"Multiverse" keeps being used, but Multiverse is multiple universes, not timelines, Loki deals with timelines, not different universes, so is "Multiverse" being used to refer to timelines, unlike the Arrowverse where's it's used for different universes? Or could Doctor Strange 2 actually be revealing different universes as opposed to timelines like in Loki?
@@ivansoto9451 I think that Marvel is doing both. What If will explore some of the branches in the MCU timeline which is why the characters involved look like the MCU we know. And Doctor Strange 2 may deal with other universes where characters and entire storylines/origins are different.
@Ivan Soto for the quantun phisics, chaging something during a timetravel, creates another universe, equal but different from that point on. Many of these mcu timetravels and the rappresentation of the universea on top of each others takes this teories. So at the end an alternative timeline is another universe very similar to his original while there are infinite amount of universe that could be very different in time and in the law of phisic. There is a very good video on wired of a teorical phisic reacting to the mcu and explaining what could be possible. The video isn't about the Loki finale but speaks about all the mcu and the tva introduced in loki

Well that would make the movie far more interesting if that was the case. The only thing that concerns me is that Eternals was supposed to come out before Loki and it was only cause of covid that it got pushed back. So idk about that unless they managed to do some reshoots and tie it in or maybe the film was suppose to be the first hint at Kang! Who Knows!?

@@eujinkang5526 I read a comment somewhere, and it's not what I think is going on but it does make me wonder. Kang went back in time to start the TVA. We don't know when, but it was in the past sometime. And since he started it when there was only one timeline, that was the sole TVA. But now there are multiple timelines with multiple Kang's. Does that mean multiple Kang's created their own TVA? Is there still only one TVA? Yeah it exists outside of time, but that doesn't mean there's only the one.
For myself, the Mobius and B15 we see the moment the timeline is splitting and that Loki runs into are so different I don't think it's the same one's not just a memory wipe. But it could honestly be anything; I think the point of the ending is that all options are on the table now.

I think MCU fans are going to love Jonathan Majors’ ‘Kang’ as much as they loved Brolin’s ‘Thanos’. I’m pretty confident about that, can’t wait to see more…

Sylvie was such a tragic character. In the end she couldn't let go of her distrust and lust for revenge. That's way sadder than Wanda.
Sylvie and Wanda have similar storylines in a way - Wanda was unable to let go of her grief, Sylvie couldn't give up her desire for revenge - so their actions ended up fracturing the reality of their existence.
B-15 said It best she needed to see the person in charge die. How dare Loki have such good character development and care about the timeline.
And nobody in the MCU will ever know that it was 2012 Loki that stood between Sylvie and the fate of the multiverse.
That's why He Who Remains needed her to be there. Because SHE was the only Loki who would've been vengeful enough to actually kill him. It's the only way for him to escape the Hell he's trapped himself in. Monitoring the Sacred Timeline "for all time. Always". Now he is free. Once she called him a liar, he no longer could see the future because his timeline was coming to an end. She was dead set on killing him regardless of the consequences.
Can you blame her for not trusting the least trustworthy person in the MCU?
I think that Kang didn’t say his name, because that isn’t Kang the Connqueror, it’s just the Nathan Richards who survived. He’s like a Loki, he’s a survivor. But Sylvia opened the gates, so now one, or more, of the more dangerous variants will be Kangs.
Its Immortus. He spoke about Nathanial Richards as a different person. He said "my variant from the 31st century discovered this etc".
In the comics, Immortus was from a different timeline in the 30th century where there was no Dark Ages, while Nathanial Richards (scientist) was a time traveler from Earth-616. In this MCU story. Immortus was the one who remained after the Multiversal war so Miss Minutes called him "He Who Remains" (which in the comics was a totally different character but whatever)

One of the few times comic fans can actually revel in knowing the importance of this episode. Normies have been having mixed reactions and rightfully so, but my god, what an episode. I’d rank the entire Loki series up there with Black Panther, Winter Soldier, Infinity War, Endgame and Ragnarok as some of the best MCU content we’ve ever received.

Yes. Hector has some solid arguments and concerns that should be discussed. Marvel has done incredibly well in the casting department and the new inclusions to the MCU deserves to stand on their own merit.
Yup, Deadpook is fine cause he is already meta, but xmen should just come out of the shadows, after all the heroes appear everywhere across the earth they will think no one will attack them but they will still be treated differently, thats the whole thing with xmen after all. People expect there to be some sort of explanationn why they didnt help against thanos, but im honestly fine with them staying hidden, strange not alarming them as he didnt knew about them at the time. They can still help in the future against Kang, Doom, Sentry. And Magneto coming out, adding to Scarlet Witch pain of loosing family may be the very thing that causes her to create House of M. Then when she sees Magneto is truly evil and he just abandonned her in Sokovia to foster family - she will feel betrayed by mutants and may say - "No more mutants" just as in comics. What better to start off first xmen movie than with them being just few looking for survivors of House of M?

Um, I think that Kang lied (again) when he said he didn't know what would happen after they crossed 'The Threshold'. I mean, he sent those files to Ravonna, and very deliberately pushed his master TemPad out to the edge of his desk RIGHT WHERE SYLVIE WOULD GRAB IT. So I think he KNEW that they wouldn't choose option two and that Sylvie WOULD kill him.
Also, Kang didn't "wipe their memories", this is a VARIANT TVA.
He knew he was about to die, the ancient one talks about seeing everything but not past this point, referring to their death. Visually we already see the timeline branching before it happens as a tee up but yeah.
Imagine He Who Remains dies and says “see you soon”
THEN CUT TO SEASON 2 OF LOKI
A few moments later, Sylvie hears the door open and turns and sees Kang The Conquer opening the door and saying “hello Sylvie, miss me?”

