Definitely p-hardcore is not dying anytime soon! At least its influences are deeply rooted into pretty much most of what we know as "metalcore's choruses" which genre is still alive imho
33 now and still loving every second of this shit. Definitely find myself needing a break, but not for long. Just hits different. I’ve been heavy into synthwave these days.
This got in my recommended lol. As a kid/teen I would always be into these kinds of bands and this just gave me the most nostalgic feeling for some reason. Made me realize how much people, music and fashion have changed in such little time. Now that I'm in my 20s its very different from when these people were
I love that the algorithm is bringing all the warped tour kids back together ❤️ I miss the era of music so much, I remember every single one of these bands. But alas, we cannot stop the clock from turning. Post-hardcore has a bit of a different sound now, but that's just how music evolves. Now we have bands like Spirit Box, Dayseeker, Eidola and many others keeping the genre alive without it getting oversaturated like it did. ❤️
I can actually appreciate that this video did not include Matty, Jonny or Tyler, but instead a lot bands that did not get as much attention as the legends we all know. Nice video that puts some of the underrated bands in the spotlight.
Really great video review! I'm from Europe, where we were not as widely exposed to this genre of music, but I do see really close similarities between Metalcore and Post-hardcore, ESPECIALLY in the clean/dirty clean Choruses! It's actually like listening to P-hardcore! Thanks for the video anyways, I just don't see it to get outdated anytime soon!!!
The cleans for Edge of the Earth are done by Volumes ex-guitarist Daniel Schwartz, he left the band in 2012 after recording VIA supposedly, but i heard it was hance aligood from woe is me a while ago so idk
@@aliwahyudi5438 I'll give a thumbs down for Kellin because he is not good live whatsoever tbh I enjoy his older music but I don't think it made him top tier kind of vocalist.
Erra I know they're easily the most recognizable due to the albums popularity and the sound the band has. I say technically it is post hardcore but Erra is actually a progressive metalcore band.
I never heard of any of these bands . Since this video is old i expected to see alesana haste the day or bands i know but i guess i am to old for this video also. life slipping through my fingers. why i feel so old
Any clean vocalist list that doesn't have Dance Gavin Dance or Chiodos is ridiculous. Props for The Color Morale and Whether, I tho.. Love me some Jesse Cash although I like Ghost Atlas Better than ERRA. Suits his voice better. But seriously where is Letlive, MMF, ANYTHING from Anthony Green!? I mean this one generic band after another.
Anyone know what's band who have clean vocal and drummer? Im forgot what's name of the band but in MV they have woman talent and she has rose tattoo in his hand... Please help if anyone know, thanks.
Algorithm hitting hard, thanks for all the nice comments. :) I understand this style of music is quite dead unfortunately but i still love it
2 days ago?? That’s crazy. Hope you’re doing well after all these years.
Post-hardcore will never die!
I wouldn't say it's dead at all, it has certainly changed but it never died.
I'm 27, this genre never be dead to me.
Its not dead a lot of people still listen to these but they never post it and just kept it
Definitely p-hardcore is not dying anytime soon! At least its influences are deeply rooted into pretty much most of what we know as "metalcore's choruses" which genre is still alive imho
I'll never stop listening to this genre. I'm 30 now and I love the nostalgia of easier times.
33 now and still loving every second of this shit. Definitely find myself needing a break, but not for long. Just hits different. I’ve been heavy into synthwave these days.
27 and I keep the feeling... See you in the future when TH-cam get us together one more Time.
That's the most heartwarming bands and a little many others those keep me doing best as I can. Respect for all of them.
8 years later, Im now a man, and im still in love with I See Stars, Dayshell and Hands Like Houses.
How did your surgery go? :P
@@pewpewbbqs he was she 8 years ago?? omg!

RIP hands like houses
This video basically made me an erra fan a few years ago so thanks.

I just want to cry thinking of how much things have changed😭
Miss being a teenager during this era of great music 💚

Some of the cleans on as I lay dying tracks with Josh Gilbert are pretty epic! But this is a great and eclectic list!
As I Hire a Hitman to Kill My Wife
5:32 not gonna lie whoever does clean vocals in this song is a better singer than Myke Terry idk why they just didn’t keep this guy instead tbh.
The cleans for Edge of the Earth are done by Volumes ex-guitarist Daniel Schwartz, he left the band in 2012 after recording VIA supposedly, but i heard it was hance aligood from woe is me a while ago so idk
