I flew my Marlin (formerly yours) this morning. It fly's great. But, mine don't backup.

Yeah I had no idea they had stated including reverse but there was that little yellow wire with explanation so I had to see what it was and """MAGIC""" reverse!

so did the main landing gear come bent back from shipping or did the pre pre maiden cause this? thank you and ty

No there was no pre maiden. That was true one. The gear comes that way a little angled to the rear. My last marlin was the same.