I can't believe so many viewers were expecting to see Kang in this show as this big, towering, god-like being, with a booming voice and lighting cracking behind him. Like you said, we got little drips and drabs of Thanos over the course of 6 years. This was just a soupçon, a hint, a trace of what we can expect from Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror.
This was the good kang, the kang that kept the evil kang’s from breeching out and causing chaos and Sylvie just fucked it up

So I just finished marathoning your reactions to WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki. No lie, there's at least once every episode where I think Adam's camera is frozen because he's in such shock he can't move. SO funny!
BTW I think Sylvie's nexus event was that she was going to he a hero. When she was playing with her toys, she was pretending to save Asgard.
First it was WandaVision's "Stoneless Vision" moment, now Miss Minutes' "Hey Y'all" bit in this. Kinda seems like Marvel's getting us used to jump scares ahead of "Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness".

When you talk about making a STATEMENT in a season finale, that’s how you do it! With that being said, Loki’s growth through just 6 episodes was remarkable and he was able to learn that he doesn’t have to do things on his own. For the first time, he was actually trying to be the HERO by stopping Sylvie from making a mistake. On that note, ‘He Who Remains’ was so slick that I think he led them there for a reason and he was able to persuade Sylvie to unleash him and now this is a perfect setup for Multiverse of Madness and Quantumania. I have never seen Loki so terrified than he was at the very end and I’m glad he’s coming back for another season!
I can't wait to look back at Kang 5 years from now and think..... *wild*
This episode was a master class in how to introduce a new villain. That performance and the writing was just incredible.

Their memories didn't get wiped. The reality diverged creating branches in it and now they are crashing upon one another creating new realises, as a result, the TVA and everything as we know it, changed. That is exactly how Wanda got to hear her sons in WandaVision in the end, because that happened exactly at this moment and she could hear an alternate reality version of her sons who are real somewhere else.

The branches started once “He Who Remains” no longer knew what would happen next. My assumption is that when Sylvie sent him to the TVA he landed in a different one.
There’s only one tva it exists outside of time, all the Loki’s from different timelines ended up there. The other kang probably made his move as soon as the timeline started to branch when they were fighting and wiped all the minds in the tva
Remember at the end of endgame where Tony prerecorded himself? What if they find more recordings of him talking about how he met or seen Kang while going back and fourth through time but didn't want to say anything during the battle with Thanos! I mean he did say something about messing with time, tends to mess back! 🤯🤯
clearly Loki wasn't right to full-stop believe him and Sylvie wasn't right to only want vengeance so there has to be another way to resolve everything (something something power of love and self-acceptance rather than continuing to sell yourself short / self-sabatoge (literally fighting yourself)). hope they get together for good in season 2!

Okay…I want y’all to know that I really love your reactions, I very much appreciate the commentary and level of comic-knowledge and attention that goes into them, but…and I’ve thought this for awhile…but Adam is so handsome. Just, very, very handsome and charming.

There’s another thing to think of with the multiverse: just like when they did those upside down camera turn shots at the beginning of episode 5...while WE (and Loki) knew that worlds were shattered behind the scenes, the people in the TVA were just going about as business as usual. So multiverse stuff won’t probably be noticed by the average person or character - they are just living their lives out. It will be us (the viewers) and only characters who have a larger view who might notice a “difference” unless some variant stuff interacts with them. If that makes sense. So we could have multiple stories about multiple characters that don’t freak the character out (because they don’t know any different - like Mobius and B-15 at the end) and only WE would be going, “Oh! Look! It’s [insert a new character from the comics here] - we wouldn’t have gotten this character in the MCU in the “normal” timeline. This is like the Comic Nerd Heaven - they could potentially get tons of different cool stories about different cool timelines without it “destroying” what we knew before. It’s a cool way to reboot everything (i.e. following other characters and not just the OG Avengers) yet still have the original as well.
Jonathan Majors totally made the episode for me! I feel like the show lost sight of Loki near the very end which is kind of unfortunate, but it made for a badass setup for the future.
Shang chi is definitely pre Loki. Also we need Tom Hiddleston to remain in the MCU. Someway somehow.

I think that the moment the timeline branches and the multiverse is opened once again is the same moment that Wanda hears her children calling out to her from the end of WandaVision, which sets Wanda on her path that will be continued in MoM.

Oh for sure. I'm one to believe that what sylvie did is at a point where there's no particular time. So when that happened wanda was already fucking around with the darkhold and she heard variants of her children, which will eventually lead to her trying to bring them back to her timeline, fucking shit up even further. Doctor Strange is having a field day.

I have only the faintest familiarity with Kang from comics, but that performance from Majors has me pumped to get more in Phase 4!

Not only would MCU have to bring on all the mess FOX and SONY made for the past few years, the main point is, MCU *needs* to create their own versions of the characters in order to last for the next ten to twenty years! We need to put our nostalgia behind and look into the future!
Wholeheartedly agree. Even though I will never have the same love for another actor playing Wolverine the way I instantly fell in love with Hugh Jackman back in 2002/3, Marvel's gotta to do it properly from scratch. I also agreed with Agustin when he said that we probably don't need to worry, coz Fiege is the ultimate Marvel fanboy. He's already said that as early as when Iron Man was in the works, he wanted an Avengers vs Thanos battle one day, only to likely get a 'sure, keep dreaming' look from others.
I feel the MCU should have it's own Eddid Brock. Dont care how good Tom Hardy is. I dont mind a crossover, but mcu Eddie should start of interacting with Spiderman.
I agree and disagree, I think it would be cool and fun if they coul pull in already established characters (like logan, professor x or magneto) from other franchises for a cameo or a one off thing (like Multiverse of Madness) but yeah not permanently
