I never see anybody using this at the gym, but I heard it could be good for my non-existent balance and helping increase some fat loss! This is exactly the video I needed, going to put it into practice tomorrow.
Thank you so much for the history lesson on it! I had no idea NASA developed it for astronauts. I just bought one on Amazon due to my gym being closed during the pandemic and am hoping it can help build up my leg strength after an injury left both of my legs weak from non-use. It would be awesome if you could make a video showing the different exercises you do on it as if we were attending a class with you..because many of us are choosing to do this at home and there aren't many power plate class videos on TH-cam..so you could become a leader in this. Thanks again Gergo and be well! 😉👍
You can build muscle bro. Try doing any pushups on it, it will hurt like hell and you will get a crazy pump! This device can warm up a muscle withing 20 seconds!
yes, it's great for warm-up, and everybody is on different level, however it's hard to overload your muscles if you can already do 50 pushups. There are better ways to do that.
@@thecoachhousemadeira It's phenomenal for warm ups. you are right about the push-ups, but if you stand on it with 40lbs of dumbells in your hand it will be hard as hell! You could use it for grown up people and basically have them build muscle.
@@MrsHizBeluved Didn't buy it, just use it at my gym. But it would be good to buy. You just stand on it and get a workout. It would be stupid not to buy it!

I think this thing is great for seniors in supplementing their exercises. Maybe not super seniors as they might fall off if it's just a stand alone type w/o handles. I like mine but anyone that goes to the gym its not going to help much. I don't belong to a gym but I play golf, walk/hike and ride a bicycle regularly. I use mine as a daily supplement.

Hi! I just bought a Powerfit, a small vibration plate to use at home. Do you think i'll see results comparable to the Powerplate results if i use it correcty?
Best Power Plate video ever! Was very useful and informative. Indeed I cannot imagine laying on it. It makes my eyes fall out just when standing still. I will use it to train those stabilizer muscles as suggested. Nice channel! Thumbs up!
You are NEVER meant to stand upright, lock-legged on a Lineal Vibration Plate. It is a banned pose. Pivotal machines designed for stroke recovery work were designed for that. Pity a machine was sold to you with no such warnings.
Great video! I had knee surgery 10 weeks ago and have to work on balance. Do you think the machine would be beneficial, not only for recovery but also improving stability down the road? Thanks in advance :)
Yes! Definitely. It's a great way to get your balance back, just follow my advice on the video and don't lock your knee out. Also, talk to your doctor if you can use the machine in case you have screws in there.
@@thecoachhousemadeira thanks a lot for the fast reply! I don't have any screws but I will still talk to my physio tomorrow. Excited for when the gyms reopen! Your video helped a lot so thank you! Subbed
If you can show me a peer review research on the topic I can look into it, otherwise I think it's a bad idea. But I can only talk about performance and it's doesn't make sense. I know if a company have a product want to say it's good for everything. It's not a miracle machine. It does its job, nothing more.
" They say sitting on it and laying on it is good for lymphatic movement " That info is just copy and pasted from old marketing material. 99% of people selling these machines have no idea how they work. Bit of a shame.
@UCuXJ0IvvhUjKH6mt2PdSbVg there is a reason why you can't use it with a pacemaker, if you're pregnant or have retina problems. Shaking is not good for organs. Just because you haven't had problems yet, it doesn't mean it's good. But again, if science changed I'm happy to revise this.
I think everyone here needs to understand Vibration Training and Vibration Therapy are two completely different disciplines. I do not know how that is not obvious because you do not go to your physio for a hard-core workout or do you go to the gym for more holistic functional issues. ( like an injury ) Just because it has the word vibration in it, stop getting brain freeze. The same logic applies, it is not magic, it is only a tool and will only work towards a goal if you know what you are doing.

@@abigailbloom9160 Thank you for your response. There is fairly compelling research that shows that vibrations, at the G forces produced by the PowerPlate, can be seriously harmful to our bodies.
