping and releasing tail the fish with a glove don't use the net.
If it doesn’t come from the salt it ain’t a steelhead.
