When they all hugged dresser after he was crying when they gave him money due to brenda being pregnant touched my heart so much i loved how this movie instead of the temptations unfortunately showed how they may of fought in this group but their love for one another was strong in the end they was all cool again thats not how it always be but i love how this movie ended. Growing I loved both this movie and The Temptations but I remember watching The Five Heartbeats a lot more often. I haven’t seen either in well over a decade, maybe five two.
You couldn’t tell me the 5 heartbeats wasn’t a real group !!! 😭😭 I know every song every line we had it on dvd it was skipping every other part 🤣🤣😭. I even met Michael wright (Eddie Kane ) at an airport took a photo too unfortunately he was pretty drunk and possibly high looked just like the movie it was sad but he was soo nice .
As I got older I realized that Eddies buddie with the not so good legs was the 5th member of the group. Duck was just the piano player and writer. But when ole dude got his legs shot up and Him and Eddie was nowhere to be found that’s when we see dresser tell Duck he needs to go on and Duck get mad and says he wrote the songs in five part harmony bc even with Duck going on Eddie and the other dude missing it would only make 4 of them!!!
I love the hell out this movie when I was growing up every song and scene. Now that I'm older I feel like going home hits so different. I tear up now when it gets to Eddie and baby doll at church singing.

What's funny is that I never once watched this movie, even though my family had a VHS tape of it when I was a kid. I didn't watch the movie for the first time until I was around 24-25.

I used to wear my VCR out rewinding the part with the little sister coming up with the song. “I don’t see what’s so hard. All you gotta do is combine this part, with this part … 🎶 Hmmmm … Some people run at the first sign of stormyyy weea-aah-thaaa! 🎶
And the crazy part is the studio wanted him to cut that part and it turned out to be one of the films most iconic scenes.
2 of my favorite scenes in the movie, Duck being surprised to see Eddie singing in Choirboys father's church, and the final scene when they gathered at JT house and Dresser by his demeanor made it clear that he forgave Eddie about the past and what happened to Jimmy.

Growing I loved both this movie and The Temptations but I remember watching The Five Heartbeats a lot more often. I haven’t seen either in well over a decade, maybe five two.

You couldn’t tell me the 5 heartbeats wasn’t a real group !!! 😭😭 I know every song every line we had it on dvd it was skipping every other part 🤣🤣😭. I even met Michael wright (Eddie Kane ) at an airport took a photo too unfortunately he was pretty drunk and possibly high looked just like the movie it was sad but he was soo nice .
Wright mostly smokes and Drinks.
This movie was released on my birthday and these actors are truly legendary stars ⭐️ they deserve more recognition of themselves.

As I got older I realized that Eddies buddie with the not so good legs was the 5th member of the group. Duck was just the piano player and writer. But when ole dude got his legs shot up and Him and Eddie was nowhere to be found that’s when we see dresser tell Duck he needs to go on and Duck get mad and says he wrote the songs in five part harmony bc even with Duck going on Eddie and the other dude missing it would only make 4 of them!!!
This is one of my favorite movies. I know it word for word, song for song. I actually never even watched the temptations

I love the hell out this movie when I was growing up every song and scene. Now that I'm older I feel like going home hits so different. I tear up now when it gets to Eddie and baby doll at church singing.
