    I’m using 7/16 gauge with 1 strand of 4 ply yarn. Will I have to use 2 strands as 1 for this stitch? I don’t want my blanket to be Lacey . Thank love your videos ❤

    Another great one. In a thread on Facebook a question was what are your favorites to knit and I said blankets and socks. I give lots to family and friends. What r ur favorite projects? I did a baby blanket with owl eye for 10 rows and 2 purl rows. It came out great. Love your stitches. Thanks

    Hi Mrs. Shaw! Thank you so much for all your wonderful teaching videos! You have taught me soooo much! I'm so sorry to read of your loss, you're in my thoughts and prayers! I watch your videos almost daily. I'm having trouble with joining my sides, I can't seem to get it on the bottom ..? Any ideas. I'm trying the other joining method too. I've started over about five times.. Also, how do you go from a 20 stitch to a 5 or ten stitch around the last border? I'll understand if you're unable to respond.. But I would really appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks!

      Watch my symmetrical owl eye for how to take the stitches down to less and watch my corner and side help for extra help with corners and sides.

    Nice stitch!! As always!! So you are creating a larger initial square then working a ten stitch around that?? Correct?? If I want to start with a larger rectangle ????? What to do? The longer rectangle makes a better bed blanket size. Hoping to make that. Will it look just as nice using #4 yarn on a 3/8" gauge?? Thanks!! Where R the birds???

    • @DeborahShaw
      @DeborahShaw  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      no, its a normal 10 stitch.

    • @DeborahShaw

      Although i did say you could look at my video with the larger rectangle.

      @@DeborahShaw looking for your rectangle 10 stitch. Hiw will the twisty stitch look using a #4 yarn in 3/8" gauge? Will it look as good and not have holes like lacey? Need texture but no open weave. I heard you suggest pop. I get the thicker #4. I hope birds are ok??

      @@SherylKatz yes it will and i believe I said that in the video too. I did try to cover everything.

      @@SherylKatz it called the symmetrical 10 stitch that should help you find it.

    I love your stitches!! I'm working on a baby blanket right now using the Owl Eye Stitch. I made notes to shop for my yarn but I found out not all yarn companies are uniform in their sizing. I bought Barcelona Big, #5 Bulky but it is not as thick as what you use. So my pattern comes out looking a bit different, a little airier. But it's kinda nice so I'm going with it. This blanket is a lovey size, then I want to make a second blanket a bit larger and for that one I'm going to use Bernat Blanket Yarn. After doing those, I want to make a couple throws in adult size using the Bernat Blanket Yarn (they had a really good sale on it). So, my question is - have you used this yarn and would it be very difficult to do a 10 Stitch Blanket? I did a swatch with it in Owl Eye and it came out well. I worried about how tough it will be to see the stitches you have to pick up when joining because of how fuzzy it is. Any thoughts??

    • @DeborahShaw
      @DeborahShaw  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have never used Bernat Blanket yarn so if you use it let me know how it works.

    I chose this video to follow for my 1st 10 Stitch blanket, it's a baby blanket size. I'm about to finish it but your video doesn't show you knitting the end of the blanket before you bind off. My question is, after you pick up the last stitch for joining, do you knit across & end at the opposite side? (this would be the edge of the blanket) Or do you come back & end where you were joining??

    • @DeborahShaw
      @DeborahShaw  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      you can end on any edge you want. just before you would do a corner.
