  • Temperatures go wild, the environment is changing and… we found out that our time here is over very soon. I’ll explain why and also… if you work remotely and want to live here for 1-3 months for very cheap - be our guest! :)Comment or message me on insta @lisa_somewhere if you’re interested. :) It will be vacant from February through the end of April.

Yes it's cold. We had -30 to -37c for almost a week a while back.. but that is exactly why the seasons are so awesome. When You 'suffer' for a bit during the winter, spring and summer feels so invigorating and You really appreciate the seasons. I guess it's not for everyone.. but I would not have it any other way. Born here, and this is where I will be buried, eventually. :)

Such wise words! :) I totally agree that having real seasons is just so refreshing! Uncomfortable at times, but so amazing to see the huge changes in your environment, especially when you have a REAL winter. Never gets boring! :)

Lisa I watched when you were in BC so whatever you do pop in and show us what you’re doing. Enjoy your time left in Sweden and your new (old ) adventures. Take care.

Wow, it sure is bitter cold in northern Sweden! I'd be afraid of frostbite and my nose would bleed too. Beautiful winter wonderland though, nice neighbors, and fun things to do. I'm sorry your Green Card will expire soon and wish you all the best as you transition to living in the States again. Jenny USA🥶❄⛄

I hope you had a great Christmas and new year celebration. Looking forward to more colder wonderland videos.

2:22 The twin beds are likely just to increase sleeping capacity/options, since it’s a vacation home typically used for holidays like midsummer when extended family and friends are visiting.

Yeah, that's probably true.. I get it, yet still find it a little bit silly.. :)

It has been interesting, fun and a bit nostalgic (since I been there many times) to follow along your adventures in Jämtland. I'm sorry you can't stay longer. There is so much more to explore in that area. I wish you all the best where ever that may be.

Thanks so much for following this journey! I know there's still soooo much around here... maybe another time. I'm glad you found these videos though as the odds for finding someone post about your childhood area are not really high.. :) All the best to you, too!

I am going to muss your Swedish videos!
As to the window frost.. in northern alberta, the windows stayed frosted like that all winter.
Thank you for another great vid!

Aw, I think I will miss making them! Oh but thanks for making us feel better about the window frost! I thought we're doing something wrong.. XD

So cold!!! It actually got down to -10F(-30F with the windchill) here in Chicago the other night. 🥶

Oh noo... the windchill is brutal! Hope that doesn't happen too often! I never looked up windchill here - luckily there is usually not a lot of wind... :D

That's a shame because March-April when the sun is back is when winter actually starts being nice and it's even possible to get tanned.
By the way at first I interpreted the video title negatively like "who the f*** wants to live here??" but then i got it.

      @lisasomewhere88  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Oh that sounds so nice! Tanning even! I wish we could stay... but we had a good amount of sun recently at least. :)

We had about 2 weeks that ranged from -30 to -20 in January probably we will see some more dips in February. I’m in Calgary Alberta Canada people have a varying attitude to the cold. But I’ve always loved it all. I only get fed up in March when winter lingers till May then I am done. But I live for summer, I feel free, like a weight off my chest.

Yeah I saw that it's been unusually cold in Alberta recently.. Sure makes for an adventure in a way! :) But yeah, I can imagine a snowy late spring can get quite annoying.. But then at least you know summer is close by and will come for sure!

The phone thing in cold weather.... say you have an iphone without saying you have an iphone 😂.

I can see you not wearing the warmest gloves for this weather. Gloves are not as warm as mittens. And triple thickness wool is the best insulation.

I know, I wish we had mittens... next time we´re going through a cold winter I'll get a pair!

Oh I bet, but it has to be the States, immigration stuff.. But I loved Vancouver and Victoria when I lived around there for a year! :)
