I can tell he wasn't looking through his rear peep site. Some guys become so experienced they don't need it anymore. Tim wells doesn't even use a sight anymore and it just as good shooting "instinctive" with his compound bow. So maybe same with BJ?
At that distance it didn't matter, I had just enough to look through, I was looking through half of what my peep normally gives me, its a big peep too to help in situations like this, I got my bow re strung after this hunt. I have had a few comments about it asking me how I can shoot like that, peep size helped. Not much instinctive there but a lot of practise always helps.

It has rained everyday here of 2018 and I am vicariously living through sunny New Zealand bowhunting videos.I'd give my right nut to live there and hunt feral pigs and goats all year! Sure, we have our native undulates here but only in season, which I will of course hunt this fall being a BC resident. I booked a week long trip on Texada Island which is deer heaven with grass/shrubbery and no predators so a higher bag limit, 3 (Vancouver Island has the most dense population of mountain lion in the world, every spring sub adults come into town chasing bunnies). Hunting hogs is also difficult for us Canadians. We would have to go to a game ranch or the province of Saskatchewan which now has wild sounders of the huge Russian boar variety able to withstand our winters. Thanks for taking the time BJ! :)
