it's nice that he can look at what's primarily junk and see value in it, and make a living doing so
Thanks so much. I was doing this for 5 years now. I also have a 9-5 job. This is my hobby
Love the led watches, I have a newer one but would love one from the 70s. Saw the movement for one in a joblot last week but couldnt stretch to the price and didnt really want any of the other items.
They are so hard to work on I would pass. You really need to know what your doing to fix one
Great score on the scrap gold watch!
Thank you
The Timex you said was from the 60s is actually from the late 50s. Even cooler.
Oh wow, I didn’t have time to research it, but I will better
As you are looking at these inexpensive watches a breitling ad comes on
Hahahah a lot of my viewers own expensive watches
looks like a pocket watch the 18k one......great content as usual.
Thank you, I think it was 1920s that akward eta between pocket watch and watch
You need to investigate that watch more take to a jeweler to identify what brand it is!!! When you opened it up I was surprised it was mechanical and not battery operated. It looked like it was put together well.
True, a lot of jewellers charge for that service. And charge huge fees. I’m trying to find a good jeweller
These Swiss gold watches weren’t usually marked with the makers name as they were usually just supplied to the manufacturer of the case so the manufacturer of the case could sell it as a watch
Your right, but in this case the watch was broken so I scraped it
It’s too bad about the 18k watch ,it could be fixed but but it’s probably worth more as scrap unfortunately, if it were my watch tho I would try and fix it. , I like the look of Hamilton parts watch
Thanks there was just too much wrong with the watch to try and fix it. Also it looks like someone messed with it because tons of screws were missing on the inside
LED...not LCD.
LED is "Light Emitting Diode...
LCD is "Liquid Crystal Display". Just trying to help, no harm meant.
Oh thanks so much. I did not know that
I'm confused not being a Canadian or American but do you pax sales tax on second hand pre-owned items . The confusion is was not the tax payed when the item was sold new ,so the tax was paid ,so how can there be tax on the same item again. Can someone explain this or am just mistaken.
Hahaha yes unfortunately I’m my province of Canada we are taxed again as used. To the government a sale is a sale and condition is not an issue
The white Casio is like $16.88
Hahaha I sold it for $20
fun👍
Thank you

Hahaha
i used to have two of the led watchs took alot of voltage to light the early leds. Sadly both i dont have anymore.
Oh sorry to here. I find most no longer work after all these years
@@vintagesterlingfinds yep or some digits don't work might be loose solder
@@diamonds3958 yes
I have a timex similar to ur mens timex mine only runs for like 5 seconds then stops
I tried this a few times. Take out the movement and dip it in rubbing alcohol. Works well
@@vintagesterlingfinds lighter fluid ( naptha ) is better than alcohol.
@@thomasflynn5366 right, I have never tried lighter fluid
@@vintagesterlingfinds I got my omega pocket watch running good now, I used Brake cleaner to flush out any debris, then I sprayed the movement with Kroil, Let the movement soak it up for a bit, then gave another quick squirt of brake cleaner to flush out some of the Kroil , but not too much brake cleaner at the end because I wanted it to still have some Kroil for lubrication left on the movement, it’s definitely not the proper way , but the watch is working great now.
I remember my grandfather used to fix watches with lighter fluid
@@Kev-N42000 wow I have never used brake cleaner or Kroil. Next video I make about Timex I will try lighter fluid. Hopefully get some working
How much are you asking for the seiko at 12:38
Cleaned with a strap I would want $100 cad
@@vintagesterlingfinds what about as is w/o strap?
@@sashagray1077 as is, not polished, no strap I would do $75
11:20 did you sell this one
Sorry that watch is broken and doesn’t work
Mmaybe we can trade some watches I like those mens timexs
