- Take a ride on Steeplechase at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in this on-ride POV. Steeplechase is an Arrow Dynamics roller coaster with three individual tracks, thrill seekers ride around the track going up, down and around whilst sat on a fibreglass horse with a seat belt restraint.

I love how steeplechase interacts with Icon and the big dipper
One of my favourites, brilliant POV.
I remember going on this when I was a kid back in the 1980s. The seats were polished smooth by all the arses that had sat on it over the years so you slid all over the place when you went around the bends!
I remember going on this as a young kid and holding on for dear life!!

One of my favourite coasters, I will certainly be making the most of it every time I visit Pleasure Beach from now on just in case predictions about its future turn out to be true.
This was rougher than I expected when I went on it.

I still need to ride the yellow. I tend not to go on because the brakes get me. I'm never ready but if the yellow is open and it's a moist day for a good glide I'll be on.

I have always wandered how they get the horses off the track because there isn't any transfer track.
Explains why it's so rough if you come off with less than 25 hip bruises - You've not ridden it properly... 🤣

I read somewhere it was Nick Thompson’s favourite ride. I think Grand Prix & Avalanche are at greater risk. To be honest I’m surprised there’s nothing out & back over the car park.

This ride made my hips hurt for an ENTIRE WEEK
TBH, I think it's had its run now, lasting nearly half a century. If I was to replace this ride, I would choose a B&M Dive Coaster like Valkyria at Liseberg. Either that or it could go in the area where Wild Mouse & Trauma Towers were, seeing as Blackpool don't have a B&M yet
I think quite a lot of the rollercoasters at BPB are on their last legs tbh

Why does it look so slow, I remember holding on for dear life as it careened around the track

It was quite rough and had sudden stops
One sudden stop, the brakes at the end. Still going strong though.
Went on this the other day and the left lane broke down lol got stuck

This thing traumatized me as a child when I went on this, now I have a horrible fear of rollercoasters.

Not really unsafe. It feels it but you're definitely secure
