- Hello everyone, I'm Rose from Uganda. My Chinese husband and our son (Anzai) live with me in a rural village in China. I share with you the joys of cooking and daily life in rural China!

Rose’s son eats such a wide variety of foods. Meanwhile, all I can get my grandson to eat is an occasional mango and rice, rice, and more rice; nothing else.
He is such an inquisitive boy with his handsome self. I miss you and hubby cooking together. I hope to see him soon.😊

He is being needy at the moment. Humour him then ask questions about school and whether he is feeling vulnerable to anything. If he is being more clingy than usual then you need to pay closer attention to his behaviour in his surroundings, or when going and coming from school

Hi Rose! My goodness you had a busy morning! I love tofu, but never have I ever had fresh tofu like this. I’ve seen you use that very heavy grinder in past videos-it’s a beautiful piece of equipment! The addition of bok choy to the tofu pudding, and then the dipping sauce? My mouth is truly watering! You are Wonder Woman for sure! Your talent is never ending. Rose will not listen to anything you people advise her to do, she'll just do it her way.
Some people get offended when you try to give advise because they think they know everything, she doesn't listen to her own husband why will she listen to you people.

The metal bowls & cheesecloths are so nostalgic to me. I remember when I was a child these were used by the older ladies shucking peas & other tasks. I don’t know where they went? Have not seen metal bowls in 35 years. Did we replace them with ceramic I guess?
