Great video!
Thanks for the wisdom of “slow & steady” 😊
I'm not very good at implementing slow and steady if I'm being honest, but trying to be much better at it! :)

Me, too! A constant goal! 🤣
Great info thanks!
Absolutely! Thank you so much for watching!
Thank you so much for your content. So encouraging as we prepare to start a back yard homestead on 1/4 of an acre. This is so encouraging
I have been binge watching your channel & I love your content! I have been container gardening for a while but I was finally able to purchase a house with about .35 acre backyard space and seeing other people homestead in more neighborhood settings is so inspiring
This just made my day!! Thank you SO MUCH for watching and for your kind comment! I truly appreciate it so much! And congratulations on your house!! Can't wait to see what you do with your space!
This video looks amazing KyAnn! Thanks for being honest for being overwhelmed at moments. I still don't know how you do it all with small children. I get overwhelmed by indoor house plants. Lol
Thank you so much, Rachel!! It definitely takes planning ahead and things for sure don't always go according to plan with having little kids along for the ride, but we've loved bringing them along for all of it! They are learning as much as we are, which is so cool! But also yes, 1,000% neglect my own house plants at times when things get crazy with all of the outside projects, not going to lie. 😂🙈 Thankful for hardy house plants lol!
Hi-very good video, genuine and honest-and helpful! As a wishful homesteader, I learned some things from your advice. I live in a strict neighborhood with a HOA like the gestapo! So frustrating, but still managed to stay within the lines and have 3 raised beds and grow bags for a ton of harvest. Can’t wait to do it again.
One more thing (like you need that, right!😂) could be diving into botanical medicine. That’s a passion of mine and there is nothing more fulfilling then growing my own “medicine” for my family! I feel God gave us what we truly need and I’m trying to find his original owners manual in the medicine! Lol
Best of luck with the new baby on the way!
Thank you so much, Crystal!! I'm so glad you found it helpful! SO excited for you to be able to garden again this year and I can't wait to learn alongside you as we are so new to gardening.
And yes! I am definitely interested in learning more about botanical medicine, I just haven't been able to spend a lot of time researching it yet. But it is definitely on the list! I totally agree with you and as we've switched to more natural medication and holistic options for health in general over the last 5 years or so, it's definitely peaked my interest to be able to grow more of that ourselves in our own backyard. I'm excited to do that in the future for sure! What did you start with growing for this?
What flour did you use for your sourdough? Follow up question, what flour do you use for your baking, like breads?
I use unbleached all-purpose flour in my sourdough starter and most of my sourdough recipes (some have whole wheat flour added as well, it just depends). Because we are gluten free, I use gluten free flour (specifically the King Arthur brand) in anything that we're baking that isn't sourdough or isn't long fermented. My husband can handle the all purpose flour in the sourdough because it ferments and breaks down for 24 hours before I bake with it, but we have to use gluten free flour for everything else. Hope that is helpful!
