    This is such a helpful guide! I'm a newbie and currently have a Vulp but wanted a plastic balisong for all the reasons you mentioned.
    I was in-between an Edit Lite and a Tay Calico and with your new thoughts on the updated Calico in a recent video (+ the fact I have small hands/prefer lighter balisongs), I'm getting a Calico. Happy to report back in a couple months 😂 Thanks!

    • @Inzanti
      @Inzanti ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @AcePlayz69 I wish I could say :( I haven't gotten an update from Tay since I ordered. I'm giving it until after the holidays for just a response to my emails and, if not, getting my money back and getting an Edit Lite instead despite it being super chunky for my taste.

      @asto6295 Got my Edit Lite a few days ago, and after adjusting to it, I'm a fan. It's well designed to flip easily, shipped quickly, and the long handles are forgiving while learning new tricks. So far, so good on the durability with drops.
      I hope Tay is alright, though, as I still like the look and sound of their flippers, but 3 months without a single update while leaving new order forms open is unacceptable.

    Edit Lite vs Cycloid HD? Does anyone have both of these plastic balisongs and which would you recommend, which one less noizier when hit ground, softer on touch, slimmer in hand?

    • @KStreetzero
      @KStreetzero ปีที่แล้ว

      Cycloid HD feels much more durable, slimmer handles and a little bit quieter to flip. That said the balance on the edit lite is perfect, it feels smoother in some aspects and I'm glad I have both. But I adjusted my cycloid HD weight to my preferences and it flips really well too.

    so i dont know much about my preferences cuz ive only had the classic squiddy and then the amazon marcolo c-116, im currently trying to decide between the calico and the edit light, which one would you recommend for more of a beginner who doesnt really know what their preferences are yet

    • @xandaran12
      @xandaran12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you like the c116 and the squiddy’s balance you might want to go for the calico because the calico is handle bias and your balisongs are also handle bias if you didn’t know handle bias means that the balisong balance more towards the handles but the calico balance is at the top of the blade and bottom of the handles where as the edit lite is more consistently weighted throughout the entire thing but is very neutral. I think if you want something very different then go for the calico and if you want something a little bit closer to the squiddy but still different then go for a edit lite

      The squiddy is just the most basic , the least fun , most expensive , and worst packaged. You get the squiddy because you DONT KNOW about other plastic balisongs , performance wise it's the worst on the list , and the durability difference isn't very much valuable here , because it's not like after 100 drops it becomes unflippable, my edit & edit lite have held up amazingly , and if anything it rounds the ends of the handles more and makes fanning more comfortable 😅 the squiddy is just the worst on the list easily. It's expensive & boring. The others can be cheap & fun.

      I agree the squiddy is good but if you used your ears you would know that, Ethan’s squiddy still came lose with lock tight. The squiddy hasn’t really been upgraded since the squiddy-B released leaving it behind. He never said the squiddy was bad he just said the screws come lose even with locktite.
